3 Creeks Camp and Nature Preserve

14 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents10 acres · Anderson, SC
This Property was purchased by Grandfather in the 70s  and then was passed to my Mother. In 2013 I decided to live life differently and start from the ground up building with natural materials and found materials. At that time I was fortunate enough to have the land passed to me and I started building a home for myself and to be close to my mothers home nearby. After achieving the basics I decided that the best use of this beautiful land was to create a place for people to relax and enjoy, a park like environment dedicated to preserving natural beauty and amplifying it through a permaculture lifestyle. 8 years later I am blown away at how far the dream has become a reality and love sharing my space with people from all over the country.

Serenity on the Saluda

2 sites · RVs, Tents40 acres · Honea Path, SC
Just a small piece of God's creation right on the Saluda River. Come and enjoy the solitude and serenity of this spot on the Saluda River, surrounded by thousands of acres of forests and farms. Camp on the river, in the field or overlook the river from the high bluff in the old growth forest.  The gravel road going down to the river is finished, I drive my Honda Civic down daily and no issues (very low clearance). Kayaking from Holiday Dam to the camp site is incredible. The trip takes about 3.5 hours with lots of shoals and rapids. You can also kayak or tube from the camp site to Erwin Mill bridge in a little over an hour. This is more of a river float with just a couple rapids, but equally as beautiful.

The RV site was level and all the hookups were conveniently located and worked great. Her lakefront property is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed walking our dogs around the property and also taking some camping chairs down to the dock to take in the sunset. The firepit can hold a massive fire and I would definitely recommend buying some firewood from Debbie as it is perfectly seasoned and burns great. We really appreciated having the gas grill/charcoal combo grill on site to cook dinners on and there is plenty of space to play some yard games (cornhole, frisbee etc). We will absolutely come back!"

The best camping near Calhoun Falls State Park guide

Overview

About

Get ready to witness a beautiful love affair between rustic serenity and camping luxury. Bring a horse or boat along if you want to make use of the winding 10-mile nature trail and refreshing Lake Russell. Calhoun Falls is a simple-living paradise, and it’s South Carolina’s worst kept secret, so book early and book hard. There’s plenty to explore in this verdant, secluded paradise. The area used to be full of farms, and though the agricultural land has given way to new forest growth, old farms and homesteads can be discovered with a quick walk or horseback ride through the area. Watch the sun set behind the mountains from your perfect lakeside campsite. You’ll hate to see it go, but love to watch it leave.
