The property has been in the family for 60 years. There is a small lake cottage enjoyed during the summer months by our family. We love to share the lake with others and see them enjoy it as much as we do. Learn more about this land: The camp site is located on a 246 acre all sport lake. Come enjoy the lake! Bring your kayak and paddle around the lake. Don't have a kayak? Well...neither do we but we have a canoe you are welcome to use. Come swim, float and relax on the water. Guests are invited to bring their boats and tie up at our dock. We have one campsite that is shaded by old growth trees on a dead end private road. You will feel like you are camping in a forest but only be 30 minutes from Notre Dame, 60 minutes from Lake Michigan, and close to shopping districts.The camp site is located on a 246 acre all sport lake. Water is available through the cottage on site. Arrangements can be made to fill fresh water holding tanks prior to setting up but access is too distant to run a hose to the camp site.

Sewage is not available on site but there is a campground 3 miles away that allows you empty holding tanks for a fee.

No TV connection

Generators not allowed

Generators can be used but only until 10pm unless special permission is granted.

Firepit, communal. If you need wood we have a wood rack on the property and might be convinced to part with some for a fee. We have a fire-pit in the front yard overlooking the lake guests are welcome to use.

Learn To Sailexperience

Have you always wanted learn to sail? I will teach you the basics of sailing on our Minicat sailing catamaran. The lesson will last approximately 30 minutes. To provide a good experience there needs to be an 8 mph wind so this experience is weather dependent.

Mini Truck Rideexperience

Want a unique experience to explore off-road trails and roads that go all the way around the lake? Book this tour and I will take you on a guided tour around the lake in our Japanese mini truck. A lap around the lake takes approximately 30 minutes. Seating with a seatbelt is limited and state law prohibits passengers in the truck bed under the age of 18. Note: Hipcamp liability has limitations covering powersports. We require a liability waiver to participate in this activity.

Pontoon Rental - FULL DAYrental

Want to go out on the water on your own? Want to anchor and swim at the sandbar by the island? Want to pretend you are a pirate and make your loved ones walk the plank? Rent our 20-foot, 10 person Sweetwater pontoon. The boat is powered by a 40 horsepower Yamaha outboard with power tilt. Rental includes a full 6-gallon tank of fuel and required life jackets (we have limited sizes available). We will provide an overview of the boat and lake navigation so the captain is comfortable out on the water. THE RULES (there are always rules): - The captain must have a valid driver’s license (required by law). - Full day rental is sunup to 30 minutes before sunset. - Do not try to navigate down channels off the lake. Engine damage is possible. - Additional fuel is available for a fee that will be determined the day of the rental based on the current price of gas. - Rental must be docked 30 minutes before sunset. - Renter is responsible for any damage done to the boat during their rental period. Note: Hipcamp liability has limitations covering powersports. We require a liability waiver for everyone participating in this activity.

Speed Boat Rideexperience

We will take you on a fast tour of the lake while the wind blows through your hair and we speed across the water. While we are out watch for swans, geese, ducks and turtles. The fee is per person, and you will need to sign a liability waiver.

If we are going out for a pontoon ride all guests are welcome to come along. While there is no fee, booking this experience helps us know you are interested during your stay. Note: Hipcamp liability has limitations covering powersports. We require a liability waiver to participate in this activity.

Water Tubingexperience

We will take you for a tube ride behind our speed boat on our 3-seat or single seat tubes. Mom and dad are welcome to ride in the boat to join in on the fun! The fee is per person riding on the tube. Guests on the boat are not part of the fees. For the really adventurous we can tow you with a jet ski for hairpin turns (single seat tube only). We have a variety of life jacket sizes available but may not be able to accommodate everyone. Note: Hipcamp liability has limitations covering powersports. We require a liability waiver to participate in this activity.

A place found off the beaten path. A tranquil location surrounded by trees, a beautiful lake, and friendly hosts. Tom and his wife tailored their hosting to our specific requests and made our stay very enjoyable. We enjoyed an exciting boat ride, had fun flying a drone, sat near a fire while overlooking the lake, and enjoyed good conversations. My wife and I not only recommend their location, but will be back to stay again.

We enjoyed camping on Tom's land in our little camper. The small lake is beautiful and perfect for kayaking. Pretty quiet this time of year. Tom was very friendly and accommodating. It was a great weekend!

Great location. Great hosts. 20amp power was perfect for running our fan and recharging our devices. Potable water was very close to the campsite. Being able to swim in the beautiful lake from the private pier was a real bonus. Highly recommended!

Great Lake and campsite!

We had a great stay! Tom and Miranda were excellent hosts. We were able to use their paddle boat and canoe. They even took us for a tour of the lake in their pontoon. The lake and campsite are very nice. As the name suggests, it is a wonderful choice for a lake getaway. We will be back soon!
