Decent place for a quick stop
The land is beautiful, and so is the wildlife. Just a few things that weren’t the best, but they weren’t the worst either.
- Port-a-potty had hundreds of maggots swimming around in it. I’m assuming we went between services, so not owners fault, just be prepared.
- No map, so we weren’t sure what was available to explore and what wasn’t. Didn’t want to trespass so we pretty much stayed on our gravel slot and then looked at the lake.
- Could hear a man (assuming the host) yelling after kids, and kids yelling and playing. We didn’t mind one bit but some people might.
- Trash left in the fire rings from previous use. Ours had baby wipes, neighbors had beer cans.
- Sites are less than ten feet apart, fire rings even closer, again we didn’t mind but some people might. No line of trees for full privacy between sites either.
- TLDR; If you’re looking for a totally secluded peace and quiet trip, this is not the place. If you’re okay with sounds of family having a good time, close neighbors, maybe having to pick up some trash and doing your business in the woods, then this place is great!
Husband and I would probably come back with friends, so we could share multiple sites and not feel so bad about invading neighbors space.
