Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Coolamondah is 111 acre property at Aramara which features a mix of Spotted Gum-timbered hilly pasture, 120 mango/fruit tree orchard and thicker native timber forest. Visitors will have access to the whole property including; large dams that you can canoe or swim in (or perhaps try your luck fishing for the stocked Silver Perch); hiking tracks through native forest, gullies and timbered rocky ridges. There is an opportunity to pick your own mangoes or other fruits when in season and help with the daily feed of our friendly cattle, sheep and free range chooks. Helping collecting the eggs is a favourite activity for our own grand-kids! Coolamondah has a number of secluded campsites in the native forest area for fully self contained RV's (size permitting for one site) and fully self-contained camper trailers. The sites available in the Orchard, Dam Paddock, Crows Nest Camp (which have more open areas), will also accommodate fully self-contained caravans. This property is best suited for those looking for the peace, quiet and the tranquility of a bush getaway, rather than a high energy, hectic experience. If a relaxing stay in natural bush surroundings is what you need then our property will your cup of tea. Guests will encounter a diverse range of wildlife and flora, from birds of all kinds, kangaroos/wallabies, native timber forest, tall timber pastures with large dams and our mango/fruit tree orchard. This is working hobby farm with friendly sheep, cattle and chooks which can be watched/patted at feeding time. Even our kelpie Jax loves to make new friends :) Coolamondah is a working farm and we have farm animals in various paddocks and free range chickens that have full access to all our property, therefore if you think your pet may chase these animals, we kindly ask that your pet be kept on leash when in open areas at all times, thank you. Your Hosts, Donna and David would greatly appreciate between 1 to 2 hours notice of arrival if at all possible to ensure that the front electronic gate is latched open and your site is ready for your visit. On arrival please drive up to the right hand side of the house at the top of the road to be greeted by your Hosts, Donna and David.

Dam Paddock Camp Site

Dam Paddock Camp Site is situated in an open paddock setting next to our large dam. It available for fully self contained caravans, RV's and fully self-contained camper trailers (i.e. ALL toilet and rubbish waste must be contained and taken with you on departure). There's plenty of cleared space for car, trailer and camp setup. NO sleeping tents are allowed. It is a 2 min drive or 10min leisurely walk to the start of our established bush walking tracks. Usually only one bar of 4G signal in this area and a varying strength Wi-Fi signal can be connected to. There is a small portable camp fireplace drum available from the Host to use (weather and fire restrictions permitting). There is no water, electricity, sewerage hookup, bathroom amenities, or rubbish bins here. Guests will need to be fully self contained including portable-style toilet, and take all waste with them and leave no trace. This Dam Paddock is best used during fine weather as soil can become softer during and after heavy rain. There will be other alternate sites if this was to occur. Your Hosts, Donna and David would greatly appreciate between 1 to 2 hours notice of arrival if at all possible to ensure that the front electronic gate is latched open and your site is ready for your visit. On arrival please drive up to the right hand side of the house at the top of the road to be greeted by your Hosts, Donna and David.

Ironbark Ridge Site is situated in a bush forest setting on the highest ridge on our property. It is suited for self-contained smaller RV's and self-contained camper trailers (i.e. ALL toilet and rubbish waste must be contained and taken with you on departure). There's limited but enough cleared space for smaller RV's or car/ camper-trailer. NO sleeping tents are allowed. Quick access to short bush walking tracks. Usually only one bar of 4G signal in this area. There is a small camp fireplace available to use (weather and fire restrictions permitting). There is no water, electricity, sewerage hookup, bathroom amenities, or rubbish bins here. Guests will need to be fully self contained including portable-style toilet, and take all waste with them and leave no trace. Fruit Orchard site is located in our lovely fruit orchard. It is suitable for fully self-contained caravans, RV's and fully self-contained camper trailers (i.e. ALL toilet and rubbish waste must be contained and taken with you on departure). There's plenty of cleared space for vehicle, trailer and camp setup. NO sleeping tents are allowed. It is a 4 min drive or 15min leisurely bush walk to the start of our established bush walking tracks. Usually only one bar of 4G signal in this area and generally a good strength StarLink Wi-Fi signal can be connected to (access code obtained from the host on arrival). There is a small portable camp fireplace drum available from the Host to use (weather and fire restrictions permitting). There is no water, electricity, sewerage hookup, bathroom amenities, or rubbish bins here. Guests will need to be fully self contained including portable-style toilet, and take all waste with them and leave no trace. Crows Nest Camp Site
Had a great site looking over the dam. Donna and David are great hosts. We only had time to stay one night but enjoyed the piece and quiet. Will definitely be back

Dam Paddock Camp Site
We had such a wonderful stay here! The campsite was beautifully maintained – mowed, flat, and right by the dam, which made for a perfect spot to set up. We even caught a couple of silver perch while relaxing by the water. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, even taking us on a fun tour of the farm in the 4x4 buggy, which was a real highlight. The whole property is stunning, with peaceful views across the farm, and Mt Walsh National Park is only about 30 minutes up the road for anyone keen to explore. We’ll definitely be back again soon and can’t recommend this spot highly enough!
