Enjoy nature at its best! This is a wood framed 16’ X 12’ canvas safari tent perched on a boulder outcropping overlooking a beautiful valley and surrounded by tree tops.
This ‘tent’ features wood floors, cal king bed, electric blanket and heater, and a private (ie clothing optional) deck with Adirondack chairs and a large propane bbq. It’s a short walk to the full outdoor bathroom with hot and cold running water. Shower in the trees!
You have access to beautiful hikes. The Pacific Crest Trails goes through Idyllwild. Idy, as locals call it, is a quaint mountain village with great galleries, second hand shops, and pretty impressive restaurants. Some of my favorite eating spots are Cafe Aroma, the Idyllwild Brew Pub, Ferro’s, Idyology, and Fratello’s. There are others, all close enough to take a look. Lots of live music. Wine tasting. You will be about an hour from Joshua Tree and 45 minutes from Palm Springs..It’s fall! The nights can get chilly so bring something warm to hang out in at night. The tent itself does have a heater and electric blanket. And there is a hot tub. The water will be turned off in mid November for the winter so I’m not expecting a lot of bookings after that. But if you’re into the winter camping, we can discuss. No running water means no shower or sink but the composing toilet is still operational. It may be a snowy winter.

The vibe at Magical Idyllwild Glamping
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Honestly, there were no complaints at this magical campsite. There was so much land to run around and explore. Plus, the property is close to downtown in case you wanted to go out and grab some food or a drink.
I was a little worried about the weather but Brian made sure that we had enough warmth. There was everything from multiple kinds of heaters, candles, to and even a heated blanket!
It was kind of hard to see once the sun went down, and there is no fire pit to hang around so remember to bring a headlamp because the land is spread out and there are a lot of stairs.
Overall, the glamping adventure was one for the books and Brian definitely knows how to host!
Brian did an amazing job setting up this site! He went above and beyond making us feel welcome and accommodated our group perfectly. Everything was perfect for a girl's trip we took in May. The blankets were heated and there was an extra heater in the tent so we stayed warm during the colder evenings. We hiked during the day and found some great restaurants to eat at in town (10 min drive). The views from our site were breath-taking and we really enjoyed hanging out on the porch watching the sunset at night. I would highly recommend coming here for a weekend and we plan on coming back in the future!
This "glampsite" went beyond our expectations. Everything was as described, but even better once we actually got there and saw the amazing views. The site was clean and ready for use. However, there was a lot of animal hair inside the tent on the rugs (most likely dog hair or maybe cat hair) so if you are allergic, be aware. The host was there to greet us when we arrived and gave us the run through of the facilities and the equipment available to use. There are lots of hiking trails nearby and even a small town where you can hit up the brewery and local eateries/stores. Would I recommend this campsite to friends? MOST DEFINITELY. We had such a great time.
Wonderful little escape! The owner went above and beyond making a comfortable, adventurous vacation. The pictures and description of this location don’t do it justice. Something you truly have to experience for yourself. It’s the perfect mix of being in the wilderness, yet having the simple amenities like a hot shower and a relaxing bed. Very secluded and highly recommended.
We had a GREAT time at Brian's place. It was very private, as he mentioned, AMAZING views, and perfect for me, my husband, and our dog for the weekend. The tent and land was bigger than expected! There was a deck to cook our meals, and a hot tub to enjoy the sunsets. Loved the electric blanket for the cooler night/mornings. We definitely recommend his place!
We spent three nights celebrating my 40th birthday. The site exceeded our expectations, was fully stocked with everything needed and very comfortable.
The bathroom was amazing! Idyllwild is also such a darling town, we really enjoyed visiting all of the local spots.
Brian is a great host and has created a wonderful space!
This place is purely magical! Incredible views, beautiful deck and spacious tent with all the amenities to keep you warm and comfortable on a chilly night. Brian was the ultimate host, always checking in to make sure we were happy. The hot tub was definitely a nice bonus. Our 6 year old had a blast staying here and exploring the property. If bringing kids though, know that its set on a hillside so a bit slippery and lots of stair climbing. Very close to the charming town. We'll be back!
