•FLATHEAD LAKE
Flathead Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi in the lower 48 states, with over 200 square miles of water and 185 miles of shoreline.
Recreation on and around the lake includes sailing, power boating, waterskiing, swimming, fishing, picnicking, and camping. In the summer, roadside stands along the east shore offer a variety of locally grown cherries, apples, plums, and other fruits.
•GLACIER NATIONAL PARK
Experience Glacier's pristine forests, alpine meadows, rugged mountains, and spectacular lakes. With over 700 miles of trails, Glacier is a hiker's paradise for adventurous visitors seeking wilderness and solitude. Relive the days of old through historic chalets, lodges, and the famous Going-to-the-Sun Road. Explore Glacier National Park and discover what awaits you.
•FLY FISHING
The Flathead River system of northwestern Montana offers memorable fishing opportunities. From sites of easy access to that remote wilderness, the Flathead waters can provide diverse fishing experiences. Three main branches, the North Fork, Middle Fork, and South Fork, eventually come together to form the main stem of the Flathead River that flows into the 28-mile-long Flathead lake. Access to the three forks and the main Flathead is readily available in places, but to effectively fish the best of the Flathead, floating is suggested. The hardest thing about fly fishing in this part of northwestern Montana is keeping your eye on your fly and not the spectacular scenery.
•BIGFORK SUMMER PLAYHOUSE
The Bigfork Summer Playhouse was founded in 1960 by Dr. Firman ‘Bo’ Brown and his wife Margery Hunter Brown as a place for University of Montana theatre students to perform in the summer.
In the early days of the Bigfork Summer Playhouse, the company ate group meals, rehearsed, and lived in the same place. There were no facilities to build scenery, nor extra storage of any kind. As a matter of fact, the building didn’t even belong to the Bigfork Summer Playhouse — it was a Community Hall owned by the Masons and the Eastern Star and seated approximately 200 people. The summer group would rent the facility and bring in the stage, risers, and seats for the audience.
We’re pleased to say that now the playhouse is a 435-seat air-conditioned theater with great fly space, a spacious lobby that contains a concession area, and wonderfully comfortable continental-style seating for hundreds of guests. Numerous spaces off-site to accommodate production needs including a dormitory facility for the actors; living quarters for the directors, technicians, and musicians; costume shop; scene shop; and rehearsal space.
•SPARTAN RACE
Spartan Race is a series of obstacle races of varying distance and difficulty ranging from 3 miles to marathon distances. They are held in the US and have been franchised to 30 countries including Canada, South Korea, Australia, and several European countries. The series includes the Spartan Sprint, the Spartan Super, the Spartan Beast, and the Spartan Ultra.
•WHITEWATER FESTIVAL
The Bigfork Whitewater Festival is celebrating 46 years of extreme whitewater action and community-oriented fun! This is the longest-running event in Bigfork and is one that the entire Flathead Valley looks forward to each year. Participants come from around the world to race. Spectators are also a huge part of this festival and come to enjoy the races and other events held in town.
•BIGFORK FESTIVAL OF ARTS
It was in May of 1978 when the idea of a Bigfork Festival of the Arts was first proposed. As so often happens in Bigfork, it started with a conversation on Electric Ave. between members of the community. The first festival was held on the first weekend in August of 1978. It was a resounding success despite the committee’s inexperience. The feedback from the community was very positive and the group agreed that it should become an annual event.
Over the years, the festival has grown steadily to its current size. In 2019, there were more than 140 booths representing a wide variety of arts and crafts by nationally and internationally recognized artists and craftsmen. Festival attendance is estimated to be more than 6,000.
•4TH OF JULY PARADE
Bigfork knows how to throw a party. And when it’s our country’s birthday, Bigfork really knows how to celebrate. The centerpiece of the celebration is the annual parade through Bigfork which begins at noon. Bring your whole family to view our great parade to celebrate the birth of our country. The 4th of July Parade in Bigfork has been voted “Best Parade in the Flathead” year after year.

We live on 10 acres of mixed forest and field. In the summer we have an active blacksmithing school and flower farm here. The idea of a sustainable, self reliant lifestyle has always been part of our life and passing it down to others is a joy for us. Our Cabin and structures were built primarily of materials that were recycled or milled on site. which makes them warm and inviting. The Cabin is located close to our shop which houses an active blacksmithing school in the summer months where the rest of the structures are separate and in an area tucked away on the edge of the woods.
Jeffrey and Betsy work to make your stay as welcoming as possible. Please note there are no pets as the wildlife could be disturbed..both human and otherwise, thanks. We maintain a small orchard of fruit trees, a garden which feeds us year round and a small flower farm on the property. Avid skiers, bikers, paddlers and hikers, offering the property for others to enjoy was a conscious decision made when planning all of our infrastructure. There are great views of Glacier Park on the property and a wetland across the highway. Easy 5 minute drive to Kalispell and some near by destinations are: Glacier Park, Flathead Lake, Big Mountain Whitefish Resort, etc. Across the highway you will find the Rails to Trails bike path for walking or biking.
This property has been in the family for 35 years. It is a friendly and safe community area. We have chickens that may roam during the day and some times of the year we have pigs in a pen on the property you can visit.
Our dog Chester is a big golden retriever who loves everyone, but will notify us when you drive up. He is in a GPS fence, so he will not bug you.

On 2 acres within walking distance of downtown Kalispell and a short drive to Glacier National Park, we offer comfortable tipis that can sleep from 2-4 people.
The tipis are equipped with a queen-sized air mattress and bedding, a power box and lighting and a table and chair. You have access to picnic tables, a fire pit and a good selection of yard games like croquet and corn-hole to name a few.
The acreage is surrounded on three sides by Ashley Creek and boasts a unique covered bridge and awe-inspiring grandmother Willow trees.
Beautiful downtown Kalispell is an easy 10-minute walk. There you'll find local breweries with live music, a local ice cream shop, a variety of restaurants and shops.
Parking is not right next to the tipis, but we have a wagon to help get your things from your vehicle to your tipi.
Under the bridge is where you'll find our games, including croquet, badminton, Frisbee and Frisbee games, Bocce ball and Wiffle golf balls and clubs. We also have extra bedding and air mattresses in a secure chest.
Remember that you'll be camping in a field. We've done our level best to keep the tipis clean and clear of pests, but it is a natural environment, so there is a non-zero chance that you'll run across some dirt, grass, thistles, or a multi-legged friend. You might even get an unwanted gift from a bird. If any of that needs to be gone, you can access a broom and leaf blower on the bridge, or you can find one of us on the property and we'll take care of it for you. Thank you for your understanding!

We absolutely loved our stay here! We stayed for 3 nights and couldn’t have asked for a better RV site. The space was level, spacious, and had full hookups, making our stay incredibly comfortable and easy.
The host was absolutely amazing—friendly, responsive, and always quick to answer any questions. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and want you to have a great experience.
We also had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful neighbors, who happen to have a BBQ restaurant. They were so welcoming and friendly, and the whole area had such a warm, community feel.
The location is another huge plus. It was an easy drive to Flathead Lake, Whitefish, Bigfork, and Glacier National Park, making it a fantastic home base for exploring the area.
We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this RV site to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and welcoming place to stay in Somers!

We enjoyed a wonderful trip in our travel trailer. The hosts are so kind and very accommodating, and their space is quiet and peaceful. We used full hookups (water, electric and sewer) which all worked perfectly. Couple of tips are that you should bring at least a 50ft water hose as the hookup is behind the shop, and power is 50amp and located on the side of their shop so be sure to position your trailer appropriately or bring an extension cord. The space is beautiful with a big grass yard and picnic table. There is nice landscaping that helps the space feel private, and our kids loved seeing the chickens around the property. Very beautiful spot that is 20 minutes from Big Fork, 50 minutes from the Glacier West entrance, and 40 minutes from Whitefish. We loved our stay!

Amazing! Boyfriend and I are tent camping around Missoula. This site offers multiple views, a cute creek, and wildlife. Close to town but is so quiet and dark. Plenty of animals with goats and cows, plus plenty of deer and wild turkey. Convenient toilet and trash. Rhonda and Kellen are amazing hosts! We will definitely be back!

It would take big arms, indeed, to swim across Flathead Lake, the 28 by 15 mile beast of a pond in western Montana. But Flathead Lake is no Dead Sea (in fact it’s much bigger than that little speck of an ocean). This place is teeming with fish, and there’s no better spot to go to town trout huntin’ than Flathead Lake State Park's Big Arm area, located right by the long pebble beach of Big Arm Bay. Looking for something a little more epic than a (completely absolutely perfect) day of fishing and sunbathing? Scuba dive into the deep or watch the wild horses and bald eagles at Wild Horse Island, a quick hop from Big Arm. But Big Arm isn’t all surf with no turf! Traveling during the shoulder season, I found this campground nearly empty in early June. My site -- A10 -- was extra-large, quiet, and right on the lake, with super-simple access to swimming and an out-of-this-world sunset. You'll score an immense panorama of Flathead Lake and the mountains beyond by simply keeping the flaps up on your tent! I was serenaded by a pair of loons, wailing and yodeling into the night. The sites are large, and there are many that are right next to the lake -- those are the sites you want. I also highly recommend The Farmhouse restaurant in Lakeside, Montana -- just up the road -- for a supreme, healthy, farm-to-table breakfast you won't forget.
