Historic Camping Cabin 3
in Mendocino Woodlands Camp, CaliforniaGreat communication before our scheduled date and upon arrival! The staff was super friendly and so helpful with all of our questions! The cabin was perfect! Fireplace to keep us warm on a chilly night and having 2 of the cots scooted together already was helpful for us. The cot mattresses were comfy enough. The restroom and showers were very clean and kept up well. We enjoyed being able to hike straight from the cabin to many of the beautiful trails in the park! Highly recommend staying here to unplug and reset! Bring your bug stuff though! Oh and we saw a barred owl on one of our hikes!

Past trip
in Redwood Cabins, CaliforniaWe arrived after dark and Joseph had the lights on waiting for us! The cabin has all the amenities you would need! A sink and stove in the kitchen with all the pots and pans necessary to make a meal. An outdoor bbq if you want to grill too! Loved the addition of the propane heater! It took the chill off in the morning! The bed (they have sheets and blankets!) was comfy and the little inside dining table was perfect for us to eat and play cards. The outside bathroom/shower was adorable. Way better than any campground you could stay at!
All you need to bring is food and clothes and you are set here! It's a 20-minute drive on a winding road to the village of Carmel Valley. Enjoy the scenery and all the ranches!
We truly enjoyed the quiet of the cabin and would 100% recommend to anyone looking to do some glamping in a beautiful area!

Past trip
in Five Fours Camp in Three Rivers, CaliforniaWe absolutely loved our stay at Five Cours Bunkhouse! The pictures don't do this place justice. The views are incredible! Loved the outdoor gravity fed shower with a view of Sequoia-Kings Canyon! It was so refreshing after a long day of exploring the park that is just a few miles away. Everything on the property is wonderfully cared for and all of the small touches were very appreciated! Flushing toilet, small sink, and all the amenities in a regular restroom at a hotel you would expect. The site was private with sound of the river at night and oh the star gazing was amazing!! The feel of the place is so good too! We definitely want to stay here again when we visit the park again! Brewster and his wife are awesome hosts and their dog Ruby is so sweet! We were thankful we made these reservations pre-Covid. We wanted a less crowded campsite and this was perfect for during Covid. Being the only campers and knowing they are following all the protocols made us feel extremely comfortable.

Past trip
in Woolman at Sierra Friends Center, CaliforniaThe A-Frame cabin was adorable! It was a hot day but we still checked out the trails on the property! Loved being able to see the stars at night and waking up and looking out the window to deer in the meadow! This was probably the quietest place we have stayed and everyone was very friendly!

This was our first time using hipcamp and it was definitely a great experience! The communication with Leslie ahead of our arrival was awesome. When we met Jay and Micah in town for them to guide us to this hidden gem we knew right away we were going to enjoy our stay! We were the 3rd of 4 campers there for the weekend and picked out our spot. Loved the orchard and how quiet everything was. After we walked the property and were shown the bathrooms (super clean portables with a handwashing station) and the outdoor but private shower down the road a bit we set up camp. Then we joined our fellow campers at the communal fire pit. We happened to all be first time hipcampers so that was great and we found out another couple are from the same town as us! We really liked having the communal fire pit and bbq area instead of the separate ones like at most campsites in parks. We are all out to have a nice relaxing time, why not enjoy it with others that are of the same mindset? Plus, I think the hubs was hoping to not play Uno again. Hours or chatting around a campfire sharing stories and wine was much better! It also allowed us to chat about where to explore the area. The location was not far from the quaint town of Point Arena and was just the perfect relaxing camping get away we needed. If you are looking for glamping and complete privacy I would go somewhere else. If you are looking for a great friendly rustic camping experience where you get to hang with good people, then this is your place!
