This was a beautiful spot and Nola was really welcoming and lovely. We spotted a platypus in the stream beside the campsite - would definitely recommend to others and return for another visit!

Really nice campsite, flat, private and lots of shade. Also super convenient as it is close to dorrigo but retains that quiet demeanour Fishing was is great if you like to chase trout. Host was super accomodating and kind. Would seriously reccomend it for anyone looking to stay in dorrigo, much better than staying at the Showgrounds etc.

Such a beautiful and quiet location yet close to town. We really enjoyed our stay here while going to the Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival. Nola was very welcoming and having power and water available was so appreciated.

An amazing spot in such a beautiful area. So much to see and do. A treat to have water and power available also. We would not hesitate to stay here next time we are in the area. Nola was a lovely host.

This is our second visit, so that in itself is a recommendation. The site ucked away from the town, but is an easy walk into the town centre. Secluded from the main house, so there’s always a sense of privacy - something that Nola respects.

If bucolic splendour, river pools, pleasant riffles , bird life, trout, platypus and natures flora appeal to you, enjoy a sojourn at Nola’s place. Adjoining is the welcoming country town of Dorrigo.
The campsite is private well grassed and shady without the threat of falling tree limbs. The view to the ridge top with the river pool in the foreground is a must to experience.

We had a lovely stay at A Special Corner. It was centrally located on the outskirts of Dorrigo, but felt far from the hustle and bustle of the town. Nola was very welcoming and provided a map of the area with sightseeing and activities. There is direct access to the river and we enjoyed watching water dragons swimming and basking in the sun. There is a water tap and powerpoint at the site and we loved the shade provided by the trees.

Lovely spot just out of town. Private space with water and power. We even managed to see platypus in the stream. Lovely host and would happily recommend if you're in the area.

Lovely private campsite with power and water located in a lovely garden on the riverbank on the edge of Dorrigo Village. Public dump point a couple of minutes up the road on the Waterfall way towards Armidale. Minutes to the Rainforest Centre and waterfalls. Highly recommended.

My review is based on a seven night stay for two adults in our caravan.
Nola met us on arrival and had a light on at the campsite, which was a welcoming touch, as we arrived after dark.
The campsite was flat and firm with adequate room to manoeuvre our caravan easily. The electricity and water hook-up was centrally located and easily accessed from any direction. The site was very private and so quiet, making you feel that you could be miles from anywhere and not in the township at all! You could hear the odd cow bellow occasionally and magpies carolling in the distance. The narrow gap in the line of trees in the corner of the campsite provided a lovely view to the hill in the distance. Other views of paddocks could be glimpsed through the trees and above the river. We sat by the campfire in the evenings and watched the sunset, and stars twinkle.
We enjoyed our stay at A Special Corner very much and left feeling very rejuvenated. In fact, we didn't want to leave at all! We would certainly stay again, if we were to return to the area.

Special Corner is a fantastic little gem for campers. Surrounded by beautiful trees on the edge of a Creek where you can have swim. Nola welcomed us on our arrival and gave us a quick tour of the property and some good information on the surrounding area. With power and water hock up this is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the area.
