'Back to the Bush' powered campsites are nestled in 320 acres of peaceful native country side at Woocoo. Enjoy the wonders of nature but with a little extra comfort. The property known locally as "Kings-Lynn" is situated 300km northwest of Brisbane, Queensland. It was originally a soldier's land grant, and in the early days they ran dairy cattle with other properties in the area. In more recent years, it took the name of “Kings-lynn”, and for a time operated as a small crop and beef cattle enterprise, with some 20 acres under small crops. But nature has taken it back and today it grows native timbers which regenerate quickly, and operates as a Bush Camp, B & B, Country stay, and Wedding Venue. If you feel like going back to a time and place where life was simple and tranquil and carefree our place is the place to be. Whether you are looking for a secluded retreat or a bushwacking good time, the property offers the magic of a bush backdrop with clear starry nights. The property features numerous billabongs and water courses. Activities include bush walking, bush crafts, bird watching, hiking, and campfires with marshmallow roasting, trying out our damper recipe or traditional camp oven cooking. While the homestead caters for a more laid back lifestyle, with books, videos, board games, jigsaws and some fine cooking. Perhaps you would prefer to help with the chickens or the animals, or maybe feed the birds. In the greater area, you are part of the Fraser Coast and only a stones throw from the Biggenden and the Burnett Region, with many things to do and see.
