Past trip
in Trailer Lane Campground, CaliforniaI always love stopping over at Karen’s campground on our way to or from Oregon. Nice family operation with easy pull through and clean shower and bathroom facilities. Also we always stop by the mt shasta brewery in downtown Weed, great beer and food.. Freeway access very good, which does cause a little noise but ok if your in an RV.

Beautiful serene sight in the redwoods. The hosts were really amazing and accommodating, even brought us breakfast to our campsite . This is not a place if you just want to drive up and start camp. You will be carrying your things up or down trails to get to your camp spot. Each campsite is really unique. Also near to Alice’s restaurant which is a great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Lots of amenities coffee, tea , breakfast, use of the main house kitchen and bbq grill. Very accommodating to pets and off leash acceptable.

The Paddocks pasture camp was terrific. We had no problem finding it just down the road from the KOA campground. We were the first campers so were able to get site 1 which I believe to be the best site do to the close proximity to the outhouse which I must say is very well done and kept clean also close to a water spigot. The camp host was very helpful and stays on the property if any need for assistance. The firewood is a good amount for $5. You are very close to a mercantile combo hardware store that has everything you should need. With only 6 campsites it is a very unique experience. Plenty of space between campsites. The small town of pt arena is a must visit, there is a movie theater and a couple of restaurants and also a bakery, loved the cupcakes. If your graving Pizza the local market makes a pretty good one along with sandwiches. We will definitely be back to enjoying the solitude of a small camp with the sounds of the ocean and bright stars at night.

Marcia’s campsite was easy to find with directions given. Beautiful scenery with lots of trees and amazing views of Mt Shasta. This is a dry camp, so bring your own portable potty as we did(see photo). Very quiet and secluded from main road. Enjoyed meeting and talking with Marcia. Also enjoyed the wake up call from the local donkey! A must visit to the Mt Shasta brewery 5 minute drive on college ave and Ellie’s espresso and bakery on
Weed blvd, tasty bakery items and sandwiches and of course variety of coffee is options.

in Raven's Landing - Mendocino Coast, CaliforniaCamping under the trees
We loved our 2 night stay at Ravens landing. So peaceful and quiet under the tall trees. Less then 2 miles into Fort Bragg where the skunk train stops. Easy in and out access to all 3 camp sites. The Cowlicks Ice Cream parlor is a must.

Loved our 3 day stay on Teri’s land. We parked at spot 1 which was perfect for our pop up tent. We enjoyed the farm fresh eggs and bacon and sirloin steaks which are available to purchase from Teri. Easy directions to property also close to all needs of shopping in Redmond and about 20 minute drive to Bend.

what a gem! very welcoming and informative hosts. just steps from the reservoir, beautiful walk on the beach with wildflowers in bloom. every detail from the bathrooms to the dog wash were clean and uniquely designed. we stayed 4 days and first 2 was beautiful with no wind, last 2 were quite windy so if tent camping will have to take that in consideration. it’s a short distance to traverstine hot springs which has three pools can be crowded. will definitely stay here again if pssing that way.
