This place was over priced and the description was poor. If your toilet facilities are nothing more than a tent that contains a bucket with a plastic bag in it the you should say so. There was no table. We saw no one from the property. The directions to the property were poor. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

What a gorgeous site! Magnificent starry sky and soothing river. Go very slowly on the last few meters of road. We chose the “plateau” site because it’s the only one you can drive into. You need to park and carry gear into the “river” sites. Maybe I missed something but this was unclear to me from the property description and Veronica cleared it up by email. Anyway come here to see a lovely slice of BC!

The campsite was very beautiful by the riverfront. The site was clean and maintained well. The host was very friendly and helpful in carrying out stuff to the campsite.
We enjoyed the stay, it was peaceful, quiet and private spot by the river.

We absolutely loved our riverside stay! Our site was beautiful, surrounded by the lush forest and flowing river. Our pups loved enjoying the water while we soaked in the sun. Would 100% recommend Veronica’s property!

Very welcoming hosts! The spot was beautiful. Camping right beside the river and being able to fall asleep and wake up to the river every day was so nice.

Tent camping here was amazing. The river being so close by was such an incredible experience. It's one of the best camping experiences I've had. The host was super helpful and showed us around. Absolutely beautiful land and a very unique experience.

This was the perfect end to our road trip. The site was so quiet and peaceful, and there's nothing quite like falling asleep to the sound of a river burbling away at your feet. Peter was a lovely chap too, really made us feel at home. It was lovely to be able to build a fire too, not least because of the mosquitos. Would definitely recommend and happily come back another time!

Site 5 - Plateau Campsite
I loved using our roof top tent at this site. Pete was a great host and welcomed us to the property. Pete was friendly, provided us with firewood and respected our privacy. I would definitely recommend camping here!

We visited from Vancouver. The place has a river right next to it. It's not that deep so you can submerse your feet, or chill on your floatie. We saw some people tubing down the stream. Peter welcomed us and showed us our site. We really enjoyed the place, the toilet was clean and there is a garbage can.
I think the only thing missing was the bonfire but since there's a fire ban we weren't able to use it. Would def recommend staying here!

My partner and I went here for the weekend with our pup. We loved the riverside campsite was so peaceful and unique. We were the only ones on the river sites so had it to ourselves! Be prepared to walk all your things to the site as you park a bit away. We had a nice time and explored trails in Beaverdell and did some geo-cashing. Only thing is that we wished there would have been a coffee table as mentioned, we only brought one chair so was a little difficult. We also got visited by some wild creature in the night who was looking for food so make sure you pack it all up well! Overall good stay🏕️

Spectacular campsites right on the beach, beautiful views, lots of privacy, and the host was very friendly and helpful. If you are undecided where to go, come here! You will not regret it!

Riverside Camp Site
Veronica's riverside campsite was beautiful. The space is private and quiet. Pete was a super friendly host and easy to communicate with. Unfortunately due to some unforseen circumstances we weren't able to spend the night but we loved the day we had relaxing by the water. We would love to come stay another time.

Our stay here was FANTASTIC. The view was amazing and the river made for a great fridge and place to cool off. It was one of our favourite places to stay on our stay at 7 different places between Winnipeg and Vancouver Island. So much inspiration to be had for artists and great places to explore. We loved our stay.

We absolutely loved our time at 420 smoker road. Pete was extremely kind, hospitable and Veronica was prompt and professional when conversing with me before our stay. They made sure we were fully taken care of, had everything we needed including firewood. Honestly this was the best campsite of our two week long bc trip. The outhouse that we had access to was immaculate. The birds sounds and rush of the river put us to sleep every night. AND THE STARS! Such a beautiful spot nestled in the mountains. Perfect for star gazing, hiking, or even just walking along the river to cool off. We will be back. Thank you so much for sharing your land with us Pete, it was wonderful.

We had a lovely weekend at this beautiful property. Veronica was extremely helpful prior to arrival and we appreciated the property tour and assistance Peter gave us, despite our late arrival. The property itself was breathtaking, as we camped right along the river bed and listened to the sounds of the water to put us to sleep each night. The toilet with no no outhouse covering, left you open to the beautiful natural surroundings and was extremely clean and well maintained. We are already planning our trip back! Thank you Peter, Veronica, and your friendly dogs and kind mother we enjoyed a quick chat with.
