Welcome to the manifestation of our dreams: Juniper Moon Grove! We abandoned city life to create a human sanctuary where people can come for tranquility, self reflection and to develop a deeper connection with nature. We’re located on 8.6 wooded acres in the small Kentucky town of Ewing, perfectly located between historic Paris, KY and Maysville, KY.
We encourage our guests to book with the intention of getting outside of their comfort zone. Whether that simply means putting down your phone for the weekend or seeking a higher consciousness, Juniper Moon Grove was purposely designed to be off-grid (no electricity, no running water) so you can focus on the simpler things.
This is a sacred space, so we ask that you please respect the land and what we’ve built. We don’t wear shoes in our spaces and practice “leave no trace” when it comes to the land. We expect our guests to do the same. It’s our hope that you enjoy your stay and that you come out of this experience more in tune with your higher self.
We value creating a private experience when you book at Juniper Moon Grove, so we only allow one group to book at a time even though we have multiple sleeping options. Groups of 2 or less will have the option to sleep in a cabin with a queen bed or a canvas tent with a full bed under a pavilion. If you stay multiple nights, you can try both out. The space is yours to explore! Any additional people in your group will be charged a flat rate. We can accommodate groups up to 4 people (2 in cabin, 2 in pavilion). Price listed above is for up to 2 people. If you are wanting to book additional people, please message us for approval. Additional guests will be $50 each per night.
Cabin – This is an Amish-built 12’ x 14’ space with a 6’ covered porch and can ONLY accommodate 2 people. The cabin is equipped with a queen-size bed dressed with fresh linens and a coffee/tea bar.
*Please Note* There is NO A/C in the cabin, but we have 5 large windows that you can keep open for ventilation. This is an off-grid cabin, so that means there is no electricity or running water, however, we provide power banks that can be used for charging phones and provide light in the cabin. We also provide filtered drinking water.
Pavilion w/ Canvas Tent (The Sanctuary) – This is a 14’ x 20’ pavilion outfitted with a canvas tent and can ONLY accommodate 2 people. The tent is equipped with a full-size bed dressed with fresh linens and there’s an outdoor “living room” area complete with seating and a coffee/tea bar. Just like the cabin, this is also off-grid! No electricity or running water, however, we provide one power bank that can be used for providing light and/or charging phones. We also provide filtered drinking water.
Bathroom – Not all outhouses are built the same. We built a luxury outhouse complete with off-grid toilet and sink centrally located between the cabin and The Sanctuary. It’s simple – after you go #1, put 1 scoop of saw dust. 2-3 scoops for poops. We also provide biodegradable soap for you to wash your hands after using the restroom.
Fire pit – There is a common fire pit area with seating for four in front of the cabin. Please do not bring your own fire wood. If you would like to purchase firewood, it's $10/bundle.
Tree Weave – Artists from Asheville, NC built a 3-level tree net just a short hike from the pavilion. We invite you to explore and hang out on the tree weave, but please NO SHOES AND NO JUMPING. This is a functional piece of art and we ask that you respect it. Anyone who does not respect this art will be asked to leave.
Cooking – There’s a picnic table and propane cooking griddle with basic utensils. Please bring everything you’d need to prepare meals: cooler, food, specialty utensils, spices, etc. We live in a rural area and don’t have many food establishments within a 20-minute radius. **PLEASE NO COOKING IN CABIN or TENT**
Hiking Trails – We built ~.5 miles of hiking trails in the forest for you to explore. Please stay on the trails to ensure you don’t wander on to someone else’s property. These trails can get steep and are slippery when muddy. Hike at your own risk.

Idyllic and Tranquil Honeymoon Stop
The space was exactly as advertised,
and even better than everything we hoped for. My wife and I made this our first pit stop on our honeymoon and it was hard to beat -- we arrived in late evening and Jason gave us a small tour. The hosts were very kind and warm. We had a bonfire at night (joined by a few snuggly barn cats) and chose to sleep in the cabin, though the tent was equally idyllic. The cabin was beautiful, and fully equipped with lighting and fans, which was a nice surprise. In the morning we had pourover coffee and fresh farm eggs that the hosts gifted us. We explored the property a bit before heading out. The outhouse was clean and comfortable, with a functioning sink, composting toilet, ventilation, and lots of light. Advice to future guests: bring some airpods or ear plugs if you're a light sleeper, since there is a chorus of creatures singing in the woods at night :-) . Also, we didn't realize cookware was provided down on the lower deck. Overall, we had everything we needed and more, and we will be dreaming about this space for a long time.

Magical Forest & Tree Weave
Jason and Tash’s place was perfect to just pause and reset. It was so quiet and cozy. They’ve curated a beautiful and welcoming spot to let nature soothe what ails you. This special place will invite you you to just slow down and be.
They are also just around the corner from a great brewery, Turtleback Ridge. Thank you both for the wonderful space and hospitality.
