So nice and quiet with beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Lots of area for walking our dog too. One thing to note is that if the winds are high (35 mph+) it can be fairly dusty so you might want to chose the electric hookup option so you can keep your RV windows closed and run your AC in warm weather.

The site was so convenient to enter and exit. We told our hosts we would not be needing a 30/50 converter, but ours had gotten wet, so one was quickly provided to the easy- to- access utility pole
The ranch has many animals we were free to visit. Our host thoughtfully provided a very detailed map of “who” lived “where”, and a couple animals to avoid.

Very nice stay. You have to enjoy wide open space, sky and dessert quiet punctuated with the occasional rooster crowing. Watching the horses and birds was very relaxing. The hosts were pleasant but not intrusive.

Coyote Gulch - tent camping
This was my second time staying here and I really like it. I've always been a primitive/dry camping kind of guy and this ranch fits the bill!
Ken and Kate are a really nice couple and their mission to rescue horses and donkeys and find homes for them is really admirable. It seems like very hard work taking care of these beautiful animals. Their donkeys are super cute and really friendly!
I highly recommend a stay here!

Overall not a bad spot. The owners are friendly and helpful. Very quiet location with great views.

Awesome spot with a surprising amount of privacy. The horses were fun to visit with. Wish I could’ve stayed longer. Great hosts with an even better mission. Highly recommend.

Camping on Starbuck's Ranch was really enjoyable. The campsite was very private and situated in sort of a small gulch which minimized exposure to the wind. I arrived a bit later as the sun was setting so I didn't get to check out the horses and donkeys much. The host was very courteous and escorted me to the campsite. He also explained the workings of the ranch and other necessary information. The location was super quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed every bit of it and highly recommended!

My stay at the ranch was wonderful. The hosts were very friendly and showed me all around the ranch. There was a baby donkey “Louie” that I got to pet, along with many of the horses they have rescued. They found me the best spot to park in the gulch out of the wind. There is a nice fire pit and clean drinking water as well! The view of the sunset and night sky was breathtaking. And the ranch is only a short drive from the main roads. I will absolutely stay here again if I come out this way!

Love the mission of the ranch. And, Starbuck was incredibly kind as a host. I went tent camping on a very windy day and he picked out a spot for me where there was a nice natural dip (5+ feet) compared to the surrounding terrain to help block my camp from the wind. Would definitely stay here again.

Easy to find, friendly hosts, and plenty of room for the largest of rigs. Fun visiting with the animals, particularly the donkeys...and the baby donkey...just adorable. Electric if you need it. We boondocked with 31 ft. travel trailer.

Katrina and Ken couldn't have been better hosts! The tent camping spot is quiet and sheltered from wind, perfect for laying out under a million stars. Our kids absolutely loved petting the horses, donkeys, goats, and chasing chickens around the property. Can't wait to visit again, this place is truly magical!
