Stay with me on this newly landscaped lot in remote Dixon, MT! If you are a bicyclist traveling down the Paradise Canyon, this is the perfect pitstop.
The Canyon runs East and West, creating a similar effect seen only in the Ojai mountains. The Cantina has delicious food, and restroom facilities are available off-site.Hidden in the Rocky Mountains of Western Montana, expect to see lots of wildlife, including eagles, condors, deer, elk, and maybe a bear!
Dixon is an unincorporated town on the CSK Reservation that once had a population of over 5,000 and now has less than 300. Multiple abandoned stage stops and rail depots are shattered throughout the surrounding landscape and prove to be high-yield metal detectors' dreams come true with little or no previous activity. Find treasures from the 1850s or possibly earlier preserved in this desert environment.
I have spent months landscaping and preparing this property for future habitation-so don't miss out on this opportunity before a domicile is installed.
IMPORTANT NOTE: electric, water, and sewer applications were submitted months ago and are still being connected.
A local cantina and mercantile are the facilities you will need for your "business," but you can use my stove and oven, or firepit, to prepare food. Water is available with an outside shower, but you must stay clothed 😆.
This is an excellent spot if you are traveling through and located in the town. Groceries and supplies are located within 10 miles, and if you need a ride for convenience, I am willing to take you.
This area is very remote, with few towns or houses nearby, and a trendy place for summer vacations close to Flathead Lake and Glacier National Park. Summer campgrounds are filled with permanent residents, and prices can be astronomical. If you are traveling through, this is an excellent place to rest for the night.
