Great quiet relaxing location, wildlife and the sound of the country. You will have the only camp site on the property. You can stay in the small camping cabin in comfort with your own bedding, or sleeping bag for the twin bed in the loft, or the futon on the main level. The cabin only has room for two adults unless you bring a camp pad to sleep on the floor, or squeeze in a child, but you have the comforts of an A/C , a Weber grill, mini fridge, microwave, and Electricity. Quiet former country farm site, with great wildlife viewing options with walking trails. Only 23 miles to DT St. Cloud and 8 Miles to the Walmart in Princeton for food or supplies. If a shower is desired the Kwik Trip in St Cloud, on Hwy 10 has showers. Just a half mile off Hwy 95 and 5 miles from the large Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, with trails and lots of wildlife. In the Fall expect to see a large amount of wildlife with many migrating birds come out of the refuge to feed. Expect to hear Pheasant's cackle in the AM, and see Sandhill Cranes and Geese fly over the camp site, or sitting in area fields. Enjoy time around a campfire with folding chairs and a picknick table, with plenty of free dry firewood in a storage rack.

Our family is looking forward to another great camping season! We offer a single site for off-season/winter camping for longer visits at a discounted rate. Please reach out for more information if you're interested. Joel and I have co-authored several books (under the pen name J.E. Ribbey) which are also available in the Farm Store. We have an American post-apocalyptic thriller series and a historical fiction series for middle grade readers about the American Revolutionary War. How we ended up in Knife Lake Township on 81 acres of forested land. We began looking for land in late fall of 1996. After several months of searching, we happened upon a tiny newspaper ad for 81 acres of land described as "Beautiful, secluded, mature hardwoods, tall pines w/creek & beaver pond, many gd bldg sites & great hunting". We toured the property, covered in almost two feet of snow, on a snowmobile in January 1997 and fell in love with it. We have been stewards of this piece of land for 25 years and are still enamored of its beauty and diversity. We are lulled to sleep by the sounds of owls and bullfrogs and the distant yipping of coyotes. Spring through fall we are often awakened by the rattling, honking of sandhill cranes and a wide variety of bird songs. Besides deer and lots of small critters, we've seen bear, bobcat, rafters of turkeys, quail, grouse, pheasant, owls, hawks and eagles. The sky, on a clear night, is breathtaking. We have always visualized sharing the land with others, so come and immerse yourself in this bountiful space.

The Farm used to be part of a larger, old farm until one day it was parceled off. It sat vacant for 15 years until I bought it and turned in into an off-grid, working farm. It's now it the seventh season of growing heirloom vegetables, fruit and herbs. Sign up for a farm tour or shop the Farm Shop to stock up on all the local produce + proteins. As a nature-lover, I designated 2 acres to pollinator habitat. Come walk the path through and discover all the critters that like to hang out in this safe haven. Learn more about this land: Enjoy an night on the farm: Leave your tent at home and camp in the open-air a-frame tucked in to a pocket of poplars and evergreens in the pollinator habitat. Stay up to watch the star with no light pollution. Wake up to the cranes visiting the fields in the morning.

Welcome to Whippletree! This is our sixth-generation family farm, and while it's more of a hobby farm now, it has been in continuous agricultural production since 1869! Besides tillable farm land, we are stewards of native prairie, small wooded areas, a remnant of an oak savanna and wetlands, with trails throughout. We consider this our sanctuary and enjoying sharing it with others looking for a place of retreat to connect with the natural world. Stop by for a visit!

Situated on 36 acres, this working farm is 2 miles West of Taylors Falls. Dan bought this property with the intention of growing stone fruits (plums, peaches, apricots and cherries) using sustainable and organic practices because health and wellness matter to them! They are still in the process of improving their property. Many of the building on the property were in poor condition, including the old barn foundation which is now one of Dan and Danielle favorite places to keep cool in the summer. After they had excavated all the debris (which took years) they were able to transform it with gardens and fire pit for all to enjoy. They love sharing what they have been blessed with! They hope you enjoy their place as much as they do! Feel free to ask them to show you around or even get your hands dirty with them as they plant or harvest.

Our bus was recently reviewed by Regular Car Reviews https://youtu.be/3641ixc3FkQ?si=_FVBOYz8TAEi_TFg Don't worry, you won't be driving in it! We are offering the opportunity to stay on the back hill of our ten-acre rural property. You can go for walks around the pasture on our mowed trail or just sit and enjoy the beautiful Minnesota views. The site is on a gravel road and you cannot see our house from where the bus is parked. While you can see the neighbor's house, it is still very dark at night and excellent for stargazing. The bus will be disabled for guests; it will not start or move. While there are electric fans, AC, and a TV with DVD player, there is no electricity available (bring your own generator if you want). There is a cassette toilet with instructions.

The Overgrown Oasis

Come escape to my private, untamed slice of nature. I intentionally manage this land as a wild, pollinator-friendly sanctuary—meaning I leave the herbicides behind and let the wildflowers, clover, and trees do their thing. If you're looking for a manicured, golf-course lawn, this isn't the spot for you! But if you love lush spaces, biodiversity, abundant wildlife, and true peace, you'll feel right at home. When you stay here, you'll enjoy plenty of privacy from the road and the company of my resident flock of free-roaming chickens. Because the landscape is left in its natural state, it is a haven for local birds and pollinators. Spend your days relaxing under the mature tree canopy, watching the chickens explore, or simply soaking in the quiet. Choose Your Basecamp: I offer two distinct ways to stay, ensuring every kind of camper can find their perfect pocket of privacy. The RV Spot: A dedicated, easy-access space to park your rig. You'll enjoy the benefits of a private setting without the crowded feel of a traditional commercial RV park. The site is next to the garage, so it's not completely "out in nature," but it's easy to back into using my driveway. There are also fewer bugs since it's not out in the "back 40." :) The Camping Spot: For the purists who want to pitch a tent right on the ground. Fall asleep to the rustle of the leaves and wake up surrounded by clover and wildflowers. You can choose almost anywhere on my 5 acres! No amenities are available. Things to Know & Ground Rules A Note on Pets: I love animals, but because my elderly dog and chickens rule the roost and roam freely, all guest pets must be kept on a leash at all times for everyone's safety. No exceptions. The Landscape: Because I don't meticulously mow or maintain traditional landscaping, the ground can be uneven and grasses may be tall. Wear appropriate footwear, bring insect protection, and embrace the wild! Pack your boots, leave the city noise behind, and come enjoy a truly natural escape!
