Small irrigated ranch in the Deer Lodge Valley, surrounded by mountains, access to public lands and beautiful scenery. East side of acreage has the Clark Fork River running through it, even though the neighbors are close still lots of privacy. Learn more about this land: Pitch your tent or park your RV on a very basic flat field with 360 views all around, (note my River camp site and access to the River is closed due to state reclaimation and cleanup of the River). Site is 7 miles from Deer Lodge, MT. Small fire pit, not great but available for guests unless fireban is on during dry conditions short drive to several acres of public ground, ATV access, hiking, and mountain biking and fishing This is an 80-acre working ranch with cows, irrigation and hay so you may have to drive through the cows and there will be cowpies :-). Great cell service and private property on both sides, easy access to campsite. 10-minute drive to historic Grant Kohrs Ranch, old prison museum and many other unique Montana experiences.Very basic, flat meadow, can park, and camp anywhere, there is an old metal tire ring for a fire if you want when fire restrictions are off. This pasture site at times is used for cattle and horse grazing, there will be cowpies scattered throughout.

The views are beautiful. Super close to I-90 but far enough away that you can’t hear the road noise. Jodi was so accommodating. I drove right past the hip camp I was supposed to be at and was heading for this second night reservation. She was quick to respond to my request to come and stay a night ahead of schedule. Site was perfect for me and my dog. Lots of walking and swimming in the river for the pooch. Felt very safe. Would stay again.

It’s bare basic which we loved. Open grass field. Saw 7 deer one night! Very quiet. We originally paid for 2 nights and added 2 more. Central to everything we wanted to explore!

We enjoyed a lovely, quiet, peaceful stay at the Hidden Meadows pasture site. The pasture is large and we had the place all to ourselves. The host’s communication was incredibly quick, friendly and responsive. We would absolutely stay again!

Camping at the creek!

The spot down by the creek was awesome! It is driving through a pasture on an unimproved road but it is worth the effort! Go slow and you will be fine. We will definitely stay here again when we are traveling through the area.

A very nice and quiet spot next to the river. The 2 spaces are well separated to provide privacy. Convenient spot along I-90 if you are traveling through. Highly recommend, slight “white noise” from I-90 but subtle.

River Site

We LOVED staying here! It’s in a very convenient location making it easy to visit neighboring towns due to its proximity off I-90. Yet, it is also very private as the site is located at the very back of the property. Any road noise we heard coming from the Interstate was minimal. The road in to camp was easy, and the spot we set up on with our little trailer was nice and flat, which was right next to the pole. We didn't have access to the river really, but it sure was nice listening to its flow and watching the fish swim up to eat things on the surface. Plenty of cow moo’s and bird chirp’s too. Our dogs loved running around and exploring the space … they definitely found plenty of cow pies to snack on 😆😉 We look forward to returning again next summer!

Magnificent Sunset/Sunrise in Monta

Open pasture camping in beautiful Montana. Not much else needs to be said. The camping area itself is level and clean with a fire ring for when they are allowed. We enjoyed sunset on one side of camper and sunrise on the other. Easy in and out to campsite with clear directions from host! I wish we’d had more time to enjoy. We booked the day before and response was almost immediate. Next time through we will for sure be adding this to our list for a slightly longer stay!

Quiet & restful site near Deerlodge

Typically I’d seek a dispersed camp site on public lands in areas I’m more familiar with, but I wasn’t sure what the options were near deer lodge & didn’t want to be driving around aimlessly in the dark looking for a site w my kids in tow. This camp site was perfect, not too far from our travel route & easy to find & set up at. Just like home, pretty quiet other than the occasional sounds of nearby cattle which is peaceful.

Really loved the solitude and beauty here. Enjoyed the wide open space and watching the cows graze! Location is very close to the interstate which made it very convenient while traveling across the country. Definitely would stay again!

Excellent location, easy access to deer lodge (check out the local defunct prison - super cool), and Butte (great downtown). Stayed right by the river. Peaceful and serene atmosphere. Loved hearing the cows occasionally in the background. Jodi was a great host. Would highly recommend!

We had a great time setting up our trailer in the pasture. It was secluded and it was great to have some quality time with my family. There is an amazing view from the pasture and we experienced the most beautiful sunsets while there.

We loved the river camp site. We rented both sites and being new to trailer life we opted to set up camp in the field. We were able to explore the river and it was very beautiful. The fire pit was awesome and our pup loved running around.
