Beautiful property and secluded site. The check-in instructions and registration flyer was very helpful. It was also easy to find some downed timber to supplement the firewood we brought. There’s awesome trails to hike / bike nearby at Brighton Rec Area.

And it’s absolutely perfect for our group. From the communication to the lay of the land and the outhouse, the site has everything you need for a great night of camping. The site is open enough to play catch, frisbee or any kind of lawn game. Plenty of trees to hammock and plenty of flat areas to tent. There is a sled where you park so you can pull your gear to the site, we appreciated that. Just an overall great experience with thoughtful hosts!

I enjoyed my stay at this site. Has a nice fire ring and tons of wood around the area that you can gather. I ended up bringing my own wood but I didn’t even need it as it was more than enough around the area. Very clean, private, peaceful, and all around a good site. I drove a big transit van and set up my tent, canopy and brought my generator if it was needed.
I WILL be returning!!

This place was awesome. Very quiet, well organized and plenty of space. I tent camped and the ground was level and I was able to pull right in which made it easy to set up.
The owners are awesome and such nice people. We felt really welcome there.

This was our maiden voyage in our new rig, our semi-local "dry run" boondocking outing.
The hosts were extremely communicative throughout the booking process, and very friendly and helpful throughout. Site 1 (North Meadow) is on the far edge of the property, secluded and isolated from amy neighbors. There is firewood for sale (and a sled for transporting if by foot), and there was also a good number of downed branches and twigs available as well.
The farm literally next door was a nice little outing that would be a long walk if buying a pumpkin or anything like that.
All in all, a great and relaxing time. Will be back for sure.

Camp 1 North Meadow - RV/Tent
This was a great place for us to land for the first night of our trip from Ohio up through MI to the UP. We spoke with Tom for a bit when we arrived and he gave us some tips on the areas we were heading to in the UP... very pleasant and kind guy. Quiet area and the site was very private from other campsites (which is important to us because our dog doesn't believe that any other dogs should exist in the world!). Definitely would return if coming through the area again.

We loved camping at Tom and Julie's place! Excellent location and clear instructions when we arrived! The site was beautiful - clean with soft grass for tent camping - while the views were gorgeous. We enjoyed dtar gazing and listening to the abundent wildlife. Will look forward to our next chance to return!

This is a very nice place to camp! If you're confused where to go when you arrive, pick up a map in the box as you pull in. Nicely labeled signs telling you where to go as well. Paths were nicely mowed and the site was well cleared. Very beautiful and quiet location. There were lots of mosquitoes in August, but that's to be expected. We built a fire and that made the bugs go away.

Had an amazing experience at this campsite! The views at Julie & Tom's land are breathtaking, and the landscape is beautiful. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, making our camping stay very comfortable. Julie and Tom were friendly and helpful while guiding us with the site and resources. We cooked food and enjoyed bonfire at the site. Highly recommend for a peaceful and enjoyable outdoor getaway!

Myself and 4 friends spent one night at this campsite and it was everything we needed. Secluded, peaceful, fire pit and plenty of space for all of hammocks and tents. We ordered pizza to the driveway and the owner was gracious and quick to respond if it had been okay to get a delivery.
We only had two issues. The toilet on site is usable however there is a sizable hornets nest inside. The second issue is of no fault to the owner. A second group of campers showed up around 10:30pm and used their bright headlights for almost 40 minutes to navigate the land, this lit up our entire campsite. They then proceeded to use their vehicle to play loud music with subwoofers from 11:30PM - 4AM.

Wonderful place to camp! Beautiful site/property. Very peaceful. You just stop at top drive, grab a map, water if needed from their hose by drive and proceed to site. Picnic table on site! Very well maintained! Highly recommend. This was my second stay!

Julie's place was perfect for a relaxing, secluded getaway in nature! The site was private and beautiful and no one was around all week. The walk to the site is short and crosses a idyllic stream. Julie herself was very responsive and accomidating. I had a wonderful trip.

Beautiful and fairly secluded site. As the name indicates, it is a few hundred feet walking from the parking area to the camping area.
There were a ton of mosquitoes and flies while I was there. Not a criticism of the site, I know the mosquitoes are normal for Michigan woods in the summer time. I'm unsure whether the files are typical for Michigan.
Information provided before arriving was good. I did not need anything during my stay but appreciated hearing from the owners before my arrival to ensure I was good to go.
Overall, great site that I would happily use again.

We had a wonderful stay! This was our first Hipcamp stay and it was exactly what we were looking for- it was private, quiet, and beautiful. There was also plenty of space for our two kids to run around and explore. Julie was super responsive to questions and so kind when our van didn’t start and we needed help! We would definitely stay here again! Also, highly recommend Cap’n Frosty nearby for ice cream!

We loved Julie’s land! It was well kept and cozy. Large fire ring, and great scenery. Julie was a great host and able to give us good instructions to get us settled. We will remember this spot when we are in town again!

Beautiful area and Julie was a very communicative host! Felt very private and quiet. Just a tip to other families, if you have a lot of people and dealing with young kids or heavy supplies, the walk-in site will feel too far from your vehicle. A wagon will help!
