My kids and I had a wonderful weekend at Moss and Magic! Joy and Joseph were excellent hosts. They left detailed instructions and were easy to contact with questions. The site was private, well-appointed, and serene (until my kids showed up). It was raining when we arrived so I was especially thankful for the cozy RV instead of hustling around to pitch a tent.
The foraging experience was awesome - it was a highlight for all of us. The kids even liked it more than the s'mores!

Our stay at the Moss & Magic campsite was absolutely enchanting! Wonderful hosts and the property is great — it’s close to road and the owners home but still felt very private. We enjoyed the fire and sleeping in a tent under the trees one night, in addition to staying in the well outfitted and cozy RV. Huge perks to this property are the outdoor kitchen set up and the outdoor shower is simply amazing! I highly recommend to folks visiting the greater Mendocino coast — the central location made it super easy to explore the trails, rivers, and towns in the area. Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece of the forest with us!

My kids and I were so lucky to book one night at Moss and Magic after rerouting our road trip away from the heat bubble. The camper, site, and outdoor shower were absolutely dreamy! We loved lounging in the hammock and reading stories around the fire. Joy and Joseph were very responsive and thoughtful. I would love to return for guided foraging!

The ambiance was truly special, waking up surrounded by these majestic giants was an unforgettable experience.
The place offered a wonderful blend of indoor and outdoor living, perfect for enjoying the beauty of the redwoods. Evenings were spent around a campfire, fueled by the ample supply of provided firewood.
A unique perk was the luxurious outdoor shower, a fantastic way to connect with nature after a day of exploration.
Inside the trailer, we found everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The dining area was perfect for enjoying meals, and the well-equipped kitchen made meal prep a breeze. Sleeping arrangements were equally impressive, with a comfortable bed and a couch that converted into another sleeping space.
The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The combination of comfort, redwoods and a welcoming host made this trip truly unforgettable. We highly recommend it for anyone seeking a unique and relaxing getaway.

Ultra Easy Glamping
My wife and I needed an important respite in the woods and wanted to be close to Mendocino. We didn't want to prepare much and we wanted to be free of setup/tear down activities. We found such a gem at Joy's and Joseph's property. Their intelligent setup [RV/toilet, outdoor cooking, firepit and outdoor shower] was logistically perfect and it provided space, privacy and access. Highest recommendation.

Camping under the forest canopy.
We had an absolutely amazing time at Joy and Joseph's place. It was perfectly situated just a short drive from both the beach and the forest. They were extremely helpful and thoughtful with everything that we could possibly need. The beautiful outdoor shower in the rain on the morning of our departure was a wonderful bonus! We definitely look forward to staying with them again in the future!

Amazing stay
Most incredible way to close out 2023 and welcome 2024. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. The little touches are all with love and the space is so warm and peaceful. I had no issues. The quiet was inviting, not alarming. There was a bird singing on NYE that echoed throughout the trees. I really loved my stay. Hoping to return this year. The shower was also a highlight. I have experienced many outdoor showers this year thanks to hipcamp, but this one was the best.

A forest paradise!!!!!
All I can say is WOW!! This totally blew our expectations out of the water. It is a beautiful, large area that we had all to our self. So peaceful and the small little touches made us feel so special and appreciated. The outdoor kitchen is the perfect set up- they have coffee and have really thought of everything. I loved having my coffee at the larger table area in the morning. Listening to the birds and taking in all the redwood beauty. THE SHOWER!!!!!!! I took on in the evening and honestly it just felt so healing and really like nothing i had experienced before. You can feel the love this family has for their property and the care they put into this space. The trailer is cozy, clean, and full of thoughtful touches. All i can say is, we couldn't have loved it more. So much better than expected. Thank you to our hosts!

Serene redwood getaway
I loved staying here…the campsite is spacious, plenty of room to park and hang outside. The hosts are the sweetest down to earth couple. The trailer was cozy and inviting (it smelled amazing, like eucalyptus I think) with a great view of a circle of redwoods right out the main bedroom window. Location was quiet, you can hear the mighty trees swaying in the wind, so serene! I used the outdoor shower which had privacy, great water pressure and got nice & hot. The moss inside and views of the forest above were so cool! I also did a double healing add on package and I’m so glad I did. It was a massage/Reiki/guided meditation all in one. I felt restored and rejuvenated when we left. Would 100% stay again and again.

This is a lovely little spot near Mendocino. It is well kept and the hosts have provided a number of nice/cute amenities. My group enjoyed our stay and I'd camp there again! Much quieter and cleaner than public campgrounds.

What a magical experience we had! The site was so cozy and plush, shower was awesome, coffee bar saved us in the morning. The site was just rustic enough, we were comfortably situated in the woods with our tent, surrounded by pines, and still had amenities like running water and a close parking lot :)

Such a cute place! We had site #3, which feels secluded enough, but is very close to the bathroom and a short walk from the shower and sink (where there's an electric kettle and coffee/tea making facilities for those that need it). Little touches like the hammock, flowers and tablecloth on the table, fire-making accessories, and cute wooden table and chairs by the tent pad make it extra special. Navarro Beach and Redwoods are also just a short drive away.

For my 30th birthday, my husband and I stayed at La Luna Magic and it was like a dream. From the beautiful drive through the Redwoods, to the quaint secluded campsite, everything was perfect. The sites were very well maintained, and I loved the fire pits with seating already set up around them. We had the site with the lounge chairs, and in the evenings, we would lie back and stare up at the stars. The hosts were great too!! Very friendly and courteous, while still respecting our desire for some alone time. We knew that if we needed anything at all they were only a short walk away. We took the short drive down to the coast and the views were truly breathtaking. Everything about our weekend and stay at La Luna was exactly what we wanted and needed and we are looking forward to many more weekends here in the future!!

We had a wonderful time during our short stay at La Luna Magic Deluxe. Amanda and Chris have put a lot of thought and hard work into their beautiful property and guest experience. Chris met us and took the time to give us great recommendations for local kayaking spots and things to do around the area. The campsite was clean, spacious, and tranquil. It was a great spot for our first camping trip with our baby—the full camping experience with some much appreciated creature comforts. Hope to go back again.
