Weekend Trip to Vallis Oakes

Absolutely pristine & secluded. We had the place all to ourselves, with a crystal clear swimming hole, beautifully maintained grounds & surrounded by birds & wildlife. Our host Sammy was so welcoming & friendly, with excellent communication & check in directions. The guest wifi near the cottage, was especially appreciated. We can’t wait to return to this amazing oasis. 🌳

What an amazing spot very private and one with nature. Make sure you turn right before you start heading up the hill into the banana farm as Google Maps will take you. This is not the right way. There was a couple baby spiders as expected but the space was perfect and we even had a beautiful peacock come to visit us!!! (We call him Freddy)

We spent three nights here and it was very enjoyable and peaceful. A great base to explore Coffs Harbour. The toilets were very clean and the sites were spacious. If we’re in the area again, we will return.

A stunning spot with plenty of space and well maintained grounds. The toilets are new and kept in great condition. The forest behind the campsite is worth the visit on its own, perfect for walking the dogs and even has a mountain bike trail. Highly recommended, especially for the price. The back side of the campsite had has amazing views.

Our 3rd time to this property, 2nd time on site one, as usual Stuart has it well maintained and looking lovely. Excellent flat grassed campgrounds with heaps of room. This site is located on a bend in the river with easy access to deep pools and waterfalls. After our second trip is the pic of the three in our opinion. Host advisers 4WD only and he is right. The track in and out after a spot of rain in very slippery. We suggest taking some basic recovery gear such as recovery tracks.

another great spot in the Bowraville area, a good level campsite on a great little water hole, good and refreshing on a hot afternoon on arrival, very quite and peaceful with the whole campsite to our selves, plenty of room for the dog to run around although he spent most of his time in the water. the hosts are a very friendly young family and Sam was very helpful, and the kids turned up with fresh farm eggs, very much appreciated. we will definitely be back

Come and enjoy our private camping spots on the beautiful Nymboida River, New South Wales. Check in is before 5pm no check-ins after 5pm Campers have direct access to the river which is great for swimming and paddling. Please note that this is a free flowing river and there are rapids and waterfalls in parts, so care must be taken in parts. The campsites do require a 4WD to be accessed and are not suitable for larger caravans. Small of road vans and camper trailers are fine. Pets are welcome but we are a working cattle property, so if your dog is going to chase cattle it's probably not a great fit. There is a lot to do in the area, including bushwalking, chasing waterfalls, local markets, restaurants, wineries and galleries. 20 minutes from Dorrigo and 50 minutes from Bellingen. We charge $25 per adult per night Kids are free

The property is listed with NSW Government as private biodiversity conservation area because of its flora and fauna. The camping site is private and just a short walk to the river with a causway, swimming hole and cascades. It's made up of four camping bays and parking areas. Two bays suitable for car base camping with space for tent or swag, one bay suitable for small caravan or camper trailer. Great base camp to explore the Mountain area. On one of the sites there is a timber shelter where a fire can be made out of the rain. Short walk to the weir and swimming area.

There is no 2WD access. 4WD only. We offer beautiful river camping. Enjoy the company of platypus, turtles extensive bird life, reptiles, native flora and fauna. Spend your time swimming, river exploring & bush walking - all in total privacy. There is a pit toilet but you're welcome to bring your own amenities. Pets are welcome. Phone reception is limited. There is no Telstra signal, only Optus. Campsites are not allocated, you can choose wherever you would like to set up. Big Sky Farm is situated on 85 stunning acres, 3km from the beautiful Bellingen township. There are three sites in total, stretching approximately 150 metres. Two are camp sites and there is a Glamping/ Bell tent site coming soon. All three sites have direct river access. Riverview camp site offers a timber outdoor setting and a private campfire. Riverfern offers a private campfire. (Campfires are to be used when fire restrictions aren’t in place, limited firewood supplied but can be purchased at an additional cost) The Kalang river runs through the property offering direct access to spectacular private swimming holes, views and wide river frontage. There is also plenty of shade trees along the river. You are welcome to bring your own kayaks to explore on the river. There is plenty of access for cars, caravans and motor homes. We now have a brand new portable loo for your convenience, however we do suggest considering what else you will need to bring before you make a booking. Internet is limited with 5G in some spots around the river and camping areas. Pets unfortunately are no longer permitted as American Bison and cattle are farmed on the property. Some of the areas best beaches are under 20 minutes from the property with Coffs Harbour and the airport approximately 30 minutes away.

We are farmers, living the dream on 500 acres in beautiful Bellingen. Our farm is called Levenvale Farm. You will feel a million miles away, yet we are only 7mins into the town of Bellingen. We run an organic cattle property and have found a few spots around our farm to share with campers and glampers. Our campsites are "Beyond the Bridge" and "Old Flat Camp". Both are on cattle paddocks and have private access to Hydes Creek. Hydes Creek is a murky sandy base creek. There's lots of logs so its not recommend to jump in, but it's beautiful to cool off in the creek on a hot day. Both campsites have access to our compost toilet, and camping shower (gas hot water). If you prefer a bit more comfort or don't have your own camping gear, you can escape the hustle and enjoy being perched up on one of the highest points on the farm (with incredible views), in our Farm Huts. Both mHuts are furnished with beds and linen with limited power. Both gave private ensuite with compost toilet, gas hot water shower and basic kitchen. Book these Huts via our farm website. At all our campsites, we welcome you to have a small fire, and cook up a BBQ. Our Farm Shop is open 24/7 to self serve and grab some organic beef sausages or steaks. Reach out if you want us to have them defrosted for your arrival. All of our listings offer spectacular sunrises, sunsets over the mountains and wanderings through lush rainforest. Extensive State Forests are adjacent to the property so there are lots of walks. Motorbikes can be stored here although not ridden on the property itself. We offer 12 sites for campers, mainly well grassed with beautiful views and varying degrees of privacy. Toilet and cold shower available.
