This place was nothing short of amazing. The bed was the best sleep I’ve had in awhile. Views were spectacular and Brian had a million blankets and heaters to keep us warm.

This was the first time my girlfriend and I went on a glamping excursion. We are typically low maintenance car camping, backpacking, and minimal outdoor enthusiast. However, we wanted to splurge and really enjoy ourselves. Brian created a little slice of heaven over a breath taking landscape. He has provided everything one could think of to make sure our experience was out of this world. We cannot wait to come back to celebrate an anniversary or special occasion!

Quite a memorable little get away. Very private and beautiful setting. Brian was responsive to our questions and provided all the basics for an easy stay. He really means it when he says bring clothes and the food you plan to cook.

Brian is the ultimate host knows exactly what real Glamping is about ! he could write the book on it ! Just easy natural clean pretty private beautiful just the best all around ! we never even left except to hike across the street

Such a picturesque and quiet escape, with all the amenities of home! We particularly enjoyed early morning soaks in the lower hot tub to warm up before starting the day.

Being in our mid 60’s the trail into the property while carrying our supplies was a bit rough. Once there the views were spectacular. The tent was very nice and homey. Brian is very mindful of having supplies there to make your stay comfortable. The bathroom was great with more beautiful views. The compost toilet gets an A+.
The BBQ and outdoor kitchen was well equipped and more beautiful views. Very secluded and peaceful.
With the tent, bathroom and BBQ areas being on different levels you have to be able to get up and down the pathways.

Had an awesome time staying here for two days. Brian was happy to answer any questions that I had before the trip and met up with me as I arrived to show us around the property (with masks of course). Its an amazing place he's built there in the back of his house. The views of the mountains are awesome. We enjoyed easy access to the trails across the street and also the private trail within the property as well. Everything is as advertised and more. Looking forward to visiting again someday.

Really special space that Brian has created. It was even more beautiful in person. Leading up to our trip Brian sent us all the info we needed, including what was on site which was really helpful for packing. This place really is set up for you to relax and enjoy. All you really need is some ice, food, and a couple headlamps and he's taken care of the rest!

"Magical" doesn't cut it. This place is truly idyllic! Felt like we were in the Swiss Family Robinson! As parents of a toddler, we desperately needed a quick, semi-local getaway and this was the perfect spot. We stared out at the vista for hours in silence and soaked up every last ounce of relaxation.

We stayed three lovely nights here and enjoyed the closeness to nature and the comfortable touches Brian offered. Very private and very comfortable. We could have watched the birds, squirrels, and deer all day. Trailheads for Mt. San Jacinto and the PCT were incredibly close. Loved the quick drive into town for a date night dinner. Overall just wonderful.

The pictures did not do this magical glamping spot justice!! The views were spectacular and the bed in the very cool tent was so comfortable!! We were blown away and are already dreaming of our next visit here.

I planned a this trip for my birthday. My husband hates camping but i love it. This was the PERFECT compromise. Site was comfortable, gorgeous, relaxing....just...perfect. Highly recommend.

Beautiful spot in Idyllwild. Private, clean, well set-up place with a great view. The two jacuzzis are a great plus! One for day time & a hotter one for night time. Stargazing was amazing from there. Recommend 100%

Sweet spot with a great view and very comfy bed in the roomy wooden supported "tent". We cheated a bit and used the space heater the second night and it was very nice. We took the private trail loop, which is short but has some challenging vertical spots and great boulders to climb. We then hiked up to Sawmill Flats starting just across the road and only encountered 4 other hikers on our entire journey (until we intersected the campsites to take the easy way down).
We already booked our second stay coming in late September and look forward to having more time to hike more of the Idyllwild area.

So beautiful! Surprised my boyfriend with a weekend getaway for his birthday. We loved everything. Brian has thought through it all. There was even an awesome fan and seating in the upper deck kitchen area that I loved. We over packed a bit! Less is better for sure at this spot. Loved how there were a few different levels to this glamping spot so we could spread out a bit. Hot tub on the hillside was amazing. Everything was clean and well thought out. We enjoyed the area with some fishing at Lake Fulmor and mountain biking nearby. Only regret was only booking two nights. For your trip I would recommend bringing some beach towels for the hot tub so you have an extra set of towels. But other than that everything is pretty much provided. Just show up with some food, drinks and clothes! We will for sure be back.

This was our first booking with hipcamp and it was better than expected. We happened to stay during a heatwave, but the tent was a perfect retreat in the heat. Items are thoughtfully placed thoughtout the camp. Paper towels, soaps, kitchen supplies, candles etc. We really enjoyed the views while coooking on the upper deck, and the propane fire pit in front of the tent at night.

Magical Idyllwild Glamping exceeded expectations and Brian was extraordinary!! Hands down one of THE BEST hipcamp places I’ve stayed at over the last 3yrs. Very private, the kitchen area was perfect and the hot tub was perfect for star gazing in the evening.

This glamping tent was just as the pictures and everyone else has described. Stunning views, comfortable bed, amazing shower and lots of cozy seating areas.
The one thing I would add, and what I had not seen mentioned in previous reviews is that the property is right on the highway. There is a lot of street noise, which kind of detracts from the whole experience for me. The only other thing to mention is the stairs! Not a huge deterrent, but after a long day of strenuous hiking, they proved to be very challenging!

The site was beautifully designed and thoughtfully appointed. The bed was comfortable, the firepit lovely and we had everything we needed right on site. We also loved hiking the loop trail right on the property. Thank you, Brian, for providing such a great setup!

My partner my dog and I had a wonderful experience at Brian’s. Brian was easy to communicate with and very informative. Aside from being majestic and serene , the entire mountainside oasis gave us an experience with areas to hang out, cook, enjoy the hot tub, the warmth of the fire on the tent deck , warm Refreshing shower in the woods and I can’t forget getting cozy in bed just watching the birds or the sun go down...Ya gotta book this place! Thanks again Brian 👍🏼

Loved my weekend getaway here. Magical slice of nature just 2 hours outside of LA. Brian was an amazing host and super quick with replies to any questions I had. He also offers up some great local tips and suggestions. One note for anyone staying, the trail from the car to the campsite is a small trek, nothing crazy at all and totally doable but just be prepared and keep in mind when packing.

Oh man, what an amazing stay! Brian has created such a lovely site. So charming and well thought out. Everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The views are amazing. The bed was so comfy and cozy with the heating blanket. And the hot shower was really appreciated. Brian was away during our stay, but kept in quick communication with me to make sure we had everything we needed and to answer any questions. We will definitely be coming back to this little slice of heaven! Bring bug spray with you... lots of small annoying mosquitoes!

This place is very unique. It's not very remote - you can hear the traffic from the street - but built on the mountain side, using local material and not store-bought. It has been build with good taste and has all the accessories that someone would need for a comfortable stay. My favorite was the electric blanket and, the view, and the super-unique shower and outhouse.
If you like unique places and post apocalyptic movies, this place is a must for you!!
