Primitive sites
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or water at some sites.
25 plus acres with 1200ft pristine riverfront. Remote but accessible. Chose your site. Blaze a trail to the river, private beaches, tubing and swimming. 20 acres wooded and open field for a more remote experienced. Camp off your tailgate. You still have river access. RVs are welcome nice level easy access spots but no hook ups. Plenty of room for extra vehicles and trailers. Bring your horses!

Premium Riverside best Parking
Very private and secluded. We had a great time. Lots of tubers during the day on the river.

The campground right on the river was Awesome. The river was beautiful and great to just swim in the summer heat.

Cozy Cabin at CampFire Riverbend
Awesome time on the river!
Had an awesome time camping here! Easy to get to from the main road and the Oasis Travel Center being so close made it super easy to restock the cooler with ice and grab drinks. The bank sits about 8 feet over the river—which gave it a little more privacy from canoes and tubes going by, but you still had a perfect view for watching people and making conversation if you wanted. Plenty of paths (plus a ladder) to get down into the water. The cabin was a little warm for the time of year we went and ended up sleeping in our tent. However, it was great to have a room to store some of our stuff and change clothes in easily. If we were camping in cooler weather, we would have definitely slept in the cabin. There is a gun range probably about a mile from the site, so you'll hear some of that during the day time, but it's far enough that it didn't bother us at all—just a warning if you're wanting to ONLY hear the sounds of nature. Met the grounds manager briefly on our second day, and he seems like a really nice guy and takes good care of the place. The host was also very quick to communicate with us through the app and made us feel right at home if we needed anything. We will definitely book here again!

Great little spot
This is a really nice tent site. Plenty of shade and picturesque. Mother Nature picked the night I was there to show her strength but early the next morning, Richard was in contact with me verifying that I was safe and sound.

You'll wish you booked a week!
Place is fantastic & hated to leave. Host is friendly & responsive. Directions were very detailed. I pulled right up and easily unloaded by myself & set up in no time. Plenty of space for my 4-man tent, nice rock fire ring for campfire, 6-seater picnic table in great shape and plenty of deadwood all you can gather for free, and some cut & stacked to buy. The site is beautiful - large trees provide plenty of shade, and the view overlooking the river and the pebble beaches are just stunning. After the last group of tubers passed by around 4-5 p.m. it was crickets & whippoorwill. Nice and peaceful. The only possible downside hardly worth mentioning is the highway noise at bedtime, but the crickets drown out a lot of that and I got used to the drone of the big rigs pretty quickly. Also worth mentioning is the tiny cabin fairly close by so if you're seeking total privacy you may want to check if it's rented or maybe just rent both spaces. You won't be sorry to have the whole area to yourself. I didn't catch any fish but they're there. I saw several big swirls so bring your pole if fishing is your thing. The trail to the pebble beach is short, easy to navigate and a pretty hike through this lovely property. I suggest closed shoes for this (Crocs) At the end of the trail the descent down to the beach itself is a little steep so if you have bad knees you might need assistance getting down & back up on the trail. Do yourself a favor and GO. I'm just sad I only had 1 night to stay

If you like primitive camping, especially on a river- this is the place to be!!!! Nice shaded site so you don’t get over heated, tubing down the relaxing river. A great host, that checks up on us and makes sure we got what we need. Even running water for the restrooms! (No, not so primitive but always nice to not squat in the woods) We will definitely be back!!! Thanks so much Richard!!
