My 10 year old son and I had a WONDERFUL stay at Chris' TerraSol. Chris greeted us on a 4 wheeler to make sure we found our parking spot and the little cabin ok, he gave us tips about the area - great hikes, best restaurants and showed us around his property (all on a 4 wheeler, my son says this was his highlight of the weekend).
The cabin is clean, has a comfy bed, double-paine windows, candles, flashlights and the view is AMAZING. Site has plenty of lounge chairs, chairs, a table, a fire pit, hammock and a bbq. It's secluded from the main house so there's lots of privacy. We felt very safe.
The location is awesome, a short 4 mile drive from the magical Nevada City. There we recommend Friar Tucks (for fondue - make reservations!), City Council for coffee and South Pine Cafe for brunch. Also, if you collect crystals, stop by Mimi's Crystal Rainbow. For hiking, we loved the South Yuba River Bridge (down 49), easy round trip hike to Hoyt's Crossing.
Will definitely be back to stay and explore more.

Christine, her husband and their beautiful kiddos made us feel like part of their family. They are incredibly personable, wonderful to sit around the campfire and talk to. Their farm is a paradise for kids - not one request for an electronic device for the entirety of our stay (and there was 7 kids with us). Lucky us there were 3 baby goats that matched the energy of our kids and a one week old baby sheep. They milked mama goat and the kids feed the babies.
The breakfast Sunday morning was phenomenal - sausage (from their pig), fresh farm eggs, sautéed kale with cheddar and pecans and a LARGE pot of coffee.
The farm location is 15 minutes to Moss Landing, 15 minutes to Gizdich Farm for a slice of pie, easy to get on the highway - central to everything.
This was my first hipcamp experience, after being a very regular at state parks visitor and it's so much more personal and unique. We highly recommend this beautiful place!
