We camped here for the 2024 eclipse and had a great time! The staff were very friendly. We were impressed with how clean things were. It was a very busy weekend for them, but they handled it very well. We don’t live particularly close to here and don’t really have much reason to travel back to that area of Texas, but we enjoyed ourselves so much that I can certainly see us returning just for some nice family time away.

Site 11 - Hidden Grove Tent Camping
A group of us traveled from CO to watch the total Solar eclipse. A trip 7 years in the making. When we showed up Chad greeted us, and actually knew the small town we were from in CO. Because we had such a large group, he upgraded us (without us asking) to a bigger spot. We ended up in spot 11 and we were so, so pleased with the spot! We had plenty of space, and felt secluded from other campers around us. Which, as mountain people, is always what we desire. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake, all of our kiddos loved the pool, it was nice to be able to take a shower when we wanted to. Overall an amazing experience, and Chad is amazing!

Site 1 - Pull-Through Concrete Pad
The area was beautiful and had a lot of stuff to do! Host was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

The camping spot was private and actually felt like camping. I enjoyed having a fire and seeing the stars. There is very little light pollution. There are walking paths nearby as well as a pond. On the other hand the bathrooms and laundry rooms are close enough that I could enjoy having those amenities. They were very clean. There is also a nice pool. I would definitely stay at Chad's land again if I am in the area.

Site 9 - Hidden Grove Tent Camping
We rented two sites, and this was our second. It was great! The site itself is a bit away from the RV sites so it was nice and quiet. Grass was mowed, it was well maintained, and had shade in the trees. Would recommend and would absolutely stay there again.

We rented two sites, and this one was great. Chad was very accommodating and worked hard to make sure we had a good site. The site itself was clean, maintained, and shady. We had a great time! Would recommend and would absolutely stay there again.

Great privately owned park. Spaces were fairly close to each other with young trees scattered about. Facilities were excellent with most sites with full hookups, cement or gravel pads. Ours was very level. Site 1 is apparently set for hipcamp, once we got

We have a very large family and Hidden Grove was not only extremely accommodating for our large group, but the hospitality was genuine. Chad, Tanner and Ms. Rachel were kind and observant of our needs and even offered several perks to make sure our camping trip was the best experience. And it was. The pool was nice and cool not warm bath water like most places. Bathrooms and showers were clean and very nice. We are tent campers we enjoy seclusion and woods. Our family enjoys everything outdoors and it’s difficult finding a place for our large family and our dogs that accommodates water activities, dirt bikes, four wheelers, fishing AND a shooting range. Hidden Grove provided all of our members interests. We enjoyed the lighted dock overlooking the pond where my daughter’s boyfriend took advantage of the beauty and asked my daughter to be his wife. Surrounded by loved ones and with the help of Chad and Tanner, it was absolutely perfect. Overall the community is kind and respectful and most campers were interesting hospitable folks. We had great conversations with other families. Community was clean and country comfortable. We will definitely be back to Hidden Grove.

This was one of the best camping trips I’ve had! The tent sites where very spacious and secluded. Pool is clean and the small creek is beautiful as well. Definitely coming again.

We (husband, me, 6yo and 3yo) had a relaxing time in our cozy tiny cabin in the Hidden Grove Resort. Our cabin was beautifully designed. The sleeping loft was accessible via a vertical ladder, so we just made sure to climb behind the kids to help them get up the stairs. We bought our own groceries at the nearby Dollar General and cooking was easy on the portable electric stovetop. The site was well-maintained and beautifully designed with many different pockets of lodging - tiny cabins, larger family cabins, sprawling lot of RV sites, and dispersed camping spots among the trees. Lots of amenities available that would be great during warmer weather, like kayaks and canoes, fishing and archery. Our kids made good use of the playground. Stars abounded in the quiet night sky. Definitely recommend a stay here in rural country Texas for a reset.

Back-In Concrete RV Site - Large
Beautiful site. Onsite lake for fishing (without licenses), onsite pool, onsite playground, and even walking trails. We went to Bonham State Park and honestly should have just stayed onsite the entire time.
Chad is incredible, best host you can possibly have. Incredibly kind, generous, and sincerely wants you to have a great time. He is good people.
Stay here. Don't hesitate. You'll want to go back.

FYI- I used the link in my app to connect to my google maps directly and it took me 2 hours away from the campsite. So please just type in the address or name of the campsite into your gps.
Also, what the listing fails to tell you is that you are in a RV parking lot. I was looking for something more secluded. The listing makes it look like you can have your own group of cabins but doesn't show you that there are RV’s parked right behind you. Also the groundskeeper spent hours during the day moving the lawn, blowing leaves, watering... which is a great service but I was there alone and he kept coming right up to the cabin with no consideration for my privacy. I woke up at 7am to this guy standing outside the window I was sleeping next to and he was watering the lawn again. Then when I went outside to have my morning coffee in the fantastic weather and could not because he also watered all of the furniture :(
I think this is a great place to stop for a night along a road trip, or for a big group who wants cabins right next to each other. I also do think they work hard to keep the place really nice. But if you are looking to be alone then this is not the place for you...
