For our family, it was perfect, chilled and peaceful. It’s a really well kept camp space, with green grass, shade, a clean new toilet and a beautiful stream to swim / play in. It was so nice to learn about Bison too, so adorable and majestic. Michael is a really kind person who made our stay very easy. We ll definitely be returning

We absolutely loved our stay at Big Sky Farm, just 5 minutes from Bellingen. The grounds are immaculately maintained, and we were so warmly welcomed with a well-stocked fire pit, marshmallows and toasting forks on arrival – such a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the whole stay.
The birdlife was beautiful, and we spent so much time in the nearby creek, swimming in the clear water and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Our son was loving life throwing rocks into the creek and making “barky boats,” watching them float downstream. He also loved spotting the bison and the super-friendly kookaburras who perched in the trees overlooking our camp.
The location is perfect – quiet and tranquil, yet only about half an hour from everything. We easily visited Dorrigo and the Skywalk, The Promised Lands, and Urunga and Valla Beach (which was the best swimming spot with a toddler). Evenings were a highlight, looking out at the “big sky” and enjoying incredible star views.
Michael and Claire are wonderful hosts – accommodating, warm and genuinely lovely people. We highly recommend Big Sky Farm for families or anyone looking for a peaceful place to camp, and we can’t wait to return in the future.

Big Sky Farm was spectacular. We camped there just before NYE and only had one other couple sharing the place. The sounds of the birds and insects in the morning were breathtaking. Michael and his partner were fantastic hosts and even provided us with marshmallows for the kids to toast.
There was also a portaloo that was well kept.
This place was one of our trip favourites!

Michael and Clare's property is perfect for camping. Large grassy field to set up by next to a babbling river just outside of the Bellingen township. What makes it special is the welcome and attention to detail they have set up. Firepits, wood, fairy lights and portable toilet that is is pristine! Michael and Clare are lovely people and very accommodating. We will definitely be back again.

Blue sky farm was such a great camping area. The place was beautiful and my kids loved the river and animals. Micheal was very accomodating and helped out so much.

We spent the Easter long weekend at Big Sky Farm and loved it. Claire was a warm and welcoming host. The campsite was shady and peaceful, with one other family camped next to us. The portaloo was clean. The best part - the beautiful creek! Thanks for having us. We hope to return.

We were a group of 4 girls camping for a friends birthday. We set up swags at a distance from each other for privacy but could easily help each other if needed. Very safe and secure location. Hosts were lovely and respectful. We enjoyed the river for swims whenever we felt like it and enjoyed the camp fire set up for us. Could be a perfect spot for families as well, plenty of space for everyone. Portaloo is well looked after! All in all very impressed and can’t wait to go back

Beautiful camping spot right next to the river. Michael welcomed us on such short notice and was very accommodating. There is a camp fire, wooden table and clean port-a-loo to use. The farm is only 3km from town so you can drive in and utilise everything while still being able to get away to your own little bit of bush. We stayed 2 nights and even with it raining on and off we loved the spot.

Big sky farm is a beautiful place to relax. 5 minutes to town so you can easily go for dinner, breakfast or supplies.
The river is perfect for cooling off and for kids to play.

We had a great time at Big Sky Farm. The river was running, clear and great for play and a swim. The sites were level, grassy, ample shade available if you need. We enjoyed admiring the many elkhorn and staghorn ferns growing high on the beautiful casurina trees. The portaloo was clean, we washed in the river. Firewood supplied. Private. What more could you want?!?! Maybe better sign posting?

Excellent camping ground with a tranquil river, close to Bello which is full of warm hearted and welcoming people. Black bear and number 5 are amazing cafes in the heart of Bello. The bison kept us company throughout the night under the stars.

A beautiful and private space with lots of shade and choice for sun too. We swam in the crystal clear creek daily, enjoyed the fire pit and fire wood supplied and the bison and cows around. We had beautiful sunny weather and enjoyed day trips to Dorrigo National Park, The Promise Lands and regular trips into Bellingen town (5 min drive).

Lovely camping spot by the river and great place to unwind and see the night sky. The hosts were very attentive and left us a nice surprise of marshmallows and a fire pit ready to go. The bison on the farm were a bonus. There was also a very clean and brand-new port a loo. Only 5 mins to Bellingen. Highly recommend.

Michael & Claire were very gracious hosts. The campsites are in a beautiful spot and include thoughtful touches such as festoon lights, marshmellows and the cleanest portaloo. The bison are spectacular to watch, and we enjoyed swimming in the river. I can’t wait to return- thanks for sharing your slice of paradise!

This was the most beautiful spot to camp in Bellingen. Picturesque property and totally private for us as the other site wasn’t booked during our stay. We were greeted by the owners with some info along with a pack of marshmallows and forks to roast on the firepit supplied with firewood.
The setup was brilliant and toilet much appreciated. The spot was shaded and we really couldn’t ask for more. We’ll definitely be back when we next come to Bello!

Thanks for having us to stay on your beautiful piece of land Michael and Claire,. It was very peaceful. And wonderful having the place to ourselves. Great advantage having the portaloo and even the welcome pack of marshmallows and toasting forks. Good directions to find the place. Be mindful that there is no phone reception at the campsite. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely stunning Australian bush by a babbling creek with waterholes. Beautifully maintained for your convenience including spotless porta loo. Close to Bellingen. Added bonus of seeing bison up close. Could not ask for more as a camping experience.

Top spot,peaceful quiet fantastic location, kids loved playing in the river, it was fantastic kicking back in the river after walking up around Dorrigo Falls all day. Definitely be back to this spot for longer next time.

We loved our time at Riverfern, a delightful grassed spot by the Kalang River just a few minutes outside Bellingen and a great spot for a base to explore the area. Claire and Michael were great hosts and the resident American Bison were interesting to watch.

This is a really lovely getaway very close to town. Beautiful sites right on the creek. Kid’s really loved checking out the bison.
Claire provided us a large fire pit and plenty of wood for our stay.

We had an incredible stay at Claire and Michael’s beautiful property. We were greeted by Michael on arrival and he showed us the amenities which were extremely clean. They had the fire pit set-up for us with wood and they even gave us marshmallows to use. They offered us great local suggestions for what to do in Bellingen. Overall, they were both extremely accomodating. We even made a mistake with our booking and they were so understanding. Will definitely book again and recommend to friends! Cheers.
