We stayed back by a pond and we had total privacy the whole time. Ryan was always quick to communicate and we had a very relaxing time. I would definitely return in the future.

We stayed nearly two weeks at Boondock Ridge and we had a wonderful time. In fact, my wife said it was her favorite camping trip in her life, and we’ve done a lot of camping. The main site is huge and although it’s right off of a fairly busy road, it’s completely secluded. The views from the top of the ridge are gorgeous and having a stretch of the small river all to yourself makes this a very unique camping spot. There’s a trail that leads down to the second camping site where the artesian well is and our 65 lb. Shepherd mix loved being able to slip right into the shallow river whenever she wanted to. I put up a hammock down there and loved watching the water as I relaxed. We spent a warm weekend walking up and down the river and we tied a tube to a tree on the banks so that we could just lay back in the cool water. Nick and Teresa are very friendly and helpful, yet also give you all the privacy you want. We liked this place so much that we booked another long stay in September even before we left. We’re very excited to return.

Other quick info - Verizon has strong cell service here, Gladwin is a short drive away and has good grocery stores and a hardware store that has a lot of camping items if you forget anything, the fire ring is huge, and the well water tastes great, I highly recommend staying here!
