Yurt so good.
The yurt itself was very inviting, and the wood stove was easy enough to enjoy. The weather itself was less than perfect, but that is how camping goes, even hip, yurt camping. Bill himself was wonderfully communicative, so that there were no troubles finding and using the yurt.

Great little countryside retreat!
My husband and I loved the Bunkhouse on sight! It was a great little place to escape from our long road trip and the relentless rain storms we'd driven through all day. Bill was very helpful and we passed a nice quiet night there. We'll be staying there again!

We absolutely loved staying at Bill’s yurt. It was super cozy and had everything we needed for the weekend. My son and I put together a puzzle one evening (provided by the host), my husband and I sat by a fire and played cards (cards and wood provided by the host), and then we took a walk down the trail to a nice little creek where we found a fire pit, chairs and a hammock! Each evening we were visited by the sweetest kitty. The host, Bill, was very nice and my husband enjoyed chatting with him every time he went to get more wood. We will definitely be planning another stay at this location!

The yurt was cozy and comfy! As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe and secure, too! The view was beautiful, even before the trees filled in with leaves and the little trail down to the creek was very cute! My young kiddos would have absolutely adored playing in the creek! Lots of fun little touches that showed that it’s a place filled with care and love.

We had a really good time!
It was very comfortable! The beds were perfect to make it an easy camping trip if your just wanting to get away, there was even heat and A/C in the bunk house when we arrived there was even a note that said “welcome Quinn and family” with little candies bill is very thoughtful, and let us have a fire in his yard! He was great host! I would recommend this place! He also has a cabin, and also a yert. If you prefer more of privacy the yert is farther away and the cabin faces his cool pound with a dock!

Lovely yurt in the woods
The yurt was lovely. So many special touches! A nicely stocked kitchen area, the futon was already made with sheets and a quilt under the cover. We had a girls weekend, and it was so much fun just to wander around and explore the little touches in the yurt. It was beautiful. Definitely felt more clamping, than camping, we just needed to add our own food!
It was very cozy and warm on arrival (late winter time), there were 2 space heaters running and a central heater when we arrived. They were easy to adjust and keep it cozy.
Things you might want to know: The land itself is a narrow strip in the woods, we took a little jaunt down the hill to the creek, but not much space to hike on the land.
It might not be super pleasant to cross to the compost toilet in very cold weather, but it was fine for us, if a bit chilly!
Overall, I have no complaints. It was a beautiful space, we really enjoyed it!

Yeah, its magic.
Every corner of this property is touched with Love. For me, it was a haven, a sanctuary to read, write, meditate, and really commune with Nature and the glorious stars. The yurt is perfectly located to experience the sunrise and sunset. The moon and stars seem to prefer hanging out over the deck. The trail is just enough, and the creek is a gurgling joy. Bill is a great host, willing to do whatever you want, or stay the heck away. He created this/these gloriously special spaces FOR US. When you go, be sure to read the guest book when you arrive so you can benefit from all the good energy and experiences that have made being there heart opening and, quite frankly, sacred. And, of course, if you are willing to allow it, you will have a best friend in Cleopatra the cat. One hint: park on the drive to the upside of the yurt/trail unless you have 4 wheel drive (wink).

The bunkhouse was cozy. However, it smelled of musty sweat as soon as I entered the place. Turned out it’s the beddings, particularly the pillows, smelled like they’ve been used by sweaty people and haven’t been washed. Due to the cold temperature in December, had to keep door closed with heater on (room was toasty), which probably amplified the smell. I was able to sleep only by piling all the pillows to one side of the room and by using my own sleeping bag and pillow on the bed towards the back (thankfully the blanket on that bed did not smell).

Magical Treehouse Yurt
This magical treehouse yurt was incredible. The pros: amazing scenery and feel. The bed was heavenly. Glad there was a shower! Even the outhouse was adorable. The host was incredibly gracious with us on a personal accommodation request and I am SO grateful for that! Our stay was wonderful.
The "cons": I have a big van and it was kind of difficult to get out of the parking space, so keep that in mind when driving in. Also, small thing (but feels big in the moment) was that there was no creamer for the coffee. BUT the coffee ended up being so delicious that I did not need it lol.
Over all would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! Thank you so so much.

The bunk house is so cool
The bunk house was a perfect weekend getaway. The heater warmed the place up perfectly and there was great lighting, outlets, and plenty of bedding. We felt so safe and comfortable. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a cabin camp night. (And If you’re really concerned about the bathroom situation there’s a few gas stations less than 10mins away)

Heaven in the Forest
Heaven. Was super amazing and super relaxing. Bill was an amazing host and took care of everything needed. We try and do something different every trip. This was new but was worth itm secluded, peaceful and quiet.

Simply magical! My girlfriend and I have stayed at numerous airbnbs and campsites, but this one was special. The location was amazing and the yurt itself was unforgettable. The thought and care put into everything in and around the yurt was astounding and heartwarming. We honestly hope to come back one day! Thank you so much!

Cabin by the pond!
I loved every moment of it. The host was so helpful from starting grill fire to handing out an antacid for spicy food we ate 😂 We thoroughly enjoyed his company.
The place was very very comfy, neat and well maintained. Had the wonderful chance to meet Miss Cleopatra(cat).

The yurt is felt magical inside. There are many thoughtful details to the care and experience of guests. Simple, comfortable, clean, and well supplied. My child (4yo) and I walked the path to the creek at least twice a day. As a single parent with a young child, this property felt safe and undisturbed. One of our days it rained heavily in the evening, we stayed warm and happy in the yurt playing games.
I have a crew cab 1500 and the last patch of road to the yurt was a bit tight. The pine trees touched the cab on both sides and I had some difficulty turning around because the trees are right along the edges of the road. A smaller truck or vehicle would do find.

Great cozy space in the woods
Because I have a camper van, I didn't actually sleep in the Bunkhouse. But I did take a look, and it is very cute and cozy. The AC was going when I got there, so it would have been quite comfortable. Nice touches and a welcome note made me almost sad I wouldn't take advantage of the space.
After parking my been in the designated spot, I sat on the porch and enjoyed the sounds of the woods. And the cats, who came to say hello and get scratches. One of them even came with me on my walk around the trail on the property.
The parking spot wouldn't fit a larger RV, but a van for just fine. Great spot, whether you use the Bunkhouse or not.

Aside from wildlife, a couple roosters at a neighboring plot, & a couple dogs warning away coyotes, it’s very quiet. Serene. Really comfy & cozy spot.

Hiking Weekend
The Bunk House was PERFECT for 2 old gals that have been friends for 54 years. We each live in different states, this was the perfect place to meet. Bill is so knowledgeable of the area, answered all of our questions, plus great communication before our arrival. Cleopatra and Oreo the cats were also a bonus for this cat lover. I would definitely return.
