We can’t wait to share our land with you! Get away from it all and get under the Big Sky. Close to the freeway for easy access but adjacent to over 200 acres of beautiful farmland, you’ll experience Montana’s wildlife and have beautiful Mountain views when you stay at Primrose Meadows. There are few trees in the property, it’s mostly rolling hills with some trails to walk and plenty of space between sites! This property has a railroad track that runs next to the property that sometimes toots it’s horn, if you’re a light sleeper this is something you should consider! We are close to Council Grove and Frenchtown Pond which are both great swimming holes! You can also coordinate with us for cross-country skiing or head to Snowbowl for local downhill skiing! We are close to Missoula should you need any services in town.Get away from it all and get under the Big Sky. This was our first time hipcamping. Stayed 2 nights. Erin was super quick to respond when we had questions. Nice, private area with easy access to Missoula and great mountain views. We were in a small travel trailer (18’). Had no concerns with the train passing nearby. We’d stay again!

Wonderful experience up on the top of the meadow at Erin's. Campsites well spaced out so even though there are no trees you feel as if you are in your own world. Firewood delivered to your campsite is a nice add-on I would recommend!

I love this place!

This was my second stay at Primrose Meadows, and not my last! I love the wide open spaces, the space between campsites, the view of the big sky, and the fact that I can have my dog there with me. The host was so great in responding quickly to my texts and questions, and I even walked away with the most beautiful dozen eggs that I made into a delicious omelette the next morning. I love this place and will definitely be returning.

Excellent camp sites with many to choose from, all having benches and fire pits. I camped 2 nights with friends in tents and had a wonderful experience. All sites are well spaced apart from each other and various small hills adding extra privacy. Easily accessible and very fast and easy check-in on the app. Train rolls through but is hardly noticeable, rather pleasant with my experience. 10/10, will camp here again.

What a special place! A perfect place to set up camp for a night. It was serene and peaceful. The train wasn't as disruptive as I thought it would be. The wildlife viewing was incredible! If you are a bird watcher, this is a great place! I camped at spot 1 which had an amazing sunset. The place felt safe as a solo camper.

This is my all time most favorite place for van camping & I have been a repeat visitor, with aim for returning at least a couple times a year (if only I could ride my Harley up that gravel & dirt, it’d be more often). The surrounding farm/ranch lands, the proximity to downtown Missoula (I make my way out there for music often) & the sprawl for my pup to be ‘free’, so excellent!!!

Amazing camp site!

This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I were recently driving from East Coast to West Coast. We tried to camp as much as possible and enjoy the beauty of states like MT. However, Nov is a difficult month to find camping spots. We hadn’t had good luck finding a spot since we got into MT. But on the second day when we got to Missoula, we found Primrose. It was exactly what we were looking for. It’s close to Missoula but far enough out to feel remote. Great views of the hills. Beautiful spots. The camp host was so nice and attentive. I highly recommend this place. Also, highly recommend the fresh eggs on offer. Best we’ve had in months!

Property is pleasant with surrounding views of landscape, which includes mountains, farmland, and suburbs. Hilly terrain offers some privacy and though the railway is close, but the nearby hills muffle most of the train noise. There is a walking trail at the edge of the property that is really nice if you have a dog and without nearby traffic offers safe opportunity for some careful off-leash walks. Overall, a pleasant stop for the night.

We had a wonderful stay at Primrose! We arrived after dark but made our way to our site. Erin was a gracious host! We purchased a pound of their local beef and we can’t wait to try it. Sites are located away from each other and the scenery is beautiful. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here if your visiting the area!

Spacious camp sites and beautiful setting make this Hipcamp a great camp site in the Missoula area. Although the freight trains run a various times, I did not find the noise a significant interruption during the night. I'd definitely come back.

This is a magical spot on the river. 3 pull up spots and 1 tent site, bathrooms, showers and all the peace of the Salmon river. The directions are easy and I felt welcomed.

A perfect campsite for our 2 dogs to run and stretch their legs for our overnight trip. My husband and I enjoyed the views and peace and quiet! Keep in mind the trains do come by a few times a night. But other than that, it was pure silence.

Primrose Meadows is a beautiful location with stunning scenery, but be prepared for frequent and loud train noise. While the host did mention the nearby train, we didn't realize how intense it would be—even for heavy sleepers, it was a bit disruptive. If you're sensitive to noise, this might not be the best fit, but otherwise, it's a lovely spot to camp.

We had a good time, the campsite was pretty and clean, the host was very helpful and friendly. It was just a bit expensive, almost $50 for just one night in October. No water or trash service. But if this is how Montana families are able to hang on to ranch land, more power to them.

I loved tent camping at this site! Although my partner and I headed into town throughout the day to go visit my brother at University of Montana, it was such a lovely stay to watch the sunset and sleep! Erin was also so kind when greeting us. Definitely recommend!

Such a lovely place to camp for a few days while we enjoyed Missoula. Very easy to find and the bathroom was well stocked. Heard the train a few times our 2nd night but wasn’t too loud. Will definitely stay again if we’re ever passing thru Montana!

This is a great Hipcamp Location. Several site options all of which appeared level. The restroom facility was spotless. As far as the railroad tracks, it appears to be a short line and only used to shuttle an occasional string of a few cars so, noise was a non issue. In fact, this location is very quiet with great views and plenty of stars. Communication with the host was excellent.

Erin was awesome! This place is beautiful! Plenty of space, I couldn't even see the other campers. The train was not a problem for us at all. Super chill getting there late, the next morning was beautiful! It was so nice having coffee in that meadow! We ended up getting wood and stickers too, much needed! Thank you Erin!
