The host, Holly was very nice. The horses were beautiful. My arrival was a bit awkward. A guy pulled up next to me asking if he could help me. He looked displeased. I thought maybe I was at the wrong place. Told him I booked the camp through hicamp. He still looked displeased and drove off. I booked this location because the listing included showers, a kitchen area and bathroom. To access the Wi-Fi you have to walk about a block to the main house and stand in front of the house to connect. It doesnt work in the camp area. The bathroom, kitchen and shower (hoses used to wash the horses - no privacy) were in pretty rough shape and not usable. With a bit of work to bring this place up to speed, it can be an amazing hipcamp. You're on a farm so expect to constantly be swatting tons of flies out of your rig and be aware there is no tree coverage (a struggle in the extreme heat.)

3rd visit. The previous host/owner was amazing and the main reason for my return visits. The unfortunate changes that have taken place since the new owners took over are the reason I'm unlikely to return. Too bad. Used to be a great place to camp. Dogs running off leash, unkempt grounds with garbage all over the ground, motor boats now allowed on the lake as well as random non-campers (friends of the hosts??) being allowed to roam around the campground late at night made this once wonderful campground now feel unsafe for a solo traveler like myself.
This place desperately needs Jackie back running the show again.
*the new shower is a nice addition but was dirty.

in Juan B.’s Land, TennesseeNice spot..
Amy B.recommends this listing.
Enjoyed this spot for a couple of nights. Plenty of shade, fire pit and a patio table with chairs on an expansive lawn was just what this road weary traveller needed. Juan was very accommodating and respected my privacy given the close proximity to the family home. Great location close to Nashville, stores and restaurants. Had 3 deer run across the lawn yesterday evening. Can't beat the price. Would definitely stay again.
Past trip
in Barren River Magic, KentuckyA little slice of heaven..
Amy B.recommends this listing.
Magical place with treasures from the past everywhere you look. The gorgeous landscape consists of rolling hills dotted with eclectic structures all over the property surrounded by the Barren river. The host, 2D is a true Renaissance man and brilliant folk artist. His dreamy one-of-a-kind laser cut fire pits are extraordinary works of art. His ability to give new life to the many treasures he's picked up over the years as a picker makes for a wonderfully nostalgic trip down memory lane.. 2D and his staff, Emily and Houston were very friendly, gracious and welcoming and the 2 dogs, Cal and Bert made this camp one of the best I've been to yet. Already can't wait to go back!
Past trip
in Heritage Farm Stay Adventure, IndianaSoo much love for this place!
Amy B.recommends this listing.
Loved everything about this farm The alpacas are stunning creatures. Several babies with one born the day before I arrived. Super friendly kittens, chickens and a friendly lab. Shared wine and great conversation with the family that owns this magical place and the other campers. Memorable experience. I will return. Highly recommend.
Definitely check out Adams Mill. Short distance away. Incredible place. Beautiful covered bridge and full of interesting history!

Past trip
in Paulk Park's Peaceful Pond, GeorgiaDissapointed
Amy B.doesn't recommend this listing.
Terrible. Hornet nests in the bathrooms was terrifying. A person who I assumed was checking on the campground speeding and fishtailing his/her car on the gravel road surrounding the campground kicking up gravel dust was obnoxious and had my allergies raging for the 2 days I was there. Host Brandy never bothered to show up so I couldn't address these issues with her and no cell signal to contact her. No shade trees anywhere so summer isn't a good time to camp at this spot. Won't be back.

Jackie is a warm, very friendly and welcoming host. The campground is tranquil and serene with rolling hills, flocks of wild geese and people fishing lakeside and in small boats. The pine trees smell absolutely divine. I spent an afternoon exploring charming historic downtown Conyers, GA and enjoyed an authentic southern lunch at the Southern Skillet Southern kitchen. A lovely experience all the way around. Enjoyed my first day so much I decided to extend my stay. Highly recommend. I look forward to returning again one day soon.
