We had a lovely 3 nights here. Nice campsite with fire ring, picnic bench and flat spot under trees for our tent. The porta-potty was clean. There is a kitchen and outdoor shower a little far from the camping area. We didn't use the kitchen but looked inside, on every area there are signs with rules and more rules. They must have had a bad experience with someone not cleaning after themselves but it made us feel unwelcome. There was also no sign for the kitchen or shower so we had to hunt to find them. The outdoor shower (1 only) was lovely and hot but missing a board in a key location and very simple. Nowhere to put your towel or clothes when you're in.
There is a trail to the ocean but it gets pretty unkept after a little ways so we didn't brave it.
We chose this spot because we left it too late to get a reservation at a State Park. It was lovely and we had a great time exploring Pt. Arena, the lighthouse and day trip to Fort Bragg and Big River Beach (best ever!), but at $60/ night plus $10/ night dog fee it's pretty expensive for what you get.

Beautiful spot. It was quiet and lovely and in an amazingly beautiful part of the world. The people who run the site were kind and helpful. Port O Potties were clean. I would definitely go back.

The campground sites and surrounding trees and natural plants are beautiful and that is the very best part of our experience. On the downside, not providing any garbage cans and bringing in all our own water and not keeping up with cleaning and emptying of the porta potty is pretty bad. The electric hookups are pretty funky and probably around 20 amps, but fortunately we didn’t need to use our heater or air conditioner. Even though we had brought our own native wood from the same county 2 hours away we were told we could not burn it and had to buy from them. Showers are very funky. I think for the price they should put more money into upgrades and maintenance.

The campground was very well kept and clean. The host was sweet too. We camped in a tent and had plenty of room! There's a baseball diamond, so don't forget your glove! There's also lots of wood available at a very reasonable price. We will definitely be returning very soon!

Loved it!
We were in Campsite #4. Great spot nestled in the corner. Had water and electricity at that spot.
Hosts were welcoming when we arrived. Campground was very clean. Other campers were friendly and respectful.
Overall, it was a lovely time!

A great local spot. Robert checked in with us as did the caretaker, Stan. Attentive but gave us space. Nice guys!

Porto-potties, but super clean. Water (listed as non-potable) and power outlets. Big level spots to stretch out by the campfire. Outdoor shower took a quick second to figure out but was really nice.

Lucked out and had the whole place to ourselves on a quiet, bluebird weekend. Clean and charming. Secluded this weekend and also a great place for a future friends gathering. Kickball anyone?

Will be back. That should say it.

We are really happy with our experience. We had the place to ourselves. If it were full, campers would be close together. It probably is only busy when groups book it. I would like to return with friends. Facilities very clean. Private. Could hear the ocean but could not hear the highway. Slept great. Nice hiking and biking to the dunes and beach just north of Point Arena Lighthouse. Nice market 1/4 mile from camp. Flat parking in cypress grove with water and power. Host delivered load of firewood for $20.

Chris was so welcoming and friendly! She would walk or drive by periodically but was super respectful of our group. She was able to place all four campers in one private setting.
The walk to the beach was so beautiful, and the cows so friendly too! We would definitely come back.

Super beautiful, private because we were the only ones there. If it was full I could see it being very crowded. It’s kind of like a central field, with campgrounds each around it, some more private than others. The grounds were beautiful. It’s a trek to the beach there, through sand dunes, but we enjoyed the adventure and other beaches are easy drives. Note that you will pay $40 per night per tent, $10 per night per extra car. Anything besides one RV and one car is extra. We ended up doubling our intended $$ with $180 additional dollars for three nights. Could be more clear exactly what the extra fees are and that they are charged per night. We would stay here again. It was beautiful.
