BERRY PICKING TIME! Book for this week and collect delicious "wine berries" which are like a cross between blackberries and raspberries. We have 4 tent sites by the creek with fire pits and views and creek access. 1 site in the forest on slope requiring a 20 minute hike. We. can run your gear up via ATV and you make the walk up to your utterly secluded spot. Attention van-lifers, here's your safe haven! Located just 25 minutes from downtown Asheville, this property sits in a rural, fertile valley, offering breathtaking views to the north and south. Encompassing a total of 23 acres, 5 of which are nearly flat and ideal for parking/camping, while the remainder provides excellent hiking opportunities. A charming bubbling creek, a storage barn suitable for construction or running a business, and the promise of future hydro-power with solar and a battery bank by the creek add to the property's appeal. For those parking near the main house, a 120v extension cord is available for power and internet access. Alternatively, if you prefer to park by the creek, please note that there is currently no power, internet, or water available in that area, though plans are underway for hydro-power with solar and a battery bank. IMPORTANT NOTE: heavy rains can make it tricky to get in and out without AWD so message me after a heavy downpour. Composting outhouse is available now!. Rainwater and well water are available but we prefer you bring your own. Feel free to reach out with any questions or suggestions; your input is appreciated!

Even a 2WD car can make it to this spot in the forest. Park up there and make use of the tent, or bring your own. Wake to the sound of Carolina birdsong each morning! Pack your mattress pads and sleeping bags. A rudimentary composting toilet in a pop-up exists for your use. Please pack out your own waste. There is 1 bar of cell service, good enough for calls so that you're not in danger. Please be sure to leave nothing behind so that the next camper can enjoy the spot. If the forecast calls for rain it is best to park at the bottom and hike up the 100 feet to the spot. A second car can be left at the bottom.

Looking for a getaway? Don't need power and water? This campsite is secluded and offers incredible views to the north and south with a fire pit. For a cool swim in a 6' swimming hole, the creek is just 100 feet away. Just pass the red barn, pass the fork in the path, and you'll see it on your left. There’s almost no cell service in the valley and it’s smart to get your directions before you leave town. You’ll be looking for a White House with black shutters on the left side of the road. Need to keep in mind that the ground can be soft if recent heavy rains, which could make getting in and out a challenge, but this is rare. Message me if you have a heavy vehicle. Looking for a site that has power, and a shady pavillion to relax in and grill some food? We have just the spot. We removed the siding from this old pole barn, built a deck under it, added a grill and fridge. You can string 2 or possibly 3 hammocks and really enjoy a day on a farm. Cold and hot water is available from a water purification system right there on the pavillion. Pitch your tents or park your van nearby, with access to 15amp power. There’s almost no cell service in the valley but this site has solid 300mbps internet. It’s smart to get your directions before you leave town. You’ll be looking for a White House with black shutters on the left side of the road. Need to keep in mind that the ground can be soft if recent heavy rains, which could make getting in and out a challenge, but this is rare. Message me if you have concerns and a heavy vehicle. Site 6 is about 300' down from the barn and 200' up from the creek. It has the best views of all sites, looking over grazed hills that are reminiscent of scotland. No septic or water, but an outhouse is available, and creek access. Wifi reaches the spot, though metal van walls will make it harder to access. Wi-Fi signal bad and the bathroom was a homemade outhouse that was almost full when I went in it they could have at least checked the bathroom at least once per day and took the bag out if it was full

We stayed in the right corner of the field with creek access. The field was open but the site felt private. The views are beautiful. The cows and horses make good. Neighbors. Tons of birds chirping; Merlin app recorded 25. Reid was responsive and helpful. WiFi was a nice bonus to plan our ventures. Grateful Roots Market and Deli near the turn off to the site was an amazing store with lots of quality local and homemade items. Not far from Asheville; spent day exploring . Would come again.

Amazingly peaceful and scenic spot! I was in lot 7 down by the creek and enjoyed the sound of the rolling water, grilling over the fire pit, and taking in THE best view of the starry night sky! Reid was great with everything and I look forward to camping there again in my way back through the area! 👍

we were moved from the site we booked which we booked bc we thought it was the prime spot but the views were still beautiful and the outhouse was convenient- the host was very communicative and we would definitely come here again and hopefully get the spot with the watering hole! :-) def prepare for ticks!

There’s something about sleeping next to the sounds of a stream and the mooing of cows. First time using hip camp and looking forward to exploring more. Reid was welcoming, his land peaceful and spacious with great views. Definitely recommended.

Absolutely loved this place! The creek in the back is amazing for a quick dip. My pup had a blast being able to run around and explore. Reid also towed me out of the mud twice 😂 Thank you and sorry I kept getting stuck! 😂

I really enjoyed this spot on Turkey Creek. The land was clean and the views of the mountains were beautiful. The neighbor's were respectful and courteous. This was a great place to camp while doing my work camping job at the Ashville Mall. I will definitely be back.

Had such a good experience!! Reid is an excellent communicator, made sure we had everything we needed and answered all of my questions. The spot is just as described and served its purpose as I was driving through and needed a spot to stop for the night. The space felt secluded but safe. The creek sounds where incredibly peaceful and although there where other people on the property, we did not hear them all night. My dogs loved the opportunity to run around freely and jumping into the creek. 10/10 would recommend.

Reid's place was a great spot to camp the night! Only 30 mins from downtown Asheville. No/very little light pollution, so I could see the starry sky clearly. Level ground good for tent setup. Fire pit was well placed. It was very peaceful falling asleep to the sound of the running water in the nearby creek and waking up to the soft bellows of pasture cows in the distance. I would definitely recommend this place. Thank you!

We had a great time camping here! The camping sites are in a large grassy meadow/field which sits in a valley with beautiful mountain views. A creek runs through the property, and there are lots of farms nearby. The facilities were very minimal for our tent site, only an outhouse which was perfectly fine with us. Everything was as described in the listing. This spot was centrally located to the places we wanted to visit (such as Pisgah NF, Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville, etc.), while still being far enough out to enjoy some peaceful, quiet mornings & evenings. We would definitely recommend this site and would love to come back!

It was super nice! Reid was super nice and made sure he got the bundle of firewood out. There were also other people on the land but they were so far away so it was still secluded. Amazing views as well both at the campsite and around the area.

My Goto spot north of Asheville

I've stayed here twice and would stay here again. It's a beautiful, quiet valley outside of Asheville. There is also a nice, bubbling creek nearby for a relaxing backdrop. I don't require any hookups so this place is perfect. Only note is that the spots down by the creek could be slippery after a lot of rain due to the slope of the topography.

This campsite is truly a gem tucked away in the mountains. The property is beautifully maintained, quiet and peaceful. Perfect for a relaxing getaway. Reid was extremely helpful and made sure to let me know ahead of time that he’d be out of town but that someone would be available if I needed anything. I did get the chance to meet Brian who introduced himself. We had a great time here and really enjoyed the mountain setting. Overall, a wonderful spot that I’d gladly return to

My boyfriend and I loved camping on Reid’s land. We pitched our tent at the creek side site and cooked dinner over the fire. The views were gorgeous. It was nice to have access to the creek because it was super hot until the sun went down. Came from Asheville so it was a nice little escape and we’ll recommend our friends.

Great stay here! Easy-to-follow directions, great communication from Reid, plenty of space to spread out and still feel private. Fell asleep to the sound of the creek and awoke to birdsong. The views are expansive and beautiful. Very green and lush. It's a really pretty drive out there and the local market (Grateful Roots) is an excellent breakfast stop. Would recommend, and would stay again. ☀️

I really loved this spot! despite all the rain the site stayed pretty dry, had gorgeous views, and the host was super communicative. I’d love to come back to hear the cows and see the light night bugs!
