Past trip
in Draco Hill Nature Farm, IowaNice place, unclear directions
Grace S.has mixed feelings towards this listing.
The place was nice, but when we got to our registered site (site 1), another group had already set up camp there. They had way more stuff than we did, so we ended up taking their site for the night (site 2). The sign that diverts cars is pretty unclear and takes some special attention. I would redo the sign at the first fork and put a second sign up at the front of site 2's turn-off.
Past trip
in Brightstone Lake, IndianaGrace S.has mixed feelings towards this listing.
The spaces are pretty close together for the large land area available. There was only one other group camping in the designated spots while we were there and we ended up right next to each other because the camp host said the other spots were booked... even though the other spots stayed empty the whole time. Would've liked to spread out more.
Several other groups were seemingly camped out around the lake, but there was no indication that was allowed-- I assumed it was neighboring land with neighbors camped. Who knows. Nice lake, and a nice walking trail. Porta potty was clean, but there was not much shade around, so it was pretty hot for July.
Past trip
in Sudden Valley Ranch, MissouriGreat stay-- the spot is surprisingly secluded on Randy and Milissa's horse farm. We took a dip in the creek and loved walking around the compound. Reifsnider conservation is not far, and great to get your nature fix.
Grace hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.
