Here, there is time to slow down, room to breathe, and lots to explore. 🏖️ Soak up the sun on the sandy beach, hike through the hidden trails, and take the pontoon out for a cruise. Be sure to turn the tech off and challenge a rival to ping pong, crack a cold one, and explore the water on stand-up paddleboard. 🍦 Bring the little ones and get messy at the arts & crafts table, catch a sunfish off the docks, and indulge in s’mores around the campfire. Don’t forget to show us what you got on the volleyball court and savor an ice cream at the camp store. Curl up in a hammock and get lost in a good book, smile at the flowers and gaze in awe at the night sky. Just be.

Since 1949, we've been a family-operated resort & campground on Swan Lake in Fergus Falls, MN. We offer lakeside cabins, tent camping, and full hook-up,pull-through RV sites. Here, there is time to slow down, room to breathe, and lots to explore. Cabin #1 is a 500 square foot cabin equipped with 2 queen size beds and a futon. The space comfortably sleeps 6. In the main room, there is a full kitchen, dining area, and living room. The space is kept comfortable by a propane furnace and a window AC unit. Right outside the front door, there is an 8ft x 15ft deck and outdoor table & seating to enjoy. Note that pets are absolutely welcome but there is a $15/night fee that must be manually added to the reservation as Hipcamp isn't setup for it.

The Northlands Camping sites are full hook-up sites with water, sewer, and 20/30/50 amp electric pedestals. At 40ft wide x 70ft long, there is lots of room once in position but navigating the turns is best for rigs under 40ft. Each site has a gravel pad, picnic table, fire pit, paved patio, and lots of grass. There is a mix of shade with mature trees and younger saplings. Here, there is time to slow down, room to breathe, and lots to explore. The campground offers a sandy beach, playground, watercraft, swimming raft, water slide, log roller, 700ft of lakeshore with 10 docks, lawn games (volleyball, cornhole, ladderball, spikeball, crossnet, basketball), hiking trails, a shower house, and indoor game room for those rainy days (pool, ping pong, foosball, boardgames). There are pontoons and motorized fishing boats for rent. A camp store provides the often forgotten essentials. The 1 electric + water tent camping site has a 20amp outlet and spigot on-site. Guests are welcome to use the shared public facilities that have hot showers and flush toilets. The site overlooks Swan Lake and is a short walk from the public restrooms. It's great for solo campers or groups of up to 6. Each site comes with 2 designated parking spots a 2 minute from the site. Note that vehicles, boats, and trailers are not allowed on the grass.

Lakeside Cabin - C4

Swan Lake Resort is a fun-filled place to stay. It's close to the main city, Fergus Falls, yet away from all the city life. Cabin #4 has the best view of the lake, with a large deck overlooking the lake. The host, Lagos, a very friendly and accommodating person, always on-site and ready to ensure that you have a comfortable stay. The cabin is equipped with everything you would expect in a home away from home. Definitely recommend.

I stayed only 1 night at Swan Lake resort, came in late and left early, because I'm "on the road". The hosts/owners were very accommodating after business hours to find a space that would suit a quick entrance and exit, and easy tent set up.

Beautiful, well kept nice beach. We went after school started it was nice to have a very quiet place to stay. The fishing was no good but then again we didn't have a boat. The people that run the place are very nice. Definitely plan on going back again someday.

This camp site was great. It was right against the lake with wonderful views. The firewood was reasonably priced and the camp store was helpful to buy odds and ends. It's only 10 minutes from Fergus Falls. The owner was helpful and kind. I highly recommend!!

We love the place. It's nice and relaxing. The staff are friendly and nice they will give you a tour of the place and they will tell you what is included in the reservation. However, if you have a dog I will suggest that it's better to book for a cabin than to do a tent camping. There is a lot of ticks and it's because of Spring season. We enjoy staying at the place and we will definitely coming back!

I wish that i could recommend this place to a friend because overall the campground is really pretty and has alot of cool little things like boat rentals, kayak/canoeing, paddle boating, and they had a nice swimming area with sand toys for my kids. They had a volley ball court and cute labor day weekend activities. But my experience was not what i had hoped it would be with management... the camping sites aren't labeled, that was a whole thing.. I chose a camping site on hipcamp between two options. The morning after our arrival we were asked to move because they "play tetris with the campsites" as the guy explained to me. Also because apparently we could not have our car parked near us at this spot even though that was not stated anywhere on hipcamp nor their own website. So we were moved to a site under 3 huge oak trees next to the gameroom/garage. All day and night these acorns were constantly dropping onto these tin roofs and assaulting us. To make matters worse I was told after setting up camp, that they don't allow camping mats. My perforated camping mat that is literally the eco friendly option for campers? We also saw an rv site with the same mat right next to us and nothing was said to them.. We took it down like asked and my 4 year old and 10 month old had to walk on acorns all weekend...there's more I could add but there's a character limit... it just wasn't a welcoming experience, I won't be returning, and I won't be recommending to anyone.

Lakeside Fulll Hook-up RV Camping

Swan Lake Campground is a beautiful setting, with everything you could want - clean, spacious, open areas with a gorgeous beach, excellent hiking trails and an abundance of pretty planters full of flowers everywhere. The staff here is incredible. I enjoyed meeting and talking with each of them. They were there every time we needed them, and left us alone the rest of the time. There was a slight snafu at check-in but it wasn't the staff's fault yet they handled it very professionally. Lots of amenities and fun rental equipment. We'll be back, for sure!

My fiancé and I had a terrific time at Swan Lake! The grounds were very full-- this is not the place to go if you're looking for a ton of privacy-- but there is SO much to do at the resort that you'll soon forget! They had us share a site with a family in an RV our first night. The family claimed their dogs were vicious so they didn't have to share the campfire. They left the next morning (4:30am!) and woke up every songbird in the area making it impossible to fall back asleep. I definitely wouldn't want to share an area with an RV again. Since we were both awake early, we took the free kayaks out to watch the sunrise on Swan lake. It was breathtaking and serene. Such a positive! We went to Big Chief Cafe/Truck Stop (recommended) in the area and had the BEST breakfast and a fresh, homemade caramel rolls. We were able to rent a fishing boat for the day (for a modest price) and spend several hours on the lake. We caught countless small varieties of fish and a huge guy snapped our line, but it was fun! The resort offers lots of other free activities when we were done on the lake: we played ping pong, disc golf, cornhole, used the slack line... and those were just a few of the many, many options. Firewood was available at their shop (inexpensive) along with many useful items. We were able to get a good fire going for dinner with smores. They even have bathrooms with showers available--just don't expect them to smell great. All-in-all it was a great trip!

This property is beautiful and well taken care of. So much to do! The beach is clean and there are lots of water activity options available- paddle boat, kayaks , canoe, etc. Toys for kids to play with, volley ball net, basketball hoop . Clubhouse with pool, ping pong, loads of board games. Clean showers and toilets. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. We will definitely go back ! 5 stars and all the thumbs up 🌟

Swan Lake is a great place to stay. The grounds are pristine and it was incredibly quiet. The camp is located close enough to the highway to be convenient but far enough away to avoid noise. Lagos was quick to respond to questions. We highly recommend staying here!
