Located in Victoria Virginia, the farm is an hour to Richmond, 45 minutes to Farmville, and 45 minutes from John Kerr reservoir (on the boarder of NC). We are pet friendly, and the property is completely fenced. Enjoy free unlicensed fishing on property in our small pond, stocked with catfish and bluegills, or let the pups swim away the summer heat. Enjoy a walk on the nearby Tobacco Trail, fish at one of the many nearby rivers and lakes. Roast marshmallows over a fire and stargaze or catch fireflies all night.
All sites have access to a portable compost toilet, and we can provide water for the sun showers. We have tent sites, and an RV site, 420friendly but we do not partake.
PLEASE NOTE: No Check In After 9PM! The camp sites are only available with direction of host ( new closer parking area and camp area access gate for 2025!!)

The Farm was originally named 2nd 4o by my parents. They planned to live the 2nd forty years of their lives together on the farm. My parents both grew up on the southside of Chicago - where having a tree in your yard meant that you had "made it". They decided to use the land to grow Christmas trees. This did not last long :) but the saplings my dad planted by hand are still here & maybe 70' tall!
Then my husband & I bought The Farm in 2017 for the 2nd forty years of our life & my parents built their little house right here. My husband and I immediately knew that our dream was to grow a different kind of "tree", so in 2019 we were among the first group to receive our license to grow hemp. We are passionate about both the hemp and cannabis plants!
In 2020 when it finally became legal to grow cannabis, we immediately added that to our garden as well and 2nd 40 to 420 was born, or shall I say planted. We currently rent out our 2 RV's 3 Yurts & primitive sites , we also offer group bookings & Canna-friendly B&B options. We plan to add septic & electric hook-ups for RV's in the near future.

Great spot for us to stay and refresh! We only stayed one night but we were able to use the full hookups to take showers, etc. after being on the road a good while. Peaceful, private spot in a field. Kerwin guided us in and was very friendly and accommodating. Wish we could have stayed longer, definitely recommend.

My husband and I planned a nice quiet weekend and happened to be apart of a great event supporting Veterans. We have already decided to come again next year but will also go when we can enjoy the beauty of the farm and trails. Was able to quickly walk through trails but have great quiet spaces to listen to nature and ground yourself. Thank you Amy for being a great host even with the chaos.

The site was beautiful, with lots of quiet open space. There are railroad tracks close by but we only heard a train twice all weekend. There was also a golden retriever that adopted himself into our camp but he was sweet (as long as you keep your trash out of reach lol) and got along with our puppy great. Stephanie was awesome and attentive as well, answered any questions I had quickly and clearly. It's a great little spot!

The most chill of experiences. Amy fosters an incredibly friendly community of campers and emphasizes group events. Campsite selection is very open, and she's happy to help you find a site that suits your needs. Lots of daily options if you want entertainment or more community, food options if you didn't bring any (or they didn't work out), you can keep to yourself or mingle as you please. Just a very mellow time, pressures of the outside world entirely absent.

The Farm is the most magical place I have ever visited. As soon as we stepped out of the car and were greeted by Amy, all of our cares and worries disappeared. I honestly cannot say enough about this place. I highly recommend it to everyone. We Came for 1 day and are not sure when we are leaving.

Tent camping there was a breeze. There were plenty of flat spots to set up either in the clearing or the woods, under the sun or a shady spot. The water way trail was very peaceful with a bench swing to enjoy the creek from. The communal yurt was also a nice touch. The "She Shed" was a cute hangout space full of unique work for sale by local artists. In addition to camping there were also daily itineraries that included optional add-ons like breakfast, guided mushroom walk, live music, crafts, and more. The dogs were sweethearts and the owners were very kind and generous, even going out of their way to try and help us in our goals of finding land to homestead on. Overall, even for those of us that don't partake, it was still an interesting experience and opportunity to meet new people. The only thing that would make it better would be upgrading from the portable toilets to a shower/bathroom building, but it's already great as is.

Amy and Phil are quite the fun and lively hosts at this beautifully groomed and well serviced farm.
We were so pleased to find so many creative flower experiences to be had on the land - you have to go and see for yourself! A well kept secret only 1.5 hr from Richmond.

I had a fantastic time at Reckless Raven! I really enjoyed meeting the sheep, goats, and horses. Doug and Lacie were very generous hosts and I felt right at home there. The campsite itself was beautiful, next to fields and trees with just enough space from the other campsites. I'd absolutely stay here again next time I'm passing through Virginia.

I only ended up staying a day at this amazing farm but it was so great! Amy and her husband are absolutely an amazing hosts. They give you a guided experience when you arrive. And they have just about anything you need for your stay. Amy's breakfast is so amazing! Such a beautiful farm and area.
