Learn more about this land: Our property is located near the tiny village of Glen Hazel, our unique area offers close proximity to many watersports and hiking opportunities. Visitors can watch bald eagles and osprey as you enjoy kayaking, fishing and nature at this primitive campsite. We have just one site. Our campsite is very private and includes a fire ring, a picnic table a trash can and a swing. Parking is available right at the site. It's just a 2 minute walk to the northernmost kayak launch on the East Branch of the Clarion River. Here you will find a public porta potty for use during the summer only. Several small jack dams will make your kayak experience a delight. We have a private 1 acre pond just a stones throw from the campsite that visitors can enjoy. Fishing is permitted in the pond, no license needed. Fly fishermen will enjoy the thrill of catching native and stocked trout in the most beautiful section on the East Branch of the Clarion River (PA fishing license and trout stamp required). Nearby is Bendigo State Park that offers free use of picnic areas and swimming in an immaculately kept pool. Just 1 1/2 miles away is the Dam Inn where you can stop for a beer or for a nice dinner on the deck. Adjacent to the campsite is State Gamelands #25. This enormous tract of public land is open to all for hiking, biking and fishing the pristine native trout streams, including Middle Fork, Crooked Creek and several others. Had a great Memorial Day weekend camping in our van! The site was perfect and felt secluded, but was easy to find near a quiet road. Even though it rained the first two days, there was plenty of tree cover to keep it from feeling like a downpour. Loved being close to the picturesque pond where we could hear the frogs calling each night. It was sooo nice having a fire pit and picnic table already set up, as well as a mailbox full of other little amenities and guest book with other campers’ messages. There was no Verizon or Mint Mobile cell service, which was nice to let us disconnect. Thanks for a great site that let us novice campers have such a fun weekend!

Great spot! Easy to find, just off the road but very private and quiet. Loved the swinging chair by the fire pit and the benches by the pond. Porta-potty just a few minute walk down the road. Host was friendly and communicative.

We loved staying at this site! Cute little secluded getaway! If you love fishing, this is the place to stay! Nice pond right next to the site. Although we got caught it a rain storm, we still made the most of it! Our host was great! Stopped by and said if it got too bad we can always seek shelter there instead! Definitely would come again!

It was just as described from the reviews we read. Susan stopped by to see if we needed anything. We loved her mailbox with all the little things you might need or you forgot. She had a notebook in there as well so campers could leave a note about their stay. The site was perfect. A little close to the road, but the traffic was very minimal and mostly kayakers. The pond was great and our dogs loved it too...no leashes all weekend ! We will be back !!

This was such an amazing spot! We loved how close we were to the stream, this campsite is very well named! My husband caught some rainbow trouts on the fly and our pups absolutely loved getting to swim in the stream. Susan was an amazing host. She made sure to let me know about a meteor shower taking place and even offered to start a campfire for us! I would highly recommend this spot to anyone wanting a peaceful camping spot in this area!

Took my pets to a state park campground several months ago. Won’t do that again. Neighboring campers making noise all night, folks walking their dogs by all day long. Susan’s property was secluded, quiet and serene, other than the sounds of the frogs in the pond as we observed the stars. Directions took me right there no problem. Lots to see in the area.

This location is perfect for a visit to the trout gods of the Clarion River. Literally a one minute walk from camp to the river. Capm was clean and easily accessible. Host was great at communicating and directions were spot on. I will be back again with my fly rod.

Susan, was a very kind, accommodating hostess. The site was tucked away in a nicely wooded area, within a short distance of a pond. It had rained recently, and the site was quite muddy and buggy, however, so we decided not to stay. If it had been another time, it may have been okay, but it was not what we were hoping for.

Frogs Paradise <3

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time here! Though it rained, we had shelter, the canopy of trees helped our fire from going out all day long. The tent spot was level, the added swing was precious, and we spent so much time looking for frogs along the pond. The river across the road is was cool and peaceful. The porta potty by the kayak launch was clean and only a two minute walk, if you don’t have a camp toilet. Perfect for our weekend away!

The camp site was fantastic! Owners were very helpful. It rained most of our stay and the owners offered to let us borrow a canopy to stay dry. The pond was great and the creek across the street was a lot of fun to play in as well.

Awesome location with superb fishing. The site sits just off a very quiet country road where we saw two cars all weekend. The site has a great pond that is well kept and great for kids as the water edge is well maintained. There is no water on the site which we expected, but we filtered water from the stream that is maybe 150 feet from the camp. The stream is thick with trout! It is artificial only directly across from the camp but bait is allowed just a short distance down the road. The site was clean and well kept. Small items like a frying pan, grate for the fire, candle lanterns, and skewers for cooking were on site and a nice touch. There are plenty of trees to hang tarps or a hammock. Despite the area having a pond and some low lying bog, we had no issues with mosquitoes. The host stopped in to answer any questions we had and was very nice. If you like larger fires or stay up later at night you may wish to order two bundles of wood per day. If you were stingy or hit the sack early, you could do one bundle per day. We will be making the 4.5 hour trip back in the future to stay here again!

It’s a great little camping spot across from the Clarion River. Just down the road there is a parking area with open river access to get in the river, however you cannot actually see the river from the campsite (tall grass/brush/trees). The site is close to the road and there was some traffic due to using the river access point. However, the site is surrounded by trees and kind of tucked away so you have some privacy.

It was a fantastic place to stay! We were sad when we had to leave. The area is peaceful with nobody to bother you and silence. The property was big enough for a large tent. There was a fire pit, swing and picnic table. A 2 second walk away was a large pond that you could sit by . I recommend checking this property out, I will be sure to get back there this year for sure!

Amazing place to tent out!

Me and my two friends planned a tenting trip here and had an amazing time. The location was beautiful and well worth the four hour drive. We travelled 45 minutes to the Kinzua bridge and enjoyed the scenery before hiking up the hill. We then ate at the Dam Inn which had incredible food and was just down the road from the camp site. I would absolutely recommend this location for anyone that enjoys fishing, traveling, and camping!

Great little spot. Secluded and only a short drive (22 min) to the Clarion River in Ridgeway. About an hour from Heart's Content old growth forest in the Allegheny National Forest. I appreciated that there was a picnic table with bench that could be moved closer to the fire. Boat launch is just down the street which is beautiful even if you aren't into fishing! Will note that I used the instant book feature on the same day (a few hours prior to arrival) and despite messaging host, they thought we were intruders when driving by late at night, so we had to explain ourselves. I would still recommend the spot, and it wasn't that distracting from our evening, but a bit disappointing since I went out of my way to send a DM and let the host know we'd be arriving late. However, I understand reception can be spotty in the area. Would recommend sending a DM too if you book the same day, just in case the host isn't near their computer/phone/service. Overall, great spot!

My friends and I loved our stay at the Fisherman’s Paradise. The camp spot was the perfect size for the 5 of us it and it was as nice and shaded. There’s a pond a stones throw away but the best part was the nearby river. It’s only a few minutes walk to where you can set up a picnic blanket and get in. Susan and her husband were super nice as well.
