Also residing on the farm are a flock of chickens, several goats. The newest addition to the farm is a pair of small breed Kune Kune pigs! If you want to, you can help with the daily chores of feeding the animals and collecting eggs. After that, you can explore the big red barn that was selected as one of the top-ten Bicentennial barns in the state. Roam around the 120 acre homestead, woods and creek and soak in the sights, sounds and smells of the farm. Be sure to visit our farm store before you leave where you can shop for alpaca products such as sweaters, hats, mittens and scarves. Pick up some farm fresh eggs from our flock of pastured chickens! Heritage Farm has several options for overnight lodging. One of the most popular places to stay is in our authentic 1850's log cabin. And it's certainly special to us as well. The cabin represents a valued part of our heritage. It reminds us every day of our agricultural roots, solid values and the importance of faith and family. This authentic 1850's log cabin provides a comfortable retreat from your busy lifestyle and allows you access to a beautiful Midwest alpaca farm. The cabin has a large sleeping room upstairs with 2 double beds and 2 twin beds. We allow a maximum of 6 people in the cabin, but up to nine additional people can stay for $10 per night on the floor or in tents (you provide) outside. The upstairs is cooled by a portable air conditioner. The downstairs is not air conditioned, but fans are provided. Heritage Farm is a working alpaca farm with over 50 alpacas you can watch and interact with. Make friends with our black Labrador, Juno. Also residing on the farm are a flock of chickens, 6 goats and several barn cats. If you want to, you can help with the daily chores of feeding the animals. After that, you can explore the big red barn that was selected as one of the top-ten Bicentennial barns in the state. Roam around the 120 acre homestead, woods and creek and soak in the sights, sounds and smells of the farm. A stay at the cabin includes the use of a gas grill with side burner and a small under-counter refrigerator. There is also a rock-lined fire pit for cozying up to or making s'mores. You can even buy a s'mores kit to make 6 mouth-watering s'mores. If you are more adventurous, you can fire-up the brick pizza oven and enjoy pizzas and other roasted delights! We have a pizza kit available for purchase. The kit includes a dough ball for making a 10" pizza, sauce, cheese, sausage, pepperoni and instructions for making great wood-fired pizzas.   If you plan to cook on the grill or burner, you have provided a few basic cooking supplies such as a skillet, a pot, a griddle, various cooking utensils and table settings. The cabin also has a coffee maker and microwave. Located 3 hours from Chicago, 1 hour from Indianapolis, 1 1/2 hours from South Bend and 2 hours from Ft. Wayne.

    Heritage Farm’s is a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing camping destination. Beth and Tim are lovely hosts making every effort to ensure a great stay. The alpacas, goats, pigs, chickens, dogs and cats make the stay a delight. My 19 and 15 year old sons agreed it was a great location and both want to come back. We would recommend that if you tent camp that you bring a yard game or two because there is space to play. In short it was exactly what we’d hoped for.

    Extremely quiet, beautiful and lots of friendly furry animals. The directions for the RV site were a little hard to follow, but we found it easily enough. The interactive farm map was not very easy to use and since it’s a complex you really need a map. We did pay extra for an alpaca tour and firewood but there was no one there. When we called the host, he didn’t seem to know anything about it and wasn’t there but had his nieces deliver some wood eventually. Had to cook our steaks over a small camp grill instead of the fire because we couldn’t wait any longer. Lots of very friendly kitties to defend dinner from. They almost got our meal at one point. .

    Tim and Beth are great hosts with an amazing property. The alpacas, chickens, dogs, cats and the quiet are the most calming camping site you could ever want. It's a working farm. It doesn't feel like a working farm. It feels like a home in the country and we can't wait to come back!

    Heritage farm was an amazing reprieve for our family of 5 with two college freshman who enjoyed being in nature! Exploring the property, meeting all the animals who were so friendly, fresh farm eggs for breakfast, and a picture perfect fall weekend.     Me an my bestie stayed here for the weekend while we went to the Hippie Fest in Tipton. we saw the fun things they offered here and just had to stay! It was lots of fun! We were the only ones staying that weekend due to storms but that didn’t stop us! (Only eneded up having some light rain) we did the alpaca trekking which was very cool! The whole family was very kind! We plan to come back every year along joining the hippie fest! I will say they do have around 10 barn kittens that are very friendly. I didn’t mind at all I loved them. Just for anyone tent camping that might not like cats they will most likely join you at your camp site.

    We had a perfect time (helped by perfect weather!). Despite the holiday, we had the Creekside Campground all to ourselves (group of 9). The site was large and well-maintained with ample flat, dry ground for multiple tents. The kids loved wading in the creek and visiting with the friendly goats on the "island." We all loved feeding the alpacas, the leisurely hikes, playing with the kittens, and shooting hoops. Restrooms were clean and the hosts were lovely.

    Great place. Had a group of 13 at the Vintage cabin, more than enough beds for the little ones. The rest of the us, big kids and adults set up tents around the house. There enough sitting area on the deck and the fire place. The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The Pizza was great! Already planning for next year!

    The kids loved the farm! The dogs were very friendly, and there was so much for the kids to do there. The campsite was gorgeous with plenty of room, and made you feel like you were there alone. We set the tent up right by the creek and the sound made it an easy sleep! 10/10 definitely going to book this again soon.

    We took our grandsons to the alpaca farm and had a wonderful time during our visit. Tim was a great host and explained things to us about the alpacas and other animals that are on the property. Everything was as advertised and better! The boys enjoyed the kittens and exploring also!

    Our daughter loved playing with the kittens and watching the other animals. The basketball hoop and slide were fun as well. We had the camp area all to ourselves which was nice. Even if other campers had been there, there is a good amount of space between sites.

    Heritage Farms has multiple tent sites. I arrived late and was fortunate to be given a spirit right by the upper barn. Close to the washrooms and by the main drive. Not super private but was quaint and worked well for us. Fire ring, wood was dropped off. No tables. Creekside sides were a short drive down past lower barn. They are in a little clearing but situated well away from main house to grant a more outdoorsy and private camp site. It is a hike to the washroom from there. Place is clean and very welcoming. Getting there is easy, you’ll maintain cell signal throughout. 2x flush toilet “outhouse” functional and clean. Upper barn has air hockey and ping pong tables. Lots of farm animals - pigs, chickens, cats/kittens, of course alpacas. Great stay, great area.

    We add a fantastic evening and morning at Heritage Farms. This is our second time staying with them. The lot we stayed at was spacious and clean. We hiked the creek path and sat near the pond early the next morning. This is definitely our go-to when camping for a weekend!

    Heritage farms was even better than expected. The nicest hosts, and the location is just perfect. It is a special place to get away for awhile. While the location was perfect, the animals made it even more special. The alpacas are a curious and beautiful bunch, while the pigs, dogs, and goats just add to the fun. We were in a camper trailer with water and electric hook-up. It all was very well placed, and easy to set up. Whether you come just for a night, or several like we did, it's well worth it. The hosts were very accommodating with anything we needed, without intruding on our getaway. We spent a lot of time just walking the property and enjoying the views. The sunsets were gorgeous, and the setting, right in the middle of a working farm made them perfect. We cannot recommend this place enough.

    We loved camping at Heritage Farms! This was my first time camping but my husband is an avid camper. The camping lot was spacious and location was wonderful! We spent some time by the creek and on the trials! We are planning to book another stay with them in a few weeks because this stay was so great!

    We held a camp of just over 20 guys and stayed on the heritage farm property. It was an absolutely amazing and beautiful venue to host our event! I would highly recommend Heritage Farms for your next event! I cannot say enough amazing things about Tim and Beth! Wonderful hosts and beautiful farm!

    Red Barn Farm Experience RV Style
    Super cute spot with a ton of potential. We didn’t get add-on experiences that we paid for, nor an overview of the property; granted it wasn’t the owners who were hosting over the weekend. It felt like there were loose ends at the property~ perhaps from a recent event that was hosted, or miscommunication with the person taking over for owners. But my 13 and 14 year old loved it and property was amazing.

    Creekside Camping
    Creekside camping was private and relaxing with lovely hosts. Kids most enjoyed playing in the creek, cuddling kittens and the “slippery slide” after the rain. Beautiful property and the hosts were very hospitable. Great with the kids and happy to answer questions. Enjoyed watching and learning about alpacas. Nice to walk the trails and I even purchased some soft alpaca socks for the family. Very happy to discover the port a potties (not a bad walk) were flushing and even a sink! A real treat for tent camping. Thank you for a very nice stay- next time we’ll have to make it a little longer.

    Pine Row Farm Experience RV Style
    Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The animals were fun to see, and our kids had fun playing with the kittens. The dogs were very friendly and well behaved.
