Green Acres Ranch is home to some of the most beautiful wildlife in the country. The town of Thompson Falls is filled with friendly residents, affordable eatery’s and unique trinket shopping. It's a 20-minute walk or 10-minute bike ride to the famous High Bridge that takes you to the island into town, along with swimming and fishing. Need some space. You’ll find it on our green fields of 10 acres, or 5 acres of forest. Inviting the wild turkeys, geese, elk, eagles and deer. Views are filled with panoramic serene mountains and majestic blue skies. Portable toilets will not be available until the beginning of May and we've got The Best Drinking Water. ~Thank You~

There's also a private outdoor compost toilet and a water hydrant with pristine drinking water. Lots of wildlife to see closeup, like geese, eagles, deer, wild turkey and elk. Lots of things to do, like swimming, hiking, bike riding and kayaking. You bring your comforts of home / camping gear and we offer Tranquility for just $45.00 a night. We do have 2 cots or a queen size blow up bed to rent for the duration of your stay. The Best Drinking Water and Portable Toilet is a short walk from the camp site. Make memories that will last a lifetime here at "Green Acres Ranch".

Magnificent in Montana

Time Machine Get-Away

We were looking for something near Thompson Falls where I camped as a kid, but now that we’re a bit older, we wanted a few more amenities. This little trailer was perfect. Half glamping, half camping. Super serene but close to town and walking distance to the river and high bridge (really nice wilderness park with swimming holes)…Montana never disappoints and Cindy’s place made it all the better.

The Roost

The Roost was exactly what is shown in the photos and so much more. Nice place to walk to the falls and into town. The horses were just a pleasure to see and pet. I would stay at The Roost again for sure! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Lovely meadow with 2 horses

Green Acres Meadow

Cindy was a gracious host. She has 30 acres of land and the HipCamp is in a lovely meadow on the front of the property. The out house was clean. The well water was cold and tasted fine. My kids enjoyed petting the 2 horses (Ben is the white one, Doc is the grey one). We selected a site on the south side to get some shade which made leveling a bit tricky as there is a bit of a sidehill.

Green Acres Meadow

Green Acres was truly a place of peace and tranquility! We had the pasture to ourselves and enjoyed the quiet sunrises and sunsets. Cindy was a great host, super responsive and recommended a handful of fun activities in that area that we did with our family. The site is a 5 minute bike ride from an INCREDIBLE swimming hole. This was our second time here, we will for sure be back again.

We did not get to meet Cindy but she contacted us before we arrived. We were the only ones in a gorgeous green meadow with fabulous views of the mountains. Our dogs had a great time. The walk to Island park and into town is a must do.

The Roost

The Roost was exactly what we needed for our last minute trip. The bed was comfortable, the mini fridge was great to have, and the cooking set up was a nice amenity, along with the well water. My husband loved the hammock. The land was beautiful and had plenty of space for outdoor games - great for Bocce ball! Cindy and her family were very friendly and she made sure we had everything we needed. We also felt very safe! A highlight was definitely their beautiful horse, Ben. Our dog, Tucker, eagerly awaited each encounter with Ben, who proved to be remarkably gentle.

The location and land at the camp was beautiful: full meadow surrounded by evergreens. The camp is easy to get to and close enough to town to make a needed run to the grocery store. The port-a-potty was spotless and the well water delicious. Cindy is a delightful and thoughtful host. She ride her bike up to camp to greet us, and delivered a cache of information on things to do in the area. When our family left belongings out during an unexpected rainstorm, Mark and son came out to the camper and re-stored them, saving us from having drenched gear. You couldn't ask for more kindness and effort from a host family.

Green Acres A Place of Beauty

We had a great stay at Cindy’s Green Acres, her family was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area giving us a fantastic hike recommendation! It was very peaceful and clean, there is plenty of space to enjoy. Our dogs enjoyed being able to play fetch in the field. Being able to fill our water tank up was a huge bonus, and sitting by the fire in the evening was a perfect way to end the night. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a peaceful camp in the area.

Green Acres Meadow

Cindy left us a nice packet at our campsite with info about the surrounding area, and things we could do. So sweet and thoughtful! The views were gorgeous. The grassy area for camping was so green, well maintained, and pretty level. The porta-potty was very clean and always stocked. It was quiet and peaceful with an ocassional train heard off in the distance. We saw a bald Eagle, listened to some birds, played with our dog, and just relaxed. We’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

Cindy was incredibly kind and accommodating. The property is beautiful and “The Roost” was a perfect place for us to stay with our dog and it even had more amenities than expected! I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking to stay close to town while still feeling totally secluded.

Such a perfect place. It’s a easy, pleasant walk to town and to the river. The land is stunning and so peaceful. I loved watching the sunrise and set each day. While I was staying there the cherries were perfect for picking and absolutely delicious. I’ll be back. Thank you Cindy and Mark, you are wonderful hosts.

Retro get-a-way, beautiful setting!

Time Machine Get-Away

Absolutely beautiful setting. The trailer was perfectly retro and super comfortable with the air conditioning. It had a great propane stove that we used a lot and Cindy provided everything we could need to cook (though there was only one fork!). Our kids stayed in the trailer and we slept in a tent just outside, which was super fun for them! It was nice to have the respite in the heat if needed. The property itself is gorgeous and we had a wonderful time going for walks and hanging with Ben, their beautiful horse. The location is great! A 2 minute drive takes you to the high bridge to walk into town or a killer swimming hole (or rock throwing heaven). If you prefer to drive to town it's about five minutes in. We had our own private "toilet" - a bucket with sawdust, it worked great and our kids got a kick out of it. I would highly recommend and suggest you also check out her other listings including on Airbnb. Cindy was available and attentive and great to chat with. Thank you!

Green Acres A Place of Beauty

We had a great stay at Green Acres! The kids loved feeding Ben the horse, picking cherries from the cherry tree! Located in walking distance to the bridge so the older boys walked down to the river for fishing and the rope swing. Cindy had a welcome bag for us with maps and things to do which we loved and was really helpful! Nice spot with plenty of room to spread out! Great location for a home base to recreate from! Had a little camper trouble and the hosts were so generous to help us out! Thanks so much!!
