(Dispersed site)
I loved my stay here. Joy, the host, was so kind and accommodating. She was knowledgeable about the area and great with communication. I stayed two nights and felt extremely safe as a solo female traveler. There are multiple sites behind the hosts home and it is a beautiful property surrounded by trees. There are a few campsite spots all surrounding a circular gravel road with a central communal fire pit, grilling station and picnic tables. There were other campers while I was there and didn't feel like i was too close in proximity. There is a well maintained outhouse walking distance from the sites where a second communal bonfire location is at. I didn't have service there with verizon but the host offers wifi near the house. (Though service wasn't really needed unless I was trying to research local things to do). They have a chicken coup where you can purchase eggs, as well can purchase firewood next to the firewood pits. There is a nice short walking trail behind the sites and also a tire swing. This was a very relaxing stay with many birds singing in the trees. I used this as my hub while I explored Marquette. Close drive to town and also if you wanted to rent kayaks/canoes at the property you can drive to the boat launch a short 5 minute down the road from the house. This place is great for small groups or large. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back!

in Shadow Hills, CaliforniaGarth's property was great! I felt very safe as a solo traveler and the views were beautiful!
There is a long driveway and the first couple of camp spots are to the right then the "Pepper" spot is by itself at the top of the driveway. The view was amazing, felt private and so calming looking at the hills as the sun went down.
I was greeted by the hosts and they were super friendly and we chatted for quite a while. They live on property and there is another property next door but still felt secluded and quiet.
There are many perks to the site you can request such as a cooktop, wood and portable toilet if you don't have one yourself. Theres a nice picnic bench, chairs and fire pit. A trash bin is nearby at the sites below and also the horse shoe set up at the two sites below.
There is a trail not too far from the property that wraps around the mountain and this spot is a short drive from all the wineries! Perfect little getaway and even better that you see the hot air balloons during sunrise.
I will definitely be back! Thank you guys!

site #1 River View Get Away
in River View Get Away, MichiganAwesome and safe hidden gem!
This was a great stop for me on my way up to the upper peninsula! The host Kathy greeted me and was so friendly. I found the place easily off the highway and you drive straight past all the main buildings until you see the big river front sign out back. The site is well paved with gravel and very clean! So much space for campers and cars. All the amenities needed were there such as wood for fire(already prepped for me before arrival) picnic table, benches, hammock, an outhouse that was clean. Kathy brought a couple of kayak options which was great, I took the kayak out in the morning and saw some otters! Nice easy paddle and beautiful. I had some cell reception, you are a close drive to a grocery store and though you are close by the highway to hear the road noise this didnât deter me. This was a perfect place for me to pitstop as a solo female traveler just passing through town. Kathy made me feel comfortable about the safety of the property and was great and quick with communication. The view of the river was great and a bonus to kayak! Thanks for a great stay!
Sombra Antigua Winery
in Campsite Closed, New MexicoSafe place and friendly owners!
Nice place and friendly owners! This was a safe place for me to stay while traveling on the road. The owner greeted me and the winery was nice. Got a chance to try out the Day of the Dead wine and it was great! I was bummed i missed out on the live music they offer on weekends. The facilities were clean, the campsite and road were easy to find. The gravel site was level for my van and the area is well lit at night. They offer firewood bundles for extra purchase too. Overall nice stay and the sunset was beautiful!!
Sip & Relax - Wine Country Getaway
in Sip & Relax Stay-Glamping, CaliforniaViews views views!!
The views from this site are UNREAL! The green rolling hills and beautiful mountain views are so beautiful. We were lucky enough to see the mountains when there was snow on top of them. Nice big lot that has good space for campers and vehicles. Safe area as well and close to wineries. This is a fun getaway and the hosts are so nice! They set up some fun games and there is an area with picnic bench, chairs and a gas fire pit to use. Was a perfect getaway and sunset views of the hills is so worth it!
Site 1 - Elderberry Park
in Villa Macala, CaliforniaPerfect camping getaway!!
This was such a great stay! My friend and I drove our camper vans here and used the Elderberry Park Site. The property felt safe, its very well maintained and the hosts are so friendly and welcoming. They greeted us as we arrived and guided us to our site. They gave us a tour around the property and shared their story and any questions we had about the process of making olive oil, which was so fun. The site was great and had everything we needed. The restroom was clean and even has a shower to offer with extra toiletry items. A microwave and mini fridge to top! You get amazing views of the mountains, which we were lucky enough to see snow cover. You can really see how much the owners care about this space and their guests. Perfect getaway that is not too far from the local things to explore like the wineries or nearby lake. I would definitely come back again!
