Nice Camp!
I loved camping at the Hood Lodge! Very quiet and peaceful with lots of sticks to make a campfire. The hosts were very welcoming and definitely recommend to anyone who likes more of a primitive camp.

Hood Lodge Tent Site
I enjoyed camping at the tent site at hood lodge. I was a little disappointed when I was greeted by someone renting out the property as opposed to the owner so I had to find the site and water spicket on my own but I managed. The tent site is very quiet and peaceful with a beautiful rock wall and tree line. Firewood was laying out when I got there which was very nice. The hike to the site isn’t that far, but it can be if you're carrying a ton of stuff so I would recommend packing light. Stayed pretty hot at night but I guess that’s to be expected in early august. All around great experience!

this is the one!!
as a last minute booking, this sweet couple was so accommodating to make sure I had a comfortable camping experience. I had great sleep with the frogs and light rain. the property is beautiful with trails around, tall floral grass with a pond and fire pit in the works. I will be back one day :)

Camping in untouched nature
Joe greeted us warmly and helped us carry our belongings to the campsite, which deserves praise. The campsite offers tranquility and silence in untouched nature, and I highly recommend visiting it.

Cave Spot!!!
The cave site on the farm is beautiful! If you are up for a bit of a hike from your car I would highly recommend picking the site. It was about 0.4 miles to the camp spot from the farm where you park. The hosts will provide a couple of methods to transport your gear to the site. I wouldn’t recommend bringing too much down there unless you’re willing to do multiple trips. The cave that was in our spot was gorgeous and fun to explore. We stayed during the end of summer and it was very noisy and buggy, but if you have the right gear it’s perfect. We didn’t mind at all and really enjoyed seeing all of the wildlife in the area.

A Window into Farm Life 💚
If you love the idea of farm life, this hipcamp is for you! Situated near the farmhouse, this spot is nestled among the chickens, goats, farm dogs, and guinea fowl, with views across the pastures and lake and into the rolling hills and forest.
The hosts were beyond kind and hospitable. We felt like family while there.
Our kids enjoyed playing with the family and running around the property so much, that they did not want to leave this hipcamp! They helped our kids catch fireflies, and Joe took the boys fishing.
This hipcamp is family friendly at its peak.
