Outside, you’ll find several private areas to relax and enjoy the landscape, including a propane fire pit, hammock, outdoor seating and dining areas.
The outdoor bar/kitchen includes a four-burner propane grill with side burner, sink, bar counter and dining space.
A separate private restroom and shower cabin includes a flush portable toilet, sink and hot shower. Towels and soap are provided.
During the warmer months, guests can enjoy our 8-ft stock-tank pool, open seasonally from May through October.
Guests have private access to the entire 2.5-acre property, including the geodesic dome, seasonal pool, outdoor kitchen and BBQ, fire pit, outdoor dining and lounge areas, private restroom and hot shower, and surrounding desert grounds and rock formations.
The entire property is reserved exclusively for you during your stay, THERE ARE NO SHARED SPACES.
The Hilltop Getaway is an off-grid desert experience rather than a conventional hotel stay. Electricity is supplied by our solar/battery system.
Utility water is provided for washing and showering but is not intended for drinking, so please bring bottled drinking water.

This was originally a Girl Scout camp called Singing Pines back in the 30’s. You’ll see as you roam around some of the original buildings and structures. It hasn’t been in operation as a Girl Scout camp for over 30 years. The bigger building is an Airbnb for groups. They will also have access to the lake.
DIRECTIONS:
Take Exit for Angeles Crest Hwy (Hwy 2) from the 210
Go North, up the mountain for 29 miles
Turn left on Sulpher Springs Rd
Go about a mile and you will see a Singing Pines sign up on a hill on the right side.
There is a white gate which is usually open but if it's closed go ahead and open it.
Go down that driveway about a mile and turn left at the fork.
Follow that road down and around the lake staying to the right. Once you passed the lake there will be a little uphill and the location is on the left.

The Skoolie is a converted short bus with two love seats that convert to an RV queen bed, sink, stove top, dinette, and over head lights. Outside is a private meadow with a short walk to a small lake. You can bring your fishing gear. It's stocked with Bass and Bluegill. Outside the Skoolie is a picnic table, fire pit (firewood $10 a bundle) and a hammock. Up the hill, a very short walk is the private campground toilet facility. This is not shared with anyone else.
No cell phone reception no linens bring a sleeping bag or warm blankets. You can charge your phone in the Skoolie for a sunrise alarm or just to take pictures.

1 night at Harmony Heaven Campyard
Tam’s campground is a true unexpected gem! It’s close to all the dining and shopping you would need, but also very close to some incredible hikes near Mt Baldy! The views from the backyard are incredible, and it feels very private. The fruit trees and animals added to the peaceful atmosphere, you don’t feel like you’re in the suburbs at all!
The campground itself is very well equipped and cozy, and Tam is a great host who went above and beyond to make us comfortable. There is not much else like this in the area, and this was truly one of the best values I’ve ever gotten in this app. Highly recommend!

Really beautiful spot to unwind and watch the sunset. Host provided everything needed for off-grid living along with clear instructions. The site is clean and well taken care of. Outdoor shower is a nice perk. Would be a great spot for a group or a couple to unwind. Fire pit was cool at night. My daughter adds “The biggest bugs I’ve ever seen!” We had some special circumstances and the host was super accommodating.

2 nights at Harmony Heaven Campyard
Such a magical little place. I felt really grateful to be able to stay here. The property is beautiful, and I loved having the birds and the goat around. It had everything I needed, and I stayed in the trailer, which was cozy with a really comfortable bed.
Tam was such a lovely host, incredibly warm and helpful. She took the time to tell me about the property and all of her fruit trees. I took a quick dip in the pool and it was the perfect temperature. I really loved my stay and hope to stay again soon.

3 nights at SB Mountain Cabin Rentals
This is a nicely decorated cabin that is cozy, yet spacious. It has two large upstairs bedrooms, though one is more of a loft in that it doesn’t have a door to close. Downstairs has the bathroom and basic kitchen and living area, along with a front and rear deck. It’s definitely not flashy or state of the art, but has more of a relaxing analog chill vibe. I really enjoyed staying here!

This is a great little cabin, rustic but very comfortable, with a great AC when needed. All the amenities. I slept like a rock. Very charming spot and location. Araceli was a wonderful host. Highly recommend.

If quiet, peace and relaxation is what you are looking for, you will find it here at the elevation of 5500 feet in beautiful Tehachapi mountains.
I can’t say enough how much we enjoy staying in the Studio cabin. This is a good place for stargazing in the fresh mountain air.

This was a really lovely stay. Tam was a fantastic host, super accommodating and helpful! The space was very clean and the tent was very cozy. I got to take a dip in the pool, spend some time with the koi fish, and relax in the backyard. Would absolutely come back!

Group trip
This was a very neat and unique experience. Jesse, was a wonderful help. He was in charge of the ATV tours, but was sure to ask us if we needed anything, including store runs. He made our stay as comfortable as possible. The setting isn’t for everyone, it’s obviously in the desert so there’s animals owned by neighbors (you might hear dogs, or roosters), and of course the wild life, we ran into a scorpion or two lol. The two dogs on the land, own by Jesse are two very sweet girls, and mind their own.
It’s a very “dry camp” experience, with an out house. Kyle mentioned that showers are for long term guest only so be prepared for that, depending on your comfort levels. Their camp is still developing, but their great people, and the vision is beautiful.
We ended up doing the atv tour, and Jesse showed us some very uniquely stunning landscapes and views. It was a great mixture of fun, thrill, and romance. He made such an impression that we fed him before we said our goodnight.
If you’re a local, please support them. They have some great things in store, and please be kind. leave their land better than you found it.

1 night at Harmony Heaven Campyard
The area is well built and a lot of attention put into details. Tam was very kind to accommodate me with skillets, plates and utensils so I could cook a meal. I saw their animals in the morning 🐐🦃🐔🪿 and it was very nice, couldn't figure out who was the loudest 😁. There were everything I was looking for and in a great condition. They even have a laundry service for additional fee and backyard pool I believe is available too. I would stay there again!

Weekend Trip to Harmony Heaven Campyard
I stayed here with my daughter as we traveled from Idaho to Cali for Warped Tour in Long Beach. The set up was absolutely stunning. We stayed in both the camper and the tent. There was an outhouse for a restroom and shower. The host was absolutely amazing and accommodating. This was my first time using HIPCAMP and she set the bar high!

John has crafted a truly beautiful little wood cabin with incredible mountain views and peaceful seclusion. We enjoyed hillside strolls with the dogs, stunning starry nights, and the electric fire pit was a welcome addition to the ambience in a place where outdoor wood fire pits are often prohibited.

This was a sweet stop on my road trip from LA to Yosemite. Araceli greeted me even though I got in after dark, and gave me a thorough tour. I loved showering outdoors under the stars, the beautiful view in the morning, and the fact that the cabin had AC!! Truly one of the best glamping experiences.

John’s property “unique mountain retreat” is just that! Beautiful views, and hiking trails, We stay in the studio cabin and it is very comfortable.
John is an awesome host and very accommodating, He takes pride in his camp and makes sure everything is clean and that we have what we need. There is an Albertsons grocery in town, about a 15 minute drive. John is respectful of his guests privacy and available if needed.
This trip we saw deer, Jack rabbits, ground squirrels and a momma quail and her babies following her across the road. We love our peaceful quiet respite here!

What a magical little place, and SO close to LA. I had a great weekend getaway with my 8 year old golden retriever. The bus was very charming, we were given water, and Brian even graciously left ice. We had firewood on site which helped not having to try to cram another thing in the car. The location is such a fun historic snapshot of an old summer camp, I did some exploring but wish I had the time to do even more.
I'd absolutely come back! One thing I'd do a little different, depending on the season I'm sure, is there's quite a bit of gnats swarming around. I'll come back with my canopy and have some nets around it to build a little safe zone around the picnic table.
I brought an electric off road bike with me, and I definitely recommend bringing some kind of bike to take the dirt roads for exploring! So much fun.

First come first serve basis but you won't have any issues with that. not alot of people know about this campsite.

the camping ground has a wooden canopy that protects you from the sun and the wind, however when we went the wind was about 40mph and canopy didn't help at all. Pretty windy indeed. This park has water and the main entrance campground does not allow campfires but if you head down the trail you'll see more camping spots that allows you to campfire.
