Top notch glamping experience
We had the privilege of being the first couple to rent out the newly listed Glamping Tent at Andrea and Garyâs farm for our anniversary. From start to finish it was an amazing experience! Everything inside the tent was reclaimed or repurposed, including the old cast iron stove and 90 year old dresser! All needs were taken care of, with a cooler full of ice cold refreshing mountain water and a fully stocked, locally sourced, tea and coffee bar. Plenty of lighting was provided via a well stocked flashlight drawer and battery operated candles.
Inside the cooler, breakfast foods were offered in the form of biscuits and sausage the first day as well as pancakes and scrambled eggs the second day. And we absolutely cannot forget Andreaâs homemade caramel apple jam that tasted just like sweet apple pie! All food was organic, locally sourced, and well labeled. A propane stove is provided for the food to be prepared by you at your leisure.
The sauna and indoor shower are a short walk from the tent, but still in a private area away from the main house. The tent itself is tucked back in the woods up a hill to give the utmost privacy. New loads of split firewood for the wood burning stove in the tent are delivered each day, as well as a service to remove dirty dishes and reload the cooler.
The farm itself consists of mostly chickens and turkeys, as well as two very friendly Great Pyrenees dogs which guard the livestock from predators. We also met Tom and Blackjack, two of the resident cats that patrol the property.
The overall ambiance of this location was so relaxing we never wanted to leave! The bed itself was extremely comfortable and had plenty of pillows and blankets to keep warm during the chilly evenings.
Above all, the customer service we experienced was nothing but top notch. Before we arrived and throughout the visit, our hosts were available and quick to respond to any needs we had. We would highly recommend this stay and will definitely be returning in the future!

Site 2 Riverside
in Arber-Moore's Ranch, CaliforniaGreat spot!
This was a great stay! Vivian is very friendly and accommodating as far as check in and check out times. Arrival to the site itself takes some doing, but instructions are sent out ahead of time with local restaurant suggestions, hikes, and directions. GPS will take you to the wrong place!! This is the beginning of a larger campsite plan, so itâs good to keep that in mind. The entry driveway is a bit cluttered as itâs a working ranch, but the actual camping area is separate from it all and private. There are a few tent only campsites and two RV sites. The RV sites have 50, 30 and 20amp connections at each site. Thereâs also a water connection. Wifi is in the process of being installed, as well as other theming elements. Currently, there is a shower tent which will be changed to a hard walled shower. A port a potty is provided as well. Each site has a picnic table and a solar lantern as well as a trash bin, recycle bin, and compost bin.
Overall Iâd say the best part of this site is the cleanliness. The port a potty itself was the cleanest Iâve ever seen, and the sites didnât have any trash on them or anything. Easy entry for big rigs, once youâre able to find the place. Great location for exploring Channel Islands National Parks

The road to get up there is a little rough, but totally worth it! Jake is a friendly host, and was even able to help us out with a little pet sitting while we were away from the RV!
