The Barn and mini petting zoo
in RedThorne Ranch, CaliforniaOwner was responsive but Overall we had just âokâ experience, itâs lacking thoughtful arrangements to make it exceptional experience. Our main intention was to see petting zoo and play axe throwing etc. but site was not upkeep, No one greeted us upon our check in or gave us tour of the property! We were provided fresh eggs but when asked some questions about the site, he just rudely explained in one liner without a smile and walked away!! There was no exe for exe throwing! It would have been great experience if we were allowed to feed animals.. bathroom was nicely set up but was missing body wash, shampoo!! AC took forever to get cabin cold and still couldnât get Master bedroom cold, master bed had window which did not have screen so we could not open the windows at night. There was fan which was too noisy so we slept hot.. kitchen had all the vessels but was missing oil (which we had forgotten to bring with us and realized late around 8:30 pm while cooking and asked owner if she can provide us oil/butter so we can cook but she responded at 10:30pm that she canât provide, sorry!!)
Little things like these make huge difference to make ok experience to great experience.. they have nice property and should put serious efforts to make this more welcoming, at the current stage, I would not recommend to visit this place, there are lot more properties in nearby area with much more services at reasonable price!
Past trip
in Birdsong Backcountry Retreat, CaliforniaLoved the remoteness, privacy, attention to all details for set up and the hiking trails developed around the entire place. Outdoor shower was located in a way to soak while peek into nature yet can not to be peeked by anyone else. RV and canvas tent were equipped with all you would need for perfect Glamping. We did all the trails around and it felt like around 2 mikes loop. Dont forget to take trail to âzen placeâ in early morning or at evening to enjoy an amazing view

The Falls
in Red Dragonfly Ranch, CaliforniaGreat place for camping outside the park. Pamella was super nice and welcoming. Her dogs were quite friendly too. All campsites were clean had developed such a way so they all get max amount of shades. We went when there was heat wave but still could enjoy at campsite due to shades till noon. Many good food places nearby and on the way to park. Park entrance is half hour so quite convenient for day trips to park.
Past trip
in Namaste Farms, CaliforniaGem in middle of the city
What a gem in middle of city. If you havenât been to any live farm, you should visit this. You gotta be animal lover to enjoy this place. So many birds and animals all around, turkey, peacock, horse, pig, cow, sheep, goat, duck, geez, rooster, chicken, rabbit.. you will hear them constantly (even at night). Rooster will wake you up at dawn and other birds will join throughout the day. And PEACOCKS..you will see them roaming with their spread feathers, dancing throughout the day. What a beauty these are..We stayed at treehouse and that itself was masterpiece, quite uniquely built. We enjoyed our entire stay and will be back for sure with friends. They have total 4 sites including treehouse, 2 trailers and a cottage for rent.
Past trip
in Websterbilly Ranch, CaliforniaAalap P.has mixed feelings towards this listing.
- With such glamping site, we had expected site spot right close to the view; however there were private tent sites which had better views than this site.
- Main complain we have is about heater. That was the first thing I had asked before booking and owner had said "we have heater" however during our stay, as soon as we turn on the heater, power kept tripping off. After contacting owner, they acknowledged the issue being with heater and mentioned that the site doesn't have enough power to support heater. They also dinât have heated blanket. We had even turned everything else off including fridge, lights, microwave to see if heater can run by itself but power still tripped off. On top of it, door of the cabin wasnât closing completely so we literally slept freezing inside and one of us caught cold. Owner din't even showed a courtesy to ask us how we felt in the morning after so many chats about heater late night. But she was quick asking for extra money of firepit. Apparently, they had propane operated fire pit installed for the cabin; however to use that they asked to pay extra 20$, which is ok however I would have expected those to be included when we are already paying so much for glamping site.
- Windows of cabin as well as door of outhouse toilet were rusty and werenât closing properly. One of the windows in cabin was so hard to close that I had cut finger slightly operating that.
- They have mentioned that outhouse shower is solar operated and hot water is dependent upon Sun. Both days we were there, it was fully sunny however water was too cold (forget about shower, even to wash your hands)
- This was really bad experience. Not at all worth the money. This whole experience felt like typical âcampingâ but we paid money for âglampingâ and canât justify the cost given all the main issues I have described above. We have been to many other glamping with way better service and experience with less than half price of this. I did brought up all these to owner and she just simply denied providing any refund which shows they don't care about the customer service and just after money.
In summary, donât waste your money here. There are enough Hicamps out there who knows how to provide magical experience accordingly to the price of the glamping they charge

Mystic Canyon Tipi Glamping for 2!
in Mystic Canyon Inn, CaliforniaUnique experience at tipi
Cool tipi experience and very thoughtfully developed site. Barbara was very welcoming and kept checking in with us to make sure we are having awesome time. Morning muffins was very delicious. On down side, the whole site had many dirt webs all around and even at the top of the tipi, probably kept them purposefully to give that old rustic feel, while we dint mind at all and actually liked the spooky feeling, others might not like this. They have lots of chickens and a cat who roam around near tipi and might disturb some sound sleepers, again dint bother us.
