8 minutes from the Saxapahaw General Store and the Haw River Ballroom, you'll find us tucked away off the road. 32 gorgeous acres with exciting topography including two creeks, vast healthy woods and several open pastures. During the day, the blue heron flies overhead. At night, a pack of coyotes sings a wild chorus. The property has a home, a studio and a barn on it, so when you're near the parking area, you'll see those of us who live here. The campsites are private/secluded. We look forward to hosting you. Please note that this camping spot does require walking from the parking area to the camping spot and crossing the creek.Camp right at the convergence of the two creeks.  Please note that this camping spot does require significant walking from the parking area to the camping spot and crossing the creek.

Campfires allowed
Firepit, private. Please take fire safety very seriously. There are a few rules that I ask you to follow: - Keep a full bucket of water nearby (I have buckets if you need) - Always be watching the fire. If you are leaving the site or going to sleep, please put the fire out completely, including embers. - Make sure the area is clear of brush, tall grasses, dry branches, hanging limbs, anything that might catch a spark and ignite.
Toilet available
Pit toilet
Pets allowed
On leash. People should be aware that there are coyotes and birds of prey so pets should be closely supervised.
Drinking water available
Spigot, pump or well
Cooking equipment present
Pizza oven
No showers
Bathe in river or stream. There are two wonderful streams here that are knee-deep in spots. People should be aware that there are farms nearby with livestock and that there is also silt, so the water isn't often clear. The water quality varies greatly depending on the weather. So, especially if there has been a rainstorm, then the water will look murky and foamy.

Morgan's campsite offers a serene and secluded escape, nestled by a tranquil creek and shaded by tall trees. Visitors appreciate the privacy and natural sounds, like the gentle flow of the creek, which adds to the peaceful atmosphere. The campsite is well-equipped with essentials like a fire pit and water access, and Morgan's hospitality is frequently praised. A few guests mentioned noise from nearby gunfire, but overall, the campsite is a tranquil retreat close to nature.
