Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping.
There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek.
There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area.
Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite.
Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

PLEASE NOTE, our rate is based on the number of vehicles in your group. The first vehicle is included in the nightly rate and admits 4 campers. WE CHARGE FOR ADDITIONAL CARS. The charge will be added to your booking once you select the number of vehicles at checkout.
Please note that each additional car admits four campers. For EXAMPLE, 2 cars = 8 campers total. If you only have two cars but more than eight people, YOU MUST select the "Extra Person" Extra for each night they are camping. Please select these extras at checkout. Our 95-acre farm was once owned by the Davis family who predominantly raised dairy cattle. We now raise the wooly Mangalitsa pig and sell to the best chefs and restaurants. We sell our pork at the farm too!
All of our campsites are next to running water except the two hilltop sites.
Two porta-potties are on the farm and private porta-potties are available for rent. Groups of eight or more are required to rent a porta potty should you not bring your own toilet system with you. We do not allow the use of our small wooded areas as toilets. No porta potties are provided b/tw Dec 15 and March 15

We are 1 mile off of I 40, 17 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 15 min. to Maggie Valley, 10 min to the Elk at Cataloochee, 25 min to Cataloochee ski area, 10 min to Lake Junaluska and 15 min to downtown Waynesville. Asheville is 20 miles to our East.

Pull down a paved road and get out of your car and sit down at a picnic table in front of a private waterfall!
This site has a pull through, full hookup spot with 30amp for campers but tents are always welcome or a combination of the two. I've had a 33' camper, popup camper and 6 tents at this campsite all at the same time so there plenty of room for your family and friends!
We're 2.5 miles from the Cherokee Casino and 3.5 miles from down town Cherokee
If you're tired of crowded campgrounds then you'll love the privacy this campground offers. This is now a two site campground with each site being around 100' away from the other site with trees and vegetation growing in between, you more or less cant see on site from the other from May until November.
There is a orange cone that marks the border of the two sites. One set of campers will not be allowed on the other campers campsite, if this happens you will be evicted with no refund.
Check in is at 2pm and check out is at 12pm.
No shooting firearms, (although you may hear people shooting firearms because you will be camping in the mountains) but your more than welcome to bring your firearms. Its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
No fireworks.
No making trails or collecting firewood (This is not because I want to sell you firewood, its because I want to have the property remain as pristine as possible)
Do not cut down trees alive or dead
If you move picnic tables please move them back
Dogs are permitted but message me first to see if your do will be a good fit.
There is a small Church around 200 yards from the campground. They hold services every Wednesday and Sunday. They generally start around 5pm and it lasts around a hour. If your into that they would love to have you come down.
The EBCI opened a dispensary around 3 miles from the campground. It will open to all adults over 21 starting September 7th 2024.

3Feather Sanctuary is surrounded by beautiful, stately trees and has a creek meandering through it. The closest town is Hot Springs, which is 20 minutes away and the Hot Springs are a definite must-see if that peaks your interest! The town itself is also pretty cool. There are some good shops, restaurants & our favorite hardware store!! Downtown Marshall is also close, about 25 minutes and has a lot to offer! Gr8 restaurants, thrifting and cute shops along the river.
Our property is about an hour away from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the adorable city of Asheville - which makes for a fantastic day trip with delicious restaurants, breweries, cool shops, and more! The Great Smokey Mountains and Deep Creek are about 1.5 hours away from the campsite. The Appalachian Trail is closeby and there are countless opportunities for stunning hikes. There's also kayaking, tubing, white water rafting opportunities as well as zip lining and horseback riding. There is something for everyone to enjoy and we can't wait to share it with you!
Full disclosure:
We have a camera pointed at the entrance and one at the bath house door, which we can move around to make sure that when people check in they make it to the right spot since I manage remotely part of the year. We have regular yard maintenance, however, we are Country natural landscape, not parking lot type campground, so the grass is slightly higher in some small areas but truly those things are part of a sustainable and uniquely beautiful camping experience!

Our Trailhead is located 45 minutes west of Asheville, NC and our hike-in trail is 2 miles long with 1,250 feet of elevation gain. The hike-in trail utilizes an old forest service road which follows a creek providing verdant landscapes and soothing sounds as you make your way up the mountain to our cabins and campsites.
We have two antique Appalachian cabins on-site and two campsites available. Our cabins and campsites are priced per person and can be reserved individually or collectively through an entire property buyout. A hearty and healthy breakfast is served each morning in our Main Lodge and is included and you'll never pay a cleaning fee on this mountain because we believe in Southern hospitality!
Our Main Lodge (Cabin #1) has a huge front porch with spectacular views, a nicely appointed off-grid kitchen, full bathroom with hot shower and an upstairs loft that sleeps up to 10. Our on-site host/s stay downstairs in the Main Lodge in private bedrooms so they can keep the home fires burning, tend the garden, cook breakfasts, clean the cabins and ensure all your needs are taken care of during your stay.
Guests in our Upper Cabin (Cabin #2) enjoy a wooded and secluded setting in a rustic cabin that sleeps up to 6. The downstairs area features an open floorpan with a queen size bed, off-grid kitchen, dining area and the loft upstairs sleeps up to 4 people. Our cabin adjacent camp space features two spectacular campsites and is located 100’ from our Main Lodge. Both campsites sit beside our neighboring property owned by the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy and feature a long-range mountain views. Located just 25 minutes from downtown Asheville, this property sits in a rural, fertile valley, offering breathtaking views to the north and south. Encompassing a total of 23 acres, 5 of which are nearly flat and ideal for parking/camping, while the remainder provides excellent hiking opportunities. A charming bubbling creek, a storage barn suitable for construction or running a business, and the promise of future hydro-power with solar and a battery bank by the creek add to the property's appeal.
For those parking near the main house, a 120v extension cord is available for power and internet access. Alternatively, if you prefer to park by the creek, please note that there is currently no power, internet, or water available in that area, though plans are underway for hydro-power with solar and a battery bank. IMPORTANT NOTE: heavy rains can make it tricky to get in and out without AWD so message me after a heavy downpour.
Composting outhouse is available now!. Rainwater and well water are available but we prefer you bring your own.

Raven ridge is a 5.0 acre property with plenty of botanical appeal, Appalachian charm and mountain views. James landed on the property in 2009, built a small dairy barn and milked 3 cows for a couple years before building the two cabins. In 2015 he was joined by Sofi, originally from Sweden and together they have three daughters.
Together they manage a botanically interesting hill farm and are happy to host travelers and seekers in their cabins. Hilltop was a joint project that James built in 2012 with a talented woodworker and friend in 6 months. We have maintained the original vibe of the place, rustic simplicity and elegance a notch or two above glamping, well-described by the zen koan, "chop wood, carry water"
Orchard House was built entirely by James from the cement blocks to the roof. It’s very creative and cozy, besides spacious for a tiny home. People describe it as “dreamy”, also “perfect”.
Some of the Hilltop photos are a bit dated, we have a more private outhouse behind the cabin, and have made a few improvements here and there. Reach out anytime for any reason. We love hosting and nearly everyone enjoys their stay.

We are a campground with tent sites and cabins. 40 acres to explore, the grounds are heavily forested, with walking trails and nature, nature, nature. Each site is secluded, We are located in the Cherokee National Forest at the foot of the Smokey Mountains. Just outside the towns of Hartford and Cosby. Hartford has River Rafting, Zip Lines, Kayaking on the Pigeon River. You will be able to get away from it all. but less than 45 minutes from favorite tourist attractions like Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Sevierville. *We recommend checking in before 10 pm…. The property gets really dark and hard to navigate at night without being shown where to go! If for any reason you will be getting here later please inform us upon booking so we can plan for your arrival!
*During the months from November to April we cannot guarantee our shower will be operational due to freezing temperatures. However, during warm periods during those months we do have our shower available.

We car camped on the hilltop mountain spot. There was a great view and plenty of space in between us and other campers. The bathrooms were nice, and the grounds were very well kept. The directions to the spot were very clear.

Outstanding experience! Site is easily accessible and well-maintained, and we were welcomed by our host upon arriving. This is the ideal balance between the camping experience and a touch of modern amenities. And it’s centrally located so getting to Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Gatlinburg, and whitewater rafting doesn’t take long at all for day trips. Overall, I was very impressed and I have no doubt we will return at some point. Muchas gracias!

We had such a wonderful stay at Honeysuckle Campground. The entire property was extremely clean, comfortable, and welcoming. We especially loved how convenient everything was, the campground had cooking supplies, cleaning supplies, and thoughtful amenities that made camping so much easier and more enjoyable.
The scenery was stunning, with gorgeous mountain views and a relaxing atmosphere that made it hard to leave. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience feel even more special and personal. Everything about our stay felt peaceful, cozy, and well cared for. We truly loved our time here and would happily recommend Honeysuckle Campground to anyone visiting the area.

This is a great RV camp with a plethora of other accommodation options. We loved our two nights there but it would be a great location for a reunion! Those with RVs could camp but there are ‘Tree House’ cabins, retro campers, glamping tents and more!
The pads are all concrete and level. Everything is well maintained. The showers are AMAZING! The facilities are clean and have a nice vibe. We even got to play a game of ping pong outdoors. We didn’t try the pool but it too was very clean and would be a great addition for many. Yes, there is some road noise but we were in a teardrop with the windows screened and the vent on. We were not bothered a bit. Couldn’t recommend higher!
Also, there is a trolley to Gatlinburg if that is your thing. Parking there is crazy expensive so this is an added perk at Camp LeConte Luxury Outdoor Resort among many, many perks!

We had a wonderful family camping trip here and truly enjoyed every moment. The campground was peaceful, well-maintained and perfect for a relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was river tubing in the creek behind our campsite. Our kids absolutely loved it!
The host was incredibly kind and flexible, graciously accommodating our request to shift our reservation by a day due to some travel logistics. That level of understanding and hospitality made the experience even better.
Everything on the property was clean, organized and working exactly as expected. We would absolutely recommend this campground to anyone looking for a quiet, family-friendly escape in nature.

The cabin was a great location for anyone wanting to stay away from busy Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. With small children we love to tent camp, but traveling a long ways doesn’t always work for a tent- the cabin was perfect for us! We loved the cozy space and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful! We loved exploring the campground and enjoying the views.

I was happy to find Patricia’s Hipcamp so close to my cousin’s place. It is definitely convenient to just about anything you might need! I enjoyed watching the horses across the creek… one of them was actually splashing around in the water next to my site when I arrived. It is a very pretty spot, and everything was as described. The directions were clear, and the site was easy to find. I was, however, glad I brought bug spray because there were a lot of mosquitoes.

Richard was a wonderful host! I would definitely recommend staying at his camp sites. You can tell he worked hard to make it as private as possible. He even met up with us at the campsite and gave us a tour and showed us how the shower worked. He communicated with us before check in and even after leaving from the brief tour. He reached out to tell us if we need anything or recommendations and to adjust the water temperature just let him know, he’s not far. The grill was clean, the creek was wonderful. He recommended fishing spots nearby and activities! Even gave us spots to see elks! The church was not a bother I hardly noticed it not loud at all. The driveway is only used between you and the other campers or you if rent out both campsites to have an even more private stay for you and your family.

We had a great stay at Low Meadow Farms Hipcamp on Site 10. The creek wrapped around two sides of the campsite, and hearing the cool water flowing over the rocks made it incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Since Site 10 is a group site, there was more than enough room for our small hiker camper, a tent, and still plenty of extra space for additional campers if needed.
The campground was super quiet, and all the other campers we met were very friendly. We also appreciated the little touches like the solar shower, pavilion with picnic tables and a grill, and the beautiful prairie area to walk through and enjoy nature. There’s a water spigot available, but no electrical hookups — which was perfect for the kind of simple, unplugged camping experience we enjoy.

We stayed in the right corner of the field with creek access. The field was open but the site felt private. The views are beautiful. The cows and horses make good. Neighbors. Tons of birds chirping; Merlin app recorded 25. Reid was responsive and helpful. WiFi was a nice bonus to plan our ventures. Grateful Roots Market and Deli near the turn off to the site was an amazing store with lots of quality local and homemade items. Not far from Asheville; spent day exploring . Would come again.

Awesome site with great views! Close to small bathroom and shower. Also close to the trail which takes you up a steep climb, but walking the ridge was worth it! Very peaceful and would stay here again. Thanks for a great time!

I cannot say enough good things about this place! Beautiful, serene, and quiet, a perfect family campground. Our kiddo loved being right on the river and going to say hi to the donkeys, horses, goats, and of course the furry pigs! We met Catherine who was so down to earth. We are already planning to visit again this year! Highly recommend!
