Gary T.has mixed feelings towards this listing.
(Dispersed site)
This is a good place for select campers
It just wasn't for us personally...left a day early ....had nothing to do with the surrounding towns/areas to enjoy
Pics of sandpit and road down there should be noted...4 wheel drive would be better to get in there
It's quite a trek to get to the more primitive remote sites and will have to use a cart or carry your stuff in
Brenda was friendly and checked in with us and let us know about things in the area
Cell service was non existent with Verizon till you go into the town of Athol for us
So if you bring a kid addicted to wifi.... consider that first

Past trip
West Hills Hideaway
in West Hills Hideaway, VermontI hate to give away our favorite hipcamp spots but this one is really nice
Talk about secluded and yet safe
The area is super nice too
Theres a large cascading river fall right down the street anout a mile and a half that locals frequent to cool off
Its amazing!!
Crystal clear cool clean mountain water.. my dog couldn't drink enough of it and i felt like a kid again....just beautiful!!
The best thing is that you dont have to bring much...theres a working fridge/freezer and stove/ oven in the camper..no ice trips to worry about
We did bring a grill with us to cook outside
There plenty of dry stacked wood on site
Deb has thought this out well...
We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely return!!
5 stars!!!
Past trip
in Maple Ridge Farm, VermontI honestly hate to give away great spots because they fill up fast... we were actually the first ones to camp here when it opened.. it was the absolute best time we ever had!!
And our second stay found the place even better this past memorial day weekend
Tony has added so many more things to his property it was even nicer this time if you can imagine!
Talk about hospitality....Anthony and Afleen will make your stay comfortable, with plenty of privacy, but totally accessible if needed...country store a couple scenic miles away...ice cream...beer....marinated meats/sausage just begging to get on your camp grill
Ice too...
We are definitely going back if he is not booked up solid this summer
Last year it was tough to find an open wknd
Love this place!
My God the views...stargazing conditions!!

in Secluded spot in nature, MassachusettsPast trip
in Maple Ridge Farm, VermontKeeping this place a secret was tempting so it doesn't get crowded....but i have to hand it to to the host Anthony ....this place is off to a great start!!
Multiple camp sites all around the property
We chose Ridge View site #1 up the hill behind the garage/barn
For those who aren't up to walking up the hill there are field sites as well
No worries about lugging gear...Anthony hauled all of it up to the site with his utv ...and brought it back down too...made it very easy for us
Has a cool rec room above the barn...it was so cool on a warm day there...like natural ac...can charge cell phone/tablet/chargers in there with multiple outlets.
Free coffee, tea, cold water in there too
Dart boards...table games...very nice for a rainy day
Private and communal fire pits...clean outhouse
Trash barrels near sites....potable water available
Just cant say enough good things about the place
Ice cream down the street along with a country store...and even a plaza with Market 32 grocery store...and all sorts of places to eat if you dont feel like cooking sometime
Guilford Fairground is practically across the street too....that would be a great time to book...you could walk to the fair
We were honored to be Maple Ridge Farm's first hipcampers...it felt like Anthony has been at this for years
Also...tons of wood everywhere to burn....nice dry kindling is abundant too
Awesome fire rings...big and heavy duty
So now you know....this place will be a treat in the fall too for sure....
Gary hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.

Sunrise farm #4 Site: âLILY PONDâ
in Sunrise Farm, VermontThis site (#4) was fantastic
Plenty of room for 12 by 12 tent and 10 by 10 canopy with plenty of room to spare.
I'd reccomend 4 wheel drive for the sites down the hill
Hard a tough time getting back up after it rained the night before
We had a great time
Plenty of wild life to see...listen to
And plenty of space between sites down the hill
Very private

Site 1 The Landing
in Campers Welcome to The Wolf Swamp., New HampshireLoved this place
Couldnt have been happier. Site was flat huge and even an extra bonus shady spot carved out for a hammock...and just out of direct noon sun.
Tons of space between campsites...nobody could be heard or kids running thru your site like state grounds. Hosts were absolutely great!! Tons of firewood...daily water delivery to our site...couldn't ask for more. Yes a bit of road noise that melted away at night...yes there are creatures roaming around the deep woods you are in...its camping...deep secluded camping. Heard wolves, owls, crickets, at night...but never any issue at the site...you can park at the sites and keep your food secure at night on the car. Elle and Dwayne were fantastic hosts...made us feel welcome not only on our first visit but for visits to come....we thank you and will definitely come back...it was just a pleasure to enjoy the property...we had such a good time
Site 1 - Secluded spot in nature
in Secluded spot in nature, MassachusettsGreat place to bring children
First off..Michelle was a fantastic host. Very friendly and accommodating...and her kids were all sweethearts. We brought our slightly autistic grandson with us and she treated him like family. The site was beautiful clean and well maintained. Heres a few things to expect so some of the more primitive hipcampers aren't disappointed. Its near a well traveled route...there is road noise...it does calm down enough late at night to hear owls, coyotes, creatures walking around at night. There are residential houses in the area which you may hear mowers in the am...or a cookout/party going on during a holiday weekend. But what you get is a clean pool that was accessible just about always...a hot tub that is great if you take advantage of the trail system close by and need to relax after. Cascade Falls Park is close by. Trampoline and zipline (onsite) was endless fun for the kids. They have a tree swing up on the ridge with a beautiful view that im sure is spectacular during fall time. So you get alot here for your money compared to any other public or private campground with unpredictable crowds. Convience and package store close by to grab quick stuff if needed.
We had a really good time here!
Thanks Michelle!
