Past trip
in Bear springs, ColoradoNice spot. Advertised as close to Durango, although youâd never know it while youâre there. Itâs quiet and feels remote. We had a nice stay and used it as a basecamp to hike near Silverton.
Past trip
in Zion and Bryce Canyon getaway, UtahGreat location. It was nice having access to water and porta potties. Michael was very responsive. Their dog, Mack, runs around the property exploring, so you will likely see/meet him when heâs out there chasing chipmunks.
Past trip
in Palisade Vista, ColoradoNice in between stop. Quiet. Hard to negotiate a turnaround with a 19ft trailer without some planning. No shade. Yes there is a lot of glass and old rusted metal around, but unless you are walking barefoot outside a ânormalâ campsite perimeter, itâs minimal. My dogs were fine.

Past trip
in Rollin Boles RV Ranch, ColoradoBrooke S.has mixed feelings towards this listing.
If you are looking for something halfway in between Great Sand Dunes and Salida, this is the spot. It is exactly as advertised. Beautiful star gazing and wide open spaces. It was very windy and I was thankful I wasnât in a tent!
The biggest down side was the lot about a quarter mile away. It was a creepy junkyard with broken down cars, a beat up mobile home and play set for people I never saw. Again I was glad to be in a trailer. I arrived in the dark and didnât turn hard enough right to get to the site and started down the driveway of this place. (For reference - itâs a REALLY HARD RIGHT!)
That being said, I didnât see one human being the whole time I was out there, which was nice. Although this site wasnât in a great location for me, it might be for someone else. Trailer camping is definitely best here.

Past trip
in Set in Stone Cabins, RV & Tent camp, KansasBrooke S.recommends this listing.
(Dispersed site)
Easy to find and within sight of the Worlds Largest Souvenir Dinner Plate. Within walking distance of the Garden of Eden.I arrived after dark and left right after sunrise.

Beautiful, remote spot. We timed it perfectly for the fall colors and werenât disappointed. The mess provided lovely vistas and a feeling of solitude although the hosts were just down the hill. There is intermittently very weak cell service so plan accordingly. We were able to let our dogs run and play until the cows came home (literally).
I took my 19ft trailer up to the mesa without issue for those considering bringing a trailer. I think a bigger trailer might be challenged by the hill, the tree and the sharp turn.

Brooke hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.

Bearadise Acres South Hill Site #2
in Bearadise Acres, ColoradoPronghorn Oasis
in Pronghorn Oasis, ColoradoWhat a peaceful spot! Steve has done a great job making this space really welcoming. We had a lot of space to roam and I was super comfortable letting my dogs run around off leash. The final morning of our stay the cows came as close as the bottom of the hill but didnât make it to our site. We will definitely be back!

Site 3 Blanca Vista
in Mono Loco Flats, ColoradoHaven Hill
in Haven Hill, ColoradoIâve stayed here before and will stay here again. Itâs a quiet, private piece of heaven. The stars are so bright at night. Itâs a perfect spot for the doggos with lots of good smells and itâs safe to explore. The sites are clean and level with a picnic table and fire pit. It can get windy, but if you chose your spot well, you can use trees as a wind break.
Thanks for another relaxing stay!
