Brenda D.has mixed feelings towards this listing.
The surrounding landscape is beautiful and the camp sites are decent. The rest of the place is dated. When we checked in, they had signs saying to wear masks indoors. Kim, the woman that checked us in, was not wearing a mask (we were) she had attitude when she saw us wearing ours. When I said something, she said she doesnât do that. I was grateful that we are fully vaccinated, because of people like her not taking basic precautions.
Based on the name of the place, we thought they had natural spring pools. Not. Which is what we were seeking. This taught me that I need to do more research before reserving.
They have a good size fenced dog area. Several hiking trails and we made the best of our time there.
Past trip
in El Cosmico, TexasBrenda D.recommends this listing.
(Dispersed site)
El CĂłsmico is a great space. We have an rv so dry camped in the dirt parking lot. If I had brought a rent, I would have preferred staying on the grounds. It was fine for one night. Felt safe. Had access to the grounds and I really wanted to check out the vintage trailers. We have two of our own and that was well worth it.
Past trip
in The Meadows at Isleton, CaliforniaServed its purpose for one night
One night was enough for us. The camp spaces are not private. Only 2 spaces offer shade trees but they are below a road, despite the likely hood of a car driving off the road, it wasnât worth the risk to us.
Oleander has been planted at pretty much every site. Oleander is highly toxic to humans & pets.
Porta pots were funky. Need to be maintained and serviced more often.
The property has potential. It is centrally located. In my opiniĂłn, they should focus on offering shade structures and privacy vs creating more spaces.
The farm animals were the best part!
Brenda hasn't gone on any trips yet.
