Past trip
in The Arboretum at Bear Canyon West, WashingtonFlat, grassy, big sites. Beautiful views of the mountains. Hosts are kind and very organized. Other sites are visible through the trees, but far enough away that you feel secluded.
Past trip
in Parkside Mountain Ranch, IdahoWe stayed one night up far up on a ridge. You should definitely have an all-wheel drive vehicle to get up there as the road is steep and bumpy. But it's well worth the drive because the views were spectacular and the dogs loved getting to run around off-leash with no neighbors to disturb.

Site 12 Tent or Car camper
in Solace Farm, South DakotaKind people on a pretty little farm
By far the most wonderful experience weâve had so far - even with the 5am thunderstorm that woke us up. Cynda pointed out two emergency shelter options when we arrived, so we were confident that weâd be safe if the lightning got to close or a tornado came to visit. From the fresh-baked bread to the yummy homemade jam, from swings to the adult-sized playground equipment, from the fresh veggies and berries to the generous portion of firewood - we were humbled by the generosity, kindness, and thoughtfulness of our host at every turn. I canât say enough nice things about Solace Farm. Youâve gotta experience it for yourself!
Past trip
Flying "L" Vineyard
in Flying "L" Vineyard, MinnesotaStephen is a fantastic host, attentive but not TOO attentive. The camping spot was lovely - level and far away from other campers so our dogs were comfortable off-leash. There are definitely mosquitoes (it is Minnesota after all), so be prepared for that.
Past trip
in Henefer Valley Overview, UtahOur stay here was fantastic! Camp site 4 is up a dirt road and far from any other people, houses, anything. It was just us and the elk, deer, & coyotes. The sunset was beautiful and there were so many stars we had trouble finding familiar constellations. It was windy when we got there, but it died down by bedtime and we spent a cozy night in our rooftop tent. Ten out of ten.
Julianne hasn't gone on any trips yet.
