We are about 30 minutes away from Joe Pool Lake, Six Flags, the Texas Rangers Ballpark, and Scarborough Renaissance Festival. Our land is private land that has been in the family for many decades. We have a variety of events that happen here, including two festivals, one in September and one in November, November, so you will notice there are stages and even a saloon here on site. Walking through the park and the square is just magical at Christmastime. Easy Like a Sunday Morning is nestled just outside the city limits of Granbury, Texas (approximately 3 miles from Granbury Historic square) @ a private residence just outside the city limits. New laundry facility down the road, dump station @ Thorp Springs RV park (20 dollars), Davids Grocery store and Dollar General, all only .03 miles away. This is not really a vacation destination but more a safe place to stay coming to town to explore all Granbury has to offer or a place to catch your breathe while traveling on the road. Friends have enjoyed escaping here for years. I decided to share the zen. It's a bit rough around the edges but if the new venture succeeds it will only get better each time you visit. Patio with a view of Lake Granbury and surrounding valley of at least 3 counties. Communal: Bonfire area when there isn't a burn ban (bring your chair). Also small fire pit on patio. Really nice camping spots that's not too far from Fort Worth! We had such an amazing time the spot was perfect for stargazing and relaxing. There's not really any Internet service it was very spotty, but that's what makes it even better. It's nice to disconnect and enjoy the outdoors. The river is right at the camp spot easy access for kayak and paddle boards. Our dogs also loved this spot!

The boondocking sites are spaced far apart. There is a gate and Eddie keeps an eye on the property, so it feels very safe. It's only minutes to get to Mansfields downtown area. Rod was responsive with communication. I'm planning to stay here again. FYI - they have sites with electricity and really good shade. I just chose to boondock.

The camp grounds are very nice and fairly well thought out. A little difficult to know where to go but once you figure out the layout it's a little easier. I love that it was just a short walk from most of the campsites to the restrooms. A little more info about what to expect and also where the showers were located would help. Showers were fair except the wooden backsplash was kinda gross. Oh well. I'm just glad there were showers with hot water etc. Would def recommend and will def return

We were very close to the showers and the toilet. There was a large trashcan right at the campsite. Even though the hipcampers were relatively close to one another in proximity, the cedar grove of trees provided a lot of privacy, it was very peaceful and quiet the Sat night we stayed.

Sherwood was a very accommodating and communicative host. The grounds were very clean and just as described. The water park was inactive due to the off season, and staying here made us want to come back when the park is fully operational. Great location only about 16 min to the Stockyards. Would definitely stay again!

Weekend Trip to Wild 2 Wonderful Ranch

Wonderful, quiet place to stay. Hosts were great, Eddie is friendly and respectful. Made sure I had firewood and gate access. Very clean out toilet close by. Quick communication, Rod is very responsive. First time solo camping and as a woman alone, I felt safe! Once I went to bed I never heard anyone. Just quiet and peaceful. My site was slightly off the road; serene area with fire pit. Electric outlet. Some sites have 30 amps or 15 amps for hookups.

Hog Wallow Campground

We enjoyed this site. It sits a bit above the lake so has great views and feels quite relaxing. The showers and facilities are nice, and some very good hiking trails on the south end of the park!

Shady Ridge Campground

If you are looking for a great weekend getaway but don't have a lot of time to getaway, this is your place. Cedar Hill is right in the middle of DFW but you are far enough out of the city to get some nature time. The historical farm has activities and programs for kids, and the hiking is not bad. My family loves this park for a quick getaway!

Site 58 backs up to the lake and is a good size and has more privacy than many of the sites at this park.
