Do yourself a favor and take a trip to Vashon Island to stay at the Airstream Lodge! This was the perfect retreat from Seattle - a short drive and a 20 minute ferry ride, and you're transported to peaceful island life. Mario greeted us when we arrived, giving us a quick tour and some history on the airstream, which used to be used for FBI surveillance! He also introduced us to the landowner and was able to give a ton of recommendations for food, wine, and sight-seeing on the island - we're already planning a trip back to try all the amazing restaurants he recommended! The airstream sits on a wide, open piece of land with a beautiful view of the water. It also has a firepit and BBQ outside, which will be awesome in the summer! The interior is spacious and beautiful - Mario has truly paid attention to every corner, adding in details like succulents, cozy blankets, dried lavender, candles, etc. Plenty of seating in the front, with a large kitchen area (full sink, butane stove top, mini fridge, Keurig and French Press, pots, pans, spices, and more) and a bathroom (full shower and toilet) and bedroom in the bed. The KING SIZE bed is heated and has panoramic views of the forest around you, plus a TV! We didn't want to get out of bed in the morning. It rained for our whole trip, but that just made it even cozier! This was the perfect place to hole up & relax, and we can only imagine how great it will be in the summer. We also enjoyed some delicious coffee, food, and window shopping in the main part of town before getting back on the ferry to head home. Will recommend this to everyone needing a peaceful getaway, and will be back ourselves!

Dave was very communicative and helpful! We have been to many Hipcamp sites, and scouted many Hipcamp sites, and this will now be on our short list of favorite spots. You really can't beat the dog friendly environment, and having your own private trail to the massive beach. A great spot to bring your camper or van and just relax!

in Secluded Ranch Camp, IdahoWe'll be going back for sure
This is one beautiful site. It's the perfect retreat to get away from it all and relax in the farming hills of Idaho. Super fun for our dog to run around with wide open spaces. We saw deer, heard coyotes, swung in the hammock, and watched a golden sunset. Go check it out!
Campsite 2 ( Raven's Roost )
in The Landing at Index WA, WashingtonDave's great and thoughtful like always! Best campsite in the PNW by far!

Site 1 Log Cabin
in Tahuya Adventure Resort, WashingtonWhat a find! The Tahuya adventure resort is one of our new favorites. The Cromers are doing something really special out on the Olympic. The resort is hand-built to an amazing degree and quality which blew us away, it was so luxurious and still so rustic. As we stayed there in the awesome Cabin 1 we were at the beginning stages of all the awesome things they are doing at the resort, like bringing in many new ATV's to rent and take on the miles of trails near by, and even zip lines through the forest for adults and kids! As of August there were two cabins and multiple RV hook up sites, and those RV sites will each hold a similar cabin by next summer. They are pulling out all the stops way out there at Tahuya and we urge everyone to go and check it out! Did we mention the bathroom? It was legitimately nicer than ours at home haha! Go visit!
Organic Farm Camp
in Minto Island Growers, OregonElizabeth is so great and the Farm was really simply amazing to stay at. If anyone is looking to fully experience agrotourism this is the place to do it! We were lucky enough to stay here during the infamous Solar Eclipse of 2017 and saw it in it's totality! We strolled around the farm and were able to pick peppers, berries, and tomatoes, and there are so many other fruits and vegetables and flower grown here to tour through. The farm has it's own food truck too which is absolutely amazing- the fresh smoothies and original dishes were so yummy and well made. Elizabeth and her family are figuring out the best way for them to host campers and which locations are most ideal because the open field is great and there is also a huge area of fully grown tree rows which would be perfect for hammock and shaded camping. I really hope they find which areas work best for them to have campers and are able to share this lovely farm with everyone! Thanks again! - Evan & Charity
Cedar Arms Campground
in Skokomish Valley, WashingtonForest Yurt/Palace
in Forest Farmstead, WashingtonTerry and Erin run a great little homestead and farm out in the North Cascades. They are on-the-go tending to the animals and keeping up their property- it was inspiring to see them building such a unique place! The road in is easy and the endless views and exploring that can be had, whether on the farm or up and down the North Cascades Highway, make the stay a true Pacific Northwest experience. The Yurt was perfect, and can hold many people with multiple beds and floor space. It was the perfect "glamping" experience for us, not uptight or spotless, but very cozy and familiar. We can't wait to go back and share Terry and Erin's amazing hospitality again soon :)
Red Site
in The Arboretum at Bear Canyon West, WashingtonWhether you're roadtripping through Washington or looking to explore Mount Rainier National Park, The Arboretum at Bear Canyon West is the perfect stop. Situated in the heart of the Burres' expansive Christmas Tree Farm, the Arboretum is full of diverse plant and bird life, making for a peaceful and private meadow to set up camp. A picnic table, fire ring, cooking grate, and pile of firewood is included. Beautiful views of the mountains and river abound, and the camp host Barb was able to give us plenty of ideas for hikes and recreation in the area. When the sun went down we were treated to clear starry skies with hardly any light pollution to go along with the birds' songs. Can't wait to come back in the summer to explore Mount Rainier and swim in Riffe Lake! Thanks to Barb for the awesome stay. PS: if you have a drone, bring it! Barb is excited about making the farm extra drone-friendly.
