Austin Dam Memorial Park offers campers a serene and spacious environment with plenty of privacy and natural beauty. The babbling creek and ample space for tents and trailers enhance the relaxation factor, while the historical ruins and scenic trails provide plenty to explore. Guests have praised the clean and well-maintained facilities, including the port-a-potties, though some noted the proximity to a road can occasionally bring in traffic noise. Overall, it’s a well-regarded spot for those seeking a peaceful camping experience with a touch of history.

We came on a clear night with a new moon and could see the Milky Way which is exactly what we were hoping for. The campsite was exactly as described but was even more amazing in person. It was breathtaking and extremely peaceful. I highly recommend #5 and we will be back!!

The babbling creek was so peaceful to listen to! It was a great site. Our teardrop uses solar and the area we choose within the site was perfect! We were also able to use our starlink mini as well. We hung the hammock next to the creek. It was so relaxing! It was nice when reserving the site to have the option of getting firewood delivered to our site. The host, Alvy, was friendly and helpful as well.

It was okay
It's extremely expensive for what it is. You get a picnic table and a fire ring, and a port a potty a ways away. That's it, and it costs double the price of a state park campsite. That said, it was at least clean and pleasant and fairly quiet, although there is a road not that far away, and the creek is very nice.
